The proximity of the Stable Café to the Biltmore Estate house made it a great choice to get some great food and additional atmosphere while not losing any touring time. We opted for the stable booth seating so were delayed a short while until a booth freed up but we were happy with that choice. I have to admit that when we mentioned that we had reservations that they looked at us as though we had 2 heads. I'm thinking that this place just excels in getting people in and out without reservations, so I'm not sure what the point of making them online was all about. Shortly after we arrived at the café we noticed that what had been a quickly building line disappeared. We later realized that there was loft seating and that all comers at that point were being diverted to that entrance. So, if you have your heart set on the actual main floor stable dining you might want to be there well before noon (or perhaps well after noon). I'm sure that the day of the week and/or holiday period also have a significant effect on seating area and wait time. We were extremely happy with our decision to dine there between the house tour and the visit to Antler Hill Village where the wine tasting takes place.

This is one place you don't want to miss during your visit to The Biltmore Estate! The atmosphere is unique - how often does one dine in a stable? The menu fantastic, the service great and everything is done with that special Biltmore flair. We like this place so much we ate there three times during our stay. It's great for both lunch and dinner and they accommodate gluten free requirements very well.

The Stables offered a wonderful menu, great ambiance, and our service from Whit was attentive without being overbearing. We visited for dinner on our twentieth wedding anniversary, and we are very glad we did. The menu offered a wonderful array of choices for food and drink. The roasted chicken and lamp chops were our choices, and each was well cooked and delicious. The desserts were wonderful, and we left with the hope we would return soon. Whit, our server, took wonderful care of us, and he was able to answer any question about the food and the history of the stables. I recommend the Stables to anyone who desires a memorable night for a special occasion, or for a group looking for a good place for a dinner party. You will not be disappointed at the end of your meal.

We were visiting the Biltmore Estate for our Anniversary weekend. We drove in on Friday and had little time before our 7 pm candlelight tour. We were able to make last-minute reservations at the Stable Cafe and were seated immediately. They were able to get us out within an hour so that we could make our 7 pm tour time. We didn't want to rush the dessert, so our waitress was kind enough to hold it for us till after our tour at 9 pm. We were able to pick up our dessert and enjoy it in our hotel room! The food was excellent - the dessert was outstanding! We enjoyed the ambiance (I love horses, so it was fun to eat in the old stable) and the service was outstanding! Highly recommend.

Heat did not seem to be on and it was quite chilly inside, so we ordered hot tea. We shared the peminto cheese with crisp bread and a bowl of Pumpkin and Red Pepper Bisque. The bread was a little too crisp and we found dipping it in the bisque better than the peminto cheese. This was followed up with one order of the sampler. That was very tasty, especially the pickles. Cole slaw was good but the roasted chicken just did not have me begging for more like the pulled pork and ribs. A lot of food. Waitress was excellent.

The food is wonderful... never had a bad item there. If you go this fall and the soup of the day is the pumpkin and roasted red pepper bisque... GET IT. Wanted to lick the bowl. It's a neat ambiance in a stable, and a great central place on the Biltmore Estate to eat.

We enjoyed a early lunch in the stables. The food was delicious, I got the grilled chicken with potatoes and a side salad. Everyone else got the BBQ . The lunch was enjoyed by all . Such a calm environment ,especially compared to the outdoor patio where you're typical park food is enjoyed. We all had full stomachs and ready to tour the Biltmore House and grounds. Which was so nice on a September fall day.

We ate lunch here with our five grandchildren. We had a made a reservation so we were able to seat our large group quickly. The waitress was super with the children-taking their orders quickly and efficiently. One of the children had a special request that the cheese be on the side and not melted on the hamburger. When the order arrived, it was as ordered. Our waitress checked back often to make sure all was well. The food was delicious-we had a bison burger. One suggestion is to offer more side options instead of fries.

The Stable Café is an innovative reuse of the Biltmore Mansion stables. Where else can you eat in what once was a stable for a Biltmore horse? The Café is conveniently located adjacent to the Biltmore Mansion. It serves excellent comfort fare. The Carolina BBQ is outstanding. There are a variety of chicken, BBQ, sandwich, and salad options. It is a fun place for a lunch while visiting Biltmore. Make a reservation as the place usually has a waiting line.

One expects to pay for convenience and the Stable is in that category. Food was well prepared but overpriced. The convenience of being a short walk from the Biltmore concert that evening prompted my reservation. The rating was based on the fact that the room was probably 90 degrees. I dont know if there is air conditioning but if so it was not working. It was hard to enjoy our dinner with that repressive heat which we were not warned about or given an alternate choice. Service at the Biltmore Estate is always superb.

We took the house tour in about 3 hours. It was time for lunch. The Stables Cafe was comfortable even at a table not one of the "Stall" booths with padded seats. The service was quick and the food and portions just right. We both chose the rotisserie chicken. It was a perfect respite before continuing on to the Gardens and Winery to complete our day.

Our waitress, Katie, was excellent. The food was delicious in all aspects. I enjoyed the Heritage Bison Burger so much that I went shopping in search of the onion jam that was used on the burger. Couldn't find it so I returned to the check in desk of the Stable Cafe and they gave me a business card for Jessica Clubb, Stable Cafe Demi Chef and said that if I emailed, she would share the recipe for this onion jam. So I did send an e-mail Monday, July 28th but she has not responded yet. Hope she does because that was delicious. I am repeating this statement to the restaurant. I'd love to get the recipe.

Beautifully renovated former stables -- tables are within the original stall areas -- very cool. We got the barbecue sampler which was fairly tasty, but a little expensive. Service was very good. A little pricey, but most things at the Biltmore are. We were late for our reservation and they very graciously seated us almost immediately.

Food was not as good as we've had many times before being Biltmore pass holders for years. Side salad was small and way overpriced. The entree chicken salad had nothing else but chicken and green lettuce that was not that good. For some reason half of the BBQ ribs in the entree were not that great and the other half were very good. The food was too hot on the outside, but not heated on the inside. This makes me think Ii'm getting microwave heated food. On prior visits we have had better food all the way around. It seems that this restaurant is cutting back it's quality to customers.

Yes, the restaurant is located in a beautifully restored stable, and our booth was in one of the stalls. The location next to the Biltmore mansion, which provided a break in our long day at the historic Biltmore Estate, was welcome. Our two entrees included a spicy pork stew and a sausage reubin. Both were excellent! We finished with a blueberry upside down cake with home made ice cream and a lavendar honey caramel sauce. Everything was great, including our friendly server, and the atmosphere was fun.
