We enjoyed a early lunch in the stables. The food was delicious, I got the grilled chicken with potatoes and a side salad. Everyone else got the BBQ . The lunch was enjoyed by all . Such a calm environment ,especially compared to the outdoor patio where you're typical park food is enjoyed. We all had full stomachs and ready to tour the Biltmore House and grounds. Which was so nice on a September fall day.

We ate lunch here with our five grandchildren. We had a made a reservation so we were able to seat our large group quickly. The waitress was super with the children-taking their orders quickly and efficiently. One of the children had a special request that the cheese be on the side and not melted on the hamburger. When the order arrived, it was as ordered. Our waitress checked back often to make sure all was well. The food was delicious-we had a bison burger. One suggestion is to offer more side options instead of fries.

The Stable Café is an innovative reuse of the Biltmore Mansion stables. Where else can you eat in what once was a stable for a Biltmore horse? The Café is conveniently located adjacent to the Biltmore Mansion. It serves excellent comfort fare. The Carolina BBQ is outstanding. There are a variety of chicken, BBQ, sandwich, and salad options. It is a fun place for a lunch while visiting Biltmore. Make a reservation as the place usually has a waiting line.

One expects to pay for convenience and the Stable is in that category. Food was well prepared but overpriced. The convenience of being a short walk from the Biltmore concert that evening prompted my reservation. The rating was based on the fact that the room was probably 90 degrees. I dont know if there is air conditioning but if so it was not working. It was hard to enjoy our dinner with that repressive heat which we were not warned about or given an alternate choice. Service at the Biltmore Estate is always superb.

We took the house tour in about 3 hours. It was time for lunch. The Stables Cafe was comfortable even at a table not one of the "Stall" booths with padded seats. The service was quick and the food and portions just right. We both chose the rotisserie chicken. It was a perfect respite before continuing on to the Gardens and Winery to complete our day.

Our waitress, Katie, was excellent. The food was delicious in all aspects. I enjoyed the Heritage Bison Burger so much that I went shopping in search of the onion jam that was used on the burger. Couldn't find it so I returned to the check in desk of the Stable Cafe and they gave me a business card for Jessica Clubb, Stable Cafe Demi Chef and said that if I emailed, she would share the recipe for this onion jam. So I did send an e-mail Monday, July 28th but she has not responded yet. Hope she does because that was delicious. I am repeating this statement to the restaurant. I'd love to get the recipe.

After a wonderful but long tour, it was great to sit, relax, and nosh without getting in the car or walking still further. While there were lots of people in the restaurant, four of us could easy talk. The panzanella salad, mashed potatoes, and BBQ pork were big hits at our table.

Beautifully renovated former stables -- tables are within the original stall areas -- very cool. We got the barbecue sampler which was fairly tasty, but a little expensive. Service was very good. A little pricey, but most things at the Biltmore are. We were late for our reservation and they very graciously seated us almost immediately.

It is an interesting and fun place to eat when visiting the Biltmore Estate. Interesting conversion of a beautiful stable to eatery. The staff couldn't be friendlier. However you can't just drop in for lunch unless you have an annual pass to get into the estate. I would make it a point to eat there when visiting!!

We ate at the Stable Cafe when it opened at 11:00AM on a Tuesday. It wasn't real busy initially. They serve very quickly and get you back out to enjoy Biltmore sites quickly. I had to send back the first plate because it had things I was allergic to. After that, I enjoyed my meal.

Food was not as good as we've had many times before being Biltmore pass holders for years. Side salad was small and way overpriced. The entree chicken salad had nothing else but chicken and green lettuce that was not that good. For some reason half of the BBQ ribs in the entree were not that great and the other half were very good. The food was too hot on the outside, but not heated on the inside. This makes me think Ii'm getting microwave heated food. On prior visits we have had better food all the way around. It seems that this restaurant is cutting back it's quality to customers.

We would highly recommend enjoying a meal next to the estate at the Stable Café.

Yes, the restaurant is located in a beautifully restored stable, and our booth was in one of the stalls. The location next to the Biltmore mansion, which provided a break in our long day at the historic Biltmore Estate, was welcome. Our two entrees included a spicy pork stew and a sausage reubin. Both were excellent! We finished with a blueberry upside down cake with home made ice cream and a lavendar honey caramel sauce. Everything was great, including our friendly server, and the atmosphere was fun.

We have enjoyed eating at the Stable Cafe when we were at Biltmore. It is a little pricey for lunch, but a very nice getaway from the crowded outside dining area, with much better food. We did have one complaint though, we had a large air-conditioning vent on the floor next to our booth and we had to put our jackets back on because it was so cold. They need to add a "baffle" on these vents to redirect the air AWAY from the table. This might feel great in mid-summer heat, but on a nice spring day it was not pleasant at all, kind of ruined what would have been a very nice lunch. So make sure you get a table away from these large vents unless you don't mind the chill.

The food here is a lot of estate grown or locally grown which is awesome. I had the bison burger with pimento cheese spread. Way too much cheese spread, which made it almost impossible to eat without a fork and knife. French Fries were my favorite -- absolutely delicious. Service was not rated as excellent because when they brought refill drinks, empty glasses were left on the table. Also, when I asked for another napkin it took a long time to get one (and I really needed due to messy burger). It was a nice start to our afternoon at Biltmore Estate. Wish that they would add some small bites on their menu, as these are really dinner sized meals, and I would love burger bits, or more luncheon sized meals as an option.

Our family group of 5 made reservations for the Stable Cafe for 1.5 hours before our house tour time. The timing was perfect, as we were seated at our table on time, served in an efficient but unrushed manner, and left with time to explore the Stable shops before the house tour began. We admired the variety of menu items with different ingredients, preparations, and sides from the usual fare at other casual restaurants. Each of us enjoyed the food immensely. The stable atmosphere is fun and authentic. We recommend this restaurant. We will definitely make eating there a part of our next visit to the Biltmore House.

Everything on the menu could best be described as comfort food taken up a notch. My collard greens were the best I ever had. So good we got the recipe. My husbands hand made sausages were delicious. We did have an issue with a bus boy dropping a tray of dishes on me. To their credit they cleaned it up and paid my dry cleaning bill and comped the meal. I have to say that they handled much better than many restaurants would have and therefore we will be back Had a waiter I think we've had before. Excellent service

We choose The Stable due to its convenient location and proximity to the Biltmore Estate. We had been to The Stable previously for lunch and I would recommend this restaurant for lunch, but not for dinner. Our dinner experieince was not the best. The salad was great but the vegetable dish my friends' had was overcooked. My steak was grilled correctly but it was not the best cut of meat. My friend had to send her steak back, as it was tough. Spoon bread was tasteless. The server was great and very focused on us having a great experieince. She was personable and very interested in us. She represented the Biltmore well. Our dessert was just okay .... The Stable was very convenient and again was better for lunch than for New Year's Eve dinner.
