Stage Restaurant HawaiiPerfect date nightMy husband and I loved our dinner at Stage. I hadn't been here since it first opened, but I'm glad we came back. Service was impeccable. Except for one thing: the family sitting next to us, who arrived after us, got their dinners before we did. I hope it wasn't because the dad was a local "celebrity," but our server and manager both stopped by and apologized for the delay and assured us our meals were on their way out. My husband started with the mushroom soup and I had the diver scallop sashimi. Both fantastic! I had the wasabi and furikake crusted ahi, seared to perfection, with a succotash and a buttery sauce, and hubby had the braised short rib, which he just devoured. Don't let the restaurant in the design center fool you! You will not be disappointed. Food is fantastic with great presentation. Between the server and the bus staff, my water glass was always full and plenty of bread. Food was fabulous. I had Cabernet Braised Beef Short Rib. Beautifully presented - tastefully delicious. The desserts (lilikoi creamsicle, milk chocolate panne cotta) were amazing.
Service was also perfect.

There was a little longer wait between courses this time around, but the taste of the food and good service made up for it.
