  • "I have always enjoyed Stanley and Seaforths but my meal was dry and unappetizing. It looked like it had sit under the lights too long."

  • "In 20+ years of marriage, Stanley's of Tacoma has always been our special occassion destination. At one time, the only premier restaurant in town, Tacoma now has several choices of which Stanley's remains among the top. Nice bar for pre-dinner drinks & appetizers, great views & service and very good food."

  • "terriable. over priced, very small portions, not great food-in fact very sub par, noisey, for a special dining experience that we were looking forward to- it was a total flop!"

  • "For truly remarkable gatherings, there is only one place for us in the south Puget Sound region for dinner, and that is Stanley and Seafort's. The staff, from the front door to the bar, to our server and other staff who came by to acknowledge our guest of honor, were infused with the same goodness their food is famous for. We started out with fresh oysters on the half shell and moved into salads, then the main course. I had seared seafood linguine - OMG! Others had Prime Rib - it was remarkable, and one guest had the seafood combo salad that could have been the best meal of the night. We shared a couple of deserts and topped everything off with a signature chocolate martini. OK, we indulged. The view that night was colorfully stupendous."

  • "We were looking forward to a fish dinner, and discovered many dishes had scallops or scallops in the sauce. Since I'm very allergic I discussed with the waiter. They had no trouble accommodating and the result was I was able to relax and very much enjoyed my altered meal. Hubby also enjoyed his. Liked the Spanish soup. Service was excellent."

  • "Always love the service and how special all your staff make each and every guest feel! We had a great brunch on Father's day and a really nice First Seating Dinner on 7-20-14. Our favorites are always the Pea Salad and the Burnt Cream...and even the moderately priced steaks melt in your mouth. There is a wide and varied menu, so definitely want to go more often to try more dishes. Our only complaint came from one of our party that had the Halibut Cheeks. They seemed to be breaded and deep fried....not what we would have expected. They are so delicate and generally very expensive and only available for a short season......she would have preferred a more delicate style of prep....say sauteed or lightly seasoned and grilled?"

  • "Very fine dining. The best dining in Tacoma Washington and the Seattle area. I have already told my friends about my dining experience."

  • "We came for our anniversary. Food was amazing. They were very attentive and we got a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Be sure to try the Grilled Teriyaki Tenderloin appetizer, it's perfect."

  • "Excellent service, food wel presented and very tasty."

  • "There were four of us, no alcohol purchased, and the bill was pricey. The food, as always, was very good. The veggies were excellent. The Early Dining is a good value, compared to the ala carte prices. The pea salad is outstanding!! Service was outstanding!!"

  • "Stanley and Seaforts has been my favorite restaurant for years. But I fell that on this visit the food fell well short of their usual excellence. Everyone in our party was a little disappointed in their food.....my prime rib did not have the usual excellent seasoning, salt and flavor; my granddaughters filet was over cooked; my friends mushroom ravioli did not have much flavor, etc. On the plus side, the service was excellent; the view stupendous and the mimosas were great."

  • "But it didn't knock my socks off. My meal and my share of the bottle of wine was $75 (including tip) but I didn't walk out feeling like I'd had a $75 meal. Maybe a $50 meal, but not &75."

  • "You never fail me...thank you!! I was treating a friend to a celebratory dinner for his new job. I requested a window table, and we got one right in the middle of the window line! Awesome. The server was great to recommend many dishes, however we chose the grilled pork chop. Amazing, the peach chutney on top was spectacular and the potato pancakes were unbelievable. So nummy!! We ended our meal with the burnt cream, as a thank you fro coming to celebrate. I love Stanley and Seaforts, whether for a full mean or happy hour, they never let me down!"

  • "The wait person was fine, but our food took a long time to arrive. We were a group of four, myself, my 2 daughters and my elderly mother.(Can't the servers tell when a group is not in the mood to linger?) The drinks came quickly but the food took way too long. My (lukewarm) lobster bisque arrived at the same time as the entrees. My daughter ordered the herb roasted chicken and found it way too greasy."

  • "Took the wife out for a lovely anniversary dinner. The service was great and the food was outstanding. In fact it was our fourth time joinithem for drinks and dinner and we can't wait to come back. See you soon!"

  • "We haven't been to Stanley & Seafort's for a couple of years and feel that the food wasn't as well prepared as it has been in past visits. It was still a good meal but it just didn't suit our pallets this trip. The service was fantastic and that alone is why we will go back."

  • "I brought my friends for a special 'thank you' dinner. One prime rib piece was chewy and dry. The surf and turf was over cooked as were the vegetables that went with it. The deserts were divine. The waiter was good, until we had our meal. Then he was nowhere to be seen. Another staff member asked how our food was, but by then one friend had shared her food with another, so there was no need to replace the bad prime rib. They did remove it from the bill. Overall, I've had better service and food at Stanley and Seafort's in the past."

  • "We both had the Surf &Turf (Filet Mignon &Lobster Tail). We also ordered the Maytag Blue Cheese salad w slivered almonds. The salad was wonderful, but miss the tossed salad sandegg mustard dressing. I had initially ordered the filet cooked medium rare, but it seemed the waitress tried to talk me into having it cooked "medium " instead of medium rare. Wish I hadn't listened. Although very good, overdone for my taste buds. I should have spoken up, but because I was with a "first date, I didn't . The small lobster tail was outstanding with the drawn butter. We also shared the signature "burnt cream" DELICIOUS...and my date had the chocolate mousse which he also enjoyed. A wonderful (although very expensive) dinner. (150.00 ) plus."

  • "I had asked for a window table and specified that it was my husbands birthday when I made the online reservation. We did get a window table and on top of it a birthday card and free Creme Brûlée ! The wait was minimal, the service superb and the view spectacular. Our only hiccup was with the Prime Rib my husband ordered was a little overdone. He has ordered it before, the same way with different results. Otherwise everything was wonderful!"

  • "This was the perfect choice for a 50th Birthday celebration! The Staff was so very accommodating. This was a surprise birthday dinner with a few other guests who had been delayed in traffic. The Hostess, stalled for me and got us a wonderful window view table. Then when we sat down, made it as though it was just the 3 of us. When the others arrived, they pampered us and met our every need! Wonderful experiece"

  • "Recently took my girlfriend there because a friend recommended it. The food was exceptional, the view was fantastic, the service was a little slow. Hostess set us up with a fantastic table, the bartender was very friendly and knowledgable. Only negative was that we spent a little too much time wondering where our waitress was. Not a biggie, but when my lady who was a server formerly starts commenting about things it usually has been too long. Looking at Yelp this tends to be a trend."

  • "View was fantastic. Good was delicious plus expensive haha. Service was pretty good waiter kept checking on us and kept recommending things to us.. a little strange but she was nice. Overall me and my fiance loved it even if we couldn't get a picture because of the good ambient lighting."

  • "Our special occasion was great from beginning to end. We were seated immediately upon arrival in a prime window seat. We were immediately told Happy Anniversary by the hostess. Our waitress was prompt at coming over and asking what we were celebrating. The manager brought us over a crab artichoke dip and said Happy Anniversary. My husband had the lobster and steamed clams. I had prime rib and Caesar salad. All were cooked to perfection. We ended with the burnt creme which was heavenly."

  • "This was an anniversary celebration. The prime rib was good. Mashed potatoes were a little dry. Would have preferred baked potato. Choc.lava cake was excellent. Brie appetizer was very good. Server very attentive. S&S need to upgrade actual tables or cover with a tablecloth. Extremely worn out tables. The view is very nice. We had a real nice time."
