  • "I had the lamb chops, wish there was another piece, definitely will not fill a male"

  • "Went to celebrate my birthday and take advance of your 50% Anniversary Special. Well worth the experience for the price. Only food was on special, but it allowed us the opportunity to try more dishes than we would at full pop. Drinks are great too, especially during Happy Hour prices."

  • "I always enjoy going to Stage Restaurant for its truly unique décor and location in the Honolulu Design Center. The elegant setting with every table using designer furniture, the Life Size Horse Lamp and the creepy butler doll at the entrance gets you in the mood for a different experience. The food is good and the service was excellent. We appreciated the extra touch of the Stage Staff writing my friends name on her dessert since it was her Birthday and the tall candle presentation. Parking and access to the restaurant is one of the most convenient places in town. We ordered the Angus Burger Loco Moco on Fried Rice and were happy with the generous portion and flavor. Mahalo to the Staff at Stage!"

  • "Food is beautiful to look at, delicious to eat, and very creative: Wasabi/lilikoi ice: hot and cold at the same time. Delicious tomato/bleu cheese salad, a beautiful orange creme dessert. You are surrounded by art and eating art. It just makes it so much fun!"

  • "We usually order the prefix meals so it was a wonderful opportunity for us to try individual dishes during Stage's Anniversary special. Hamachi sashimi, mmmm, could have eaten 3 times the order for dinner! Loved the shoyu gelatin that accompanied the sashimi. Excellent service. The potato rolls were delicious but we miss the pumpkin bread."

  • "We dined at Stage during their recent anniversary promotion. Though the restaurant was full the service was excellent. The food was very good though some of the portions seemed too small, especially the entrees such as the pork tenderloin. There were just 3 small pieces and a few baby vegetables. You really need to order an appetizer since the portions are tiny. The NY steak was delicious. Stage is one of our favorite restaurants but we notice the portions are smaller and prices higher so we are likely to dine there less than we did before. Nice for special occasions."

  • "Haven't been to new stage with new chef. Food very good and menu items good although wish could substitute a couple of items. Love the decor. Not really packed and service was excellent."

  • "Service and food were exceptional. I ordered a beet appetizer dish to share with my friend and had their signature lamb chop dish as my main meal. Friend ordered the scallop. All was excellent. They even offered interesting little palet cleanser before and after the meal and warm bread rolls throughout - I couldn't get enough of the pumpkin rolls! As my friend said, "the only thing they don't do is wipe your mouth." Location is good...it's on the second level of the Design Center, which explains the unique decor throughout the restaurant. Very easy to get to - you just park on the ground level in the garage and take the escalator/elevator up passing through Amuse Bar (great place also for wine tasting). Check it out!"

  • "There are probably 10 or so outstanding restaurants on Oahu and this is easily one of them. I chose it for my Birthday dinner this year, and am glad that it turned out to be the right choice."
    Dined on 3/22/2014
  • "Stylish furnishings, yes. Pretty good service. Nice variety on the glass wine list. Some dishes my companions had were apparently very good. But I found the dishes to be fussy - e.g., the hamachi that everyone seems so enamored with... there just is way too much of everything, except maybe the fabulous fish itself."

  • "Had a very enjoyable meal! Took advantage of their four course prix fixe menu with wine pairings and greatly enjoyed both the dishes and the wine pairings. Dessert was homemade ice cream on a bed of guava tapioca balls, with coconut flakes, and a yummy foam on top!"

  • "Service is excellent and compares very favorably to high end restaurants. Food presentation is very thought out and pretty. But the portions are small (don't come hungry) and food is ok. Beef wellington was ok, waiter said that only comes medium rare which is ideal but when it came was really medium well. Puny portion, it was smaller than the size of my wife's hand. The demiglasse sauce was excellent. They use low quality rice. Not worth $35. Was warned that the three course tasting menu portions were smaller than normal but see above, does not make a difference. Beet salad was ok, standard. Salmon was a bit over cooked and too salty. It came with asparagus and mushroom and both was cooked perfectly. A decent choice for $35."

  • "She wanted to go "someplace nice downtown". It was great good and excellent staff. The decor was definitely modern and eclectic and the staff was amazingly helpful. Everything went wonderfully and the evening was a huge success. We had the four course tasting with the recommended wine selection. Everything pair beautifully and added to a great experience. The only drawback was the restaurant seemed to want to try and limit where people were sitting. As we were enjoying our meal more people kept being seated beside and around us even though there was plenty of room in other areas. This led to a higher noise level but it wasn't obnoxious. Still all in all the dining experience was excellent and I would go back again for a special occasion."

  • "Stage is quite a restaurant. The food is very good and the atmosphere -- above a furniture store with different styles of tables and chairs -- is really interesting. We tried the ahi poke which was good and the beef wellington which was fabulous. Don't miss the barbecue French fries -- they are really great."

  • "Place sounded great on opentable. I've heard of amuse wine bar, seen inspiration furniture. Just had no idea it was all part of the same "front door", I wasn't a fan of having to walk through the store and bar to get to the restaurant but once we got there the service was impeccable. The food design and quality was top notch as well. We will go back for sure! One of the few places I can find beef Wellington."

  • "One of my favorite places for lunch. One of the best burgers in Honolulu. The misoyaki fish is also great."

