Diner Reviews
  • "Went for breakfast and really liked the salmon platter. Plenty of salmon, tomatoes, and capers to go on top of the bagel."

  • "I cannot get enough of this place!!!! The consistency of the service is exceptional as well as the food. It is my #1 place for breakfast."

  • "I had been here for dinner and had to try their breakfast. The service was great and our server Burton and Arturo were very attentive to our needs. I will be coming here when I'm in DTLA and when I stay in the hotel Luxe City Center....."

  • "Their restaurant is breathtaking!!! I love that their menu has both traditional and adventurous dishes. I checked out their breakfast menu and it also looks appealing. My server Yolanda was very attentive and I will definitely be back soon."

  • "Went to this place before seeing Justin Timberlake at Staples. The place was a great BAR scene, but not great for a dining experience and the service was terrible. After waiting almost an hour for our food, we had to leave and the server & their management seemed inexperienced & werent helpful in trying to even figure out what to do. I wouldnt go back unless it was for cocktails only and I didnt have any plans to be somewhere afterward. (we ended up eating hotdogs at Staples)"

  • "This spot is conveniently located across the street from Staples. It is open at 5:00 so it is convenient for pre or post Music Center dining. My husband and I had a great early dinner after our matinee at the Ahmanson. I had the bone marrow appetizer, the steak cooked deliciously rare and a panna cotta for dessert. Both my and my husband's dishes were very tasty and cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed a nice Bordeaux from their wine list. Service was friendly and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant and we will be returning soon."

  • "It was a business breakfast and the food was fine, they substituted fruit for potatoes included with my eggs which surprisingly did not include toast. Was very glad to see they offered chicken sausage as an alternative. My boss enjoyed his big bowl of oatmeal but overall the food and service were good, but not exceptional."

  • "After graduation we reserved for a large group. We got there early and the table was already ready. We has many workers checking on us and answering menu questions . Extensive variety on the menu and all items we ordered were delicious. Definitely going back !"

  • "Was looking for a nicer restaurant close to Staples to repay a friend for her generosity. She has GREAT seats for the LA Kings. If you want to dine a level up from the majority of spots in L.A. live, this is your place. There are two sides to the menu. One is more traditional fare, and the other side is a bit more adventurous. We ordered from both and pleased with everything. If you have time, have a cocktail outside at the other bar in the hotel. It's a beautiful patio."

  • "A group of 6 went for DineLa. The service was very slow but friendly. My appetizer was supposed to be grilled artichoke stuffed with Dungeness crab. No crab & not grilled. However my friends mussels were perfect. My salmon entree was perfectly cooked. But my friends tenderloin was over cooked. Dessert was supposed to be bourbon apple crumble. Which turned out to be to chocolate cookies with sliced apples. NEVER AGAIN!"

  • "With so many great restaurants downtown this is one to skip. Food was mediocre and service was not good. Not worth the price or time."

  • "My friends and I came to the FIgOly for Dine LA. We were looking forward to trying the steak, but the waiter pushed the pork loin chop. It was a last minutes decision that we did not regret. One of the best chops I've had. If I was not in a public area, I would have been gnawing on that bone for an every morsel of meat or fat. It was that good."

  • "The reviews for FigOly were terrible - which would have discouraged me from going - if not for Dina LA and the description that this would be a preview of the new restaurant under the name of Stafford & Mathis. I decided to take a chance. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, with staff that tried very hard to make a good impression. The crowd was light (mostly hotel guests, I presume), probably because of the bad reviews - so it might take awhile to reverse course. The food was good, and like I mentioned already, the service was very attentive and polite. The Velvet Revolver cocktail was really good. Overall, worth-it."

  • "They have great booths that fit parties of 6. Fun atmosphere, the waiter was pleasant but service was VERY slow. Waiter could of communicated more to ease the long gaps of food delivery. Food was very good once served and the manager was very concerned afterwards Regarding our experience there. They comped us our drinks to make up for the delayed Service which was nice. We will definitely try again."

  • "I really hope they get their act together - this placed has so much potential. I have been over 4 times in the past month... Pre-game or Pre-concert at Staples / Nokia. Location, vibe, view and drinks are all great. Staff and food really need some attention. Since I have been so frequently - I really was hoping for a better experience, and nope. It just kept disappointing. staff doesn't know the menu or wine list. Multiple plates and glasses were dropped each time I was there and we were basically left to catch any server, host or busser that walked by to get a drink, order more food or clean plates. I really hope they get it right - the location is so great."
