Loved it when it was in LoHi and small but it has gotten better since in grew up! If you appreciate creative food that is presented amazingly then this is Mecca in Denver. For my taste this is one of Denver's most creative restaurants and certainly its best. The service is equally outstanding.

This may be the best place in Denver. At a minimum, it is at least tied with those at the top of that list such as Mizuna, Luca d'Italia, etc. Not to be missed. Very interesting, sizable but manageable, and different wine list(e.g. 3 Slovenian whites and an Austrian red among many others).

This is hands down the best restaurant in Denver. We are there a fortnight ago with a group of guests, with everyone having a different menu item. For all, it was the best restaurant we've eaten at in several months. The food is high quality, professionally served and about as clever as food preparation can get. We have scheduled return visits and look forward to enjoying our way through their delightful menu.

This is simply the best dining experience we have had in Denver. From the simplicity of the menu (and the vintage cookbook it is clipped to) to exquisite food options prepared with care, detail, and artistry, to the lively ambiance and airy renovation of the Colorado Saddlery building, we were so pleased and impressed. Our server, Ali, was amazing in her individualized attention not just to all of our party but to the nearby tables, as well. (Picking up a dropped spoon from the next table while taking our orders without missing a beat was so neatly done as to be memorable after and appreciated in the moment.) And the cheese cart was a perfect finishing touch. We have already made multiple recommendations. Thank you for a fantastic evening!

This restaurant seems to "out-clever" itself, trying to combine so many textures, flavours, and cooking methods in one dish. It would do much better to focus on "clean cuisine" rather than trying to show all it's culinary skills in one dish. I couldn't really identify any of the flavours I was eating, because there was only a bite or two of each thing. Food was served "luke cold" so it was unclear what temperature they were aiming for. While one could recognize the creativity, it mostly missed. This restaurant would last a month, tops, in Vancouver.

Absolutely superb. Every detail from the unusual and amazing cocktails to the presentation and sensual food. Unique twists on what you think you are getting, such as their rendition of tomato caprese. Beautifully fresh (from their garden) piled atop a creamy buttermilk sauce. Tiny pansy's artfully completed the dish. I could go on but you get the idea. Don't miss this place.

If the entrees where as tasty as the appetizers, the food would have been outstanding. The masses of attendant help meant that you never were wanting but it created a void between you and the primary waiter. Wonderful combination of food to create very special flavors. We used to frequent the Bean when it was in LoHi and have missed it so. The new Squeaky Beans food was good, not great!, and the portions small. My meal was half fat, which I was told is 'part' of the meal and meant to be eaten(yuck) and my husbands meal, while very good was very tiny... there are sooo many great restaurants that we've had a amazing meals at in Denver, and this meal was a total flop. We will not be returning unless they resume brunch and maybe we'll try again???

Squeaky Bean was my favorite restaurant in the Highlands. So happy to see that it is back in action downtown and has stayed true to the original. The new restaurant is beautiful. Chef Max is one of the best. Fresh ingredients, creative dishes and fantastic flavor. I can't help but want one of everything on the menu. The staff and service are outstanding. Can't wait until they start serving brunch again. Thanks so much, Squeaky Bean, for a top-notch culinary experience in Denver.

We had a fabulous time at the new SB. Our only complaint was the portion size of the fish dish (Kona Kampachi). The actual amount of fish was three tiny pieces, each at most about the size of a tablespoon, served in a melon broth with a few tiny pieces of fruit. This would hardly qualify as an appetizer! In looking around at other entree plates, most seemed to have larger portions. My crab dish was perfectly sized. However, the quality and presentation of the food was outstanding, and the new venue is beautiful! We will return, but we will ask questions about the size of the serving, since this was a disappointment.

  • Too little space to describe it
    OpenTable Diner Since 2010

My husband is an omnivore (with an emphasis on meat) and I'm a vegetarian, so it can be tricky to find a place that we both really love. The Squeaky Bean is that place. We went for our anniversary, and couldn't have loved it more. The service is impeccable-- attentive but unobtrusive. The food is spectacular-- inventive but not weird, and uniformly delicious. I had the "Summer Squash Head to Tail;" I also LOVED the radish dish, with many kinds of radishes, brown bread and butter. My husband had the "fried chicken" which is so very much more than that... chicken mousse, wrapped in a chicken thigh, wrapped in a breast and deep-fried. There's not nearly enough space here to properly describe the experience of a meal at the Squeaky Bean.

Squeaky Bean intrigues and delights! The restaurant interior is understated but that is not indication of the food. The menu is uniquely laid out, providing options to satisfy your level of hunger. Presentation is beautiful! You will find new flavors in each area of your dish to tantalize and wow you. And do not forget to explore their cocktails as well as their desserts to make your entire meal from start to finish extraordinary. As a gluten-free individual, I prefer indications on the menu if the item is GF or can be GF. It is my opinion the Bean should adjust their menu slightly to give GF folks the tour without having to wait for the waiter/waitress.