  • "We found this place on open table, reviews were good so we gave it a try. After finding it going through insp furniture and amuse wine bar, it was a delightful electic decor. Each table was different, had a unique chairs & light fixture, the artwork was trendy. Just cool. Service was excellent. Between the wait staff of servers and bussers, they seemed like a group of home spun respectful local boys. Knowledgeable and delightful. Food was killer. Hamachi, escargot apps, lamb and Wellington, bana tart and lilikoi cream cycle a must! Fed a family of 4 for $300 for 3 apps, 4 entrees, 4 desserts and 8 cocktails. will be back....super cool place."

  • "Our valet person recommended this restaurant and we are so glad we experienced it! While it is in a unique place, the food was amazing and service was great! This was a perfect place for my husband and I to experience on our last night in Honolulu. You have to go thru a furniture store and a very cool wine bar to get to this restaurant. My husband had the 5 course prix fix meal and I had the 3 course prix fixe meal. Both were wonderful but I really loved every dish he had! Pumpkin bread rolls were very yummy, and we loved the mini pancake dessert with the honey ice cream. So delicious!!"

  • "This was my fourth time dining at Stage and I recommend it highly. Not only is their wine list exceptional the food is consistently good. Recommend, especially, the lobster bisque and either the Beef Wellington or lamb chops. This is not on the path that most visitors to Oahu take even though it is close to Waikiki. Definitely a place to which I'll continue to take friends, especially from out of town. The cuisine is unlike that you'll find in more traditional places that cater to visitors."

  • "My husband and I vacation in Honolulu every year for 2-3 weeks to get away from the Chicago winters. I am always looking for new places to try and this year discovered Stage Restaurant. Loved it! My husband had the lobster mac & cheese appetizer and I had the roasted beet salad. For entrees, I had the onaga three ways special; he had the duck. Both were delicious; presentation was beautiful. Dessert was the Very Decadent Cake and Pineapple Crisp. The only complaint I have is that the entrees were served while my husband left to take a call..they just set his plate down and left it...a little strange. Otherwise service was excellent. The right amount of atmosphere with the best blend of quality food and gastronimics. Will def be back."

  • "I've always enjoyed Stage.....everything from food to service has always been outstanding. Our lunch the other day was very disappointing. My chicken so dry it was powdery plus the portion was miniscule. The portions for all our lunches left us hungry. Also our waiter kept interrupting us. He came by many times, cutting into our conversation, then after he brought our check he was nowhere to be found. We finally flagged down a busboy to take our check. Not good."

  • "We didnn't quite know what to expect from a restaurant in a furniture store. Stage knocked our socks off! From the quirky furnishings - borrowed from the furniture store - to the attentative and knowledgeable servers and the incredible food, this place was a real find!"

  • "This restaurant is always great--this is my 3rd time there and it's consistently excellent. My favorite is usually the burger, but this time I decided to try the crab sandwich. It will be tough making a choice on my next visit. Salads are fresh and flavorful. I am not much of a dessert person, but their Vietnamese coffee flan is amazing! The great service makes your experience all the better. The decor is certainly unique. Lastly, parking is a breeze and for lunch it's free."

  • "Our server, Tod was great! I took my parents here for lunch and we had an overall lovely experience. This was our first time dining here for lunch - we had only come for dinner and we will definitely be returning! I am a concierge for Expedia so this is one of my favorites to recommend to guests who either have a rental car or don't mind taking a taxi outside of Waikiki."

  • "Its a great place to meet for lunch. Parking was plentiful in their garage and the menu was reasonable. We celebrated a birthday and they brought out a cake with a candle...so special."
    Dined on 12/13/2013
  • "The parking area was way too small and it was like playing musical chairs with cars slowly circling for a spot. I sent my girlfriend up to insure we were on time, however when I joined her some minutes later, our table still wasn't ready. We ordered the prix fixe and our dining experience was poor at best. First course (raw scallops & salad) were served at room temp, main course (Beef Wellington & Salmon) was the same, by the time our dessert arrived we had been sitting there over 90 minutes (total service time for 3 courses was just over 2 hours!?). Needless to say we left, tired & hungry and would not recommend it to anyone."

  • "One of my favorite restaurants so I have been here a number of times for both lunch and dinner. Kitchen had an off day as we waited over 30 minutes for our Lunch Ensemble to be served. Although they were good about filling up our water glasses, the staff did not acknowledge the delay, and finally after I inquired, our delicious lunch finally appeared before us in about 5 minutes. Soup, salad, fish, all delicious as usual."

  • "It was nice that Stage Restaurant participated in the Hawaii Restaurant Week. My friend and I enjoyed the Prix Fixe special. The moonchon special was delicious. The kimchee burger that I had was overdone and dry. The calamari app was delicious. The desserts were superb. The service was very good."

  • "Each and every time coming to Stage we got out happy. Food is always great and they keep changing it so it's always different experience each time, but it's always good."
    Dined on 11/19/2013
  • "Some of the food was great, however a bit slow when it came between courses. An acknowledgement of a delay in the kitchen would have been nice instead of being avoided. One of the main entree I had was fairly room-temperature cold. But nonetheless I still ate it without complaint to the server. Overall experience was not so bad. Been here a few months before and it was a better experience than today."

  • "The decor is somewhat severe and industrial and done mainly in black... the food is excellent, the service is fine ... we tried it out at lunch and the misoyaki butterfish was as good as found anywhere else. They offer a couple of fixed price menus as well as a la carte. Recommended!"
