We had New York Steak and scallops with sweet potato fries. The portions were big and excellent. You can bring your own wine with no corkage fee.

My brother and father both had the ribeyes and let me tell you they were incredible!!! I loved every bite and every minute of dinner. This time we had the spinach salad instead of the Ceasar and the Spinach was excellent along with a wonderful creamed onion soup. Be it that my lady friend doesnt eat meat, we again had the Macaroni and Cheese which was wonderful. What probably draws us there more than anything else is their drink called the Good Eye which she loves more than any other drink and I'm impressed with the wide Bourbon selection.
A service note: I prefer to be served by the same server who takes my order, not someone who only delivers the food as they often do not have a clear concept of what goes where. Our food was absolutely delicious! From the oysters, to the soup, to the entrees, we were beyond pleased. My husband even stated that one of his most favorite part of our visit to Sonoma was the dinner at Stark's Steak and Seafood! The only negative thing I would state is that the outside of the restaurant was a little misleading. When we pulled up the area looked a little shady, and the restaurant did not look like the high end restaurant that we thought. We actually almost turned around and didn't go in. However, the outside was very deceiving and the inside was beautiful. Unfortunately, the only way I could afford to go to Stark's is during restaurant week. Even during restaurant week our tab for 4 and we brought our own wine was over $230, not including tip. Only extras was an appetizer and coffee with dessert.

You could not ask for better staff. The food is good- not great, very inconsistent as evidenced by our meal. We had ribeye and baked potatoes. The steak was delicious, but the potatoes were hard and dry. Not sure how you ruin baked potatoes, but they were not good. The mushroom soup I had was fabulous- I could eat bowl's full of it, but then dessert was only so so. A warm chocolate souffle cake with ice cream. The cake was very dry. This seems to be a theme- anything baked is going to be dried out! I'm not sure we will come back. The steakhouse menu is what you would expect, but the ingredients come from the finest quality sources and are infused with excellence. We had the BEST service and my water glass was NEVER empty (I LOVE that!). We had way too much food for two; I recommend a group of four, especially if you want to try the delicious array of side dishes they have.
