Sra. Martinez closed its doors and this was their last night. I unfortunately had never been before so it was my first and last time visiting, but I had heard nothing but rave reviews and had to give it a go. The meal was nothing short of spectacular. From the Foie Gras Croquettes to the Squid-In-Ink Risotto, Sweetbreads Slider, and everything in between. We mistakenly believed some of the dishes were to be served as shared tapas platters, so it was a bit off-putting to see smaller portions presented. We got over that and just ordered more off the menu. All in all it was a great experience.

We had a truly great time. The food and drink were outstanding. It's sad to see this wonderful creation of Michelle Bernstein disappear from the south Florida dining scene due to the greed of the landlord(s) who own the building.

Maybe I am a bit spoiled but I was not that impressed. Our group got the chef tasting menu and it fell short in taste and amount of food for the price. I visited Azul when Michelle Bernstein still was the chef and it was my first out of this world culinary experience. I was expecting to be blown away by this place but I found nothing original really. I had tasted most items at other places around midtown and they tasted better and cost less. There was only 2 wow factors for me. I loved the fire in the Yucatan cocktail! Amazing! Also really liked the hot churros with cayenne spiked chocolate dipping sauce. Some at my table didn't like the spiciness of the chocolate but I really enjoyed it and ended the lackluster meal on a high note.

Ive eaten here a few times before and was always very pleased. This time the quality of the food has gone down and our waiter served all of our tapas withi minutes and without spacing out the food. The experience was veryrushed and our waiter was very nervous and came to out table every few secondswhich was uncomfortable and made us feel very rushed. Not what it used to be but rumor has it it's closing down in a month will re-open as a new concept.

This was my fourth time dining here, but this time, we had a google offer for a chef's tasting and sometimes restaurants aren't thrilled when you should up with your coupon. The staff couldn't have been more gracious and the meal was great. They brought course after course of interesting and delicious offerings. We were stuffed even before they brought the amazing desserts.

Fabulous dinner in Miami's design district. This was my introduction to Miami and my first real meal in the city. Loved it. Egg Yolk Carpaccio, Squid Ink Risotto, Peruvian Ceviche, Croquetas and yummy dessert. Great wine, too. Our waiter was the perfect blend of informative, passionate, and personable. You can tell this restaurant trains its staff to high standards. If you love good food, but dislike the stuffiness that sometimes accompanies it, this is your spot. The surrounding neighborhood was the best I saw in the entire city, as well. Sra. Martinez is a must do.

Some good tastes and some misses. Server very helpful with menu and beverages. Check adds up quickly. Ka ching, ka ching! As far as Michelle Bernstein's restaurants are concerned; Michey's still A-1. Better for a group rather than a couple. Can try more things. At the end of the day (nite), not a keeper.

Our waiter was very nice and this review does not reflect on him. It reflects on management. When I made the reservation I was told something that was retracted when I showed up-the manager instead of accepting their mistake made us sound like liars and drove one of our guests out. He has no management or people skills. Unfortunately this reflects very poorly on the restaurant. The food was decent but not worth the harrassment. If we had not had already paid vouchers we would have all walked out.

Decent service, great food and menu in terms of breath of selections. Location was also fun in Design District. Seating inside a little cramped on tables for 2...I'd go with a foursome to avoid getting seated next to kitchen. Note that while OpenTable said there was no seating at 8PM, there were plenty of tables outside.

Michelle Bernstein is the best chef in Florida. Also. a kind, down to earth and beautiful person inside and out. We will return. The Tapas were magnificent as expected after being a frequent patron of Mishy's for many years. Only complaint is with the manager who argued far too long over a dispute regarding a Gooogle offer. When making the reservation we were told only one person use and the others could order as they wish. It wasn't clear so we reconfirmed it. This was quite an unpleasant way to begin a birthday celebration. Customer service in South Florida is notorious, however this would not have happened at Mishy's.

The ambiance and service were by far the best two things about this place. The food was good but the bill quickly adds up. Also, if you are a vegetarian or are very specific with your food choices, this place may not be a good choice. The menu is a bit limited and very meat-friendly. Despite these setbacks, however, it's worth trying for a special occasion.

We got the chefs tasting menu (we had half price vouchers through google offers) and were not very impressed. I hoped the tasting menu would provide little snippets of the best the chef has to offer. But just 2 dishes (of the 14) were what i'd consider to be really tasty (scallops, and ox-tail pasta), 2 were good (fried artichoke, and chili sweetcorn) and the rest was distinctly average. Without the coupons the bill would have been well over $200, which i feel is wildly overpriced.

The restaurant is beautiful. It looks to be on an old post office building from the 20s or something, very picturesque. It has been refit to accommodate this restaurant, which is contemporary styling but still very comfortable. It is definitely a big city small bistro feel on the inside. Servers were knowledgeable, even the back-waiter guy was so friendly and helped us to have a great time. Take your time and stretch the courses out or you will get full quick. This is elegant gourmet Spanish style tapas, with a modern American twist. No complaints, but the place wasn't cheap for tapas. Well done. Try it out before an event in the city.

Absolutely Outstanding! An amazing evening of delicious food. We tried the tasting menu and could not decide which dish we liked best. Even some of the more unusual items that one of us was hesitant about trying, turned out to be delicious. We would highly recommend this option to try a range of the menu choices. Our server was knowledgable about the food and able to describe each part of the meal as we went along. We also got to meet the owner/chef during the evening and she shared the inspiration for some of the dishes. The building is a lovely renovated building with a comfortable but elegant atmosphere and a lovely outside area is available too. The design district is easy to access from Miami Beach or downtown. Whatever you do DO NOT get the Cheese course add on to the Tasting menu. We couldn't breathe after and even though it was yummy (blue cheese was amazing) it wasn't worth the price or the lack of breathing ability it caused. The regular tasting menu is more than enough. The bacon wrapped blue cheese dates were heaven with layers of different tastes the more you chew, the Korean short ribs paired deliciously with the slaw concoction it was served with, and the vegetables were roasted to perfection. I could have done without the first course of heirloom tomato salad and the tomato spread bruschetta that luckily our server added an anchiovy to or else would have been boring. Everything else was cooked to perfection and delicious.

Delicious brunch in a wonderfully designed old post office. Our only beef was our waiter who so rushed telling about the menu, specials and what he didn't have that we could barely take it in. Martínez is not even close to michys. We order the same tasty menú for $90 Per person. I have never eaten so many vegetables as i ate that day From the 15 courses that we got 10 were vegetables done in a different sauce. Before the last 4 plates we told the waiter that we wanted more protein plates (meat, or Chicken or seafood). Guess what we received 3 more plates of vegetables and one last plate of lamb that was decent. We payed $315 for eating vegetables!!!!! The WORST experience i have Ever had in any restaurant in Miami. I Will never go back.

We were a little apprehensive to leave Key Biscayne for dinner one evening, but so glad we did! My friends from the Ritz Tennis Clinic gave me some restaurant ideas for us one day and they said the Design District has lots of new restaurants that are all great. Thank you to Willie our waiter for guiding us through the menu options and not letting us over order. You have to have the bacon wrapped dates, artichoke hearts, paella and snapper. The desserts are great too....had the churros and dark chocolate dip and the french toast with rum sauce. White Sangria was great and had a good selection for wines by the glass. Make sure to get good directions and a map. We missed the turn! Valet $3. Worth the trip!!!!
