  • "A true gem in the Hamptons for over 25 years, Starr is the best chef in this area. Everything on his extensive and interesting menu is a gastronomic delight. Wonderful salads and appetizers, a multitude of fresh seafood offerings, steak, rack of lamb, pastas,... all served with creative vegetable accompaniments. The service is always very professional, efficient and friendly. Atmosphere is lovely, including outdoor garden seating. We are so fortunate to have this exceptional restaurant in our neighborhood.   • "We have dined here several times and the food is always great. Steaks are always cooked perfectly and the staff is always attentive and pleasant. We would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion and would love to see them stay open in the winter. But until then we will enjoy dinner here as often as we can; Spring, Summer and Autumn."

  • "On our recent trip to Westhampton we were lucky enough to reserve a table for dinner at Starr Boggs. Unknown to us was their price fixe menu on the Thursday night we were there. My calamari salad appetizer was delicious. My wife's "mac and cheese" was spectacular, so happy she was unable to finish it. The seafood curry and the blackfish we had for our main courses were both outstanding. My only recommendation would be to increase their selection of wines by the glass. They had only one chardonnay which was from Lenz, which was acceptable at best. Great martini and extremely pleasant servers. Overall a great dining experience."

  • "When it comes to fine dining in Westhampton, there really is only one choice: Starr Boggs. That fact makes it hard to get a reservation, crazy-crowded at the bar, and diminished in appeal (at least for me). But thirsty and hungry after a movie, we dropped by for a late-night snack and were well rewarded. Fortified with outstanding glasses of Sancerre and Fume Blanc, we ordered four appetizers to share. Three were fantastic, the kind of sumptuous dishes that make you sigh and repeat after each bite, "this is really delicious." The lobster bisque could make you faint from pleasure. The fourth was more than good. Service was initially a little cool, but improved through the meal. It added up to a perfect choice."

  • "We have dined at Starr Boggs many times. this time my wife and I had Dinner on Thursday. We were offered two prix fixe menus - a Rosh Hashana Dinner, and a two course selection from a large number of appetizers and entrees. The special dinner was an extraordinary deal with a huge number of mouthwatering options but seemed like too large a meal for two older diners so we reluctantly chose the two course meal. All I can say is wow. The.meal was fabulous, the waiter friendly and knowledgeable. We have never had a bad meal at Starr Boggs. We will definitely go back."
