We got married on the Seattle Big Wheel two years ago and afterwards went to Spur for our wedding feast. It was amazeballs. We returned on our anniversary one year later and er, it wasn't quite the phenomenal experience our first visit was. It was with hope and apprehension that we returned again. But, fear not! The Spur has returned to its awesomeness. Everything we tried on the menu was a little bite of heaven. Deliciousness! The server was the perfect level of service but not hovering or pushy. Drinks were lovely, too. Go! You will add it to your list of Seattle Favorites.

I've lived in Belltown/downtown for a few years and hadn't checked out this place. Finally went with a couple fellow foodies. It was very tasty, definitely speedy though. Small portions, big price. But for a special occasion, it's good. They do have a burger/fries that is entree size and priced for those not wanting to spend too much. You really won't find a a glass of wine cocktail for under $12. The little salmon crostini is what they're know for and it was a tasty bite. They have a few staples (like the burger) but the thrust of their menu is seasonal. The pork cheeks from the seasonal menu were fantastic.

My boyfriend brought me here for a date and we loved every minute of it. Although the price was higher then we usually pay I will be gladly returning for another culinary adventure. I plan on making this part of one of my regular stops when showing off seattle to my out of state friends and family. Can't recommend this place enough if you love food and are open to trying something new. Cool atmosphere as well.

.....was at the bar. The place was packed. One bartender for the night, and he manages to make so many memorable cocktails while flying around in an area smaller than a broom closet, and keeping up a running conversation with us. Wow, can he make a great cocktail. (Well, five cocktails between the two of us but who's counting?) The food was excellent, each small course coming out one at a time. The mergues sausage was stellar, as were the pork belly sliders. Everything was great and we'll be back - hoping once again to snag two barstools at the bar of The Magician.

I had the chance to have a dinner with a friend here recently. I was a bit put off initially at what I perceived to be a longer than normal wait for service after getting seated, but thankfully that was really the only negative in an extremely positive night. It is mostly small plate sharables, with essentially works of art on a plate. The sockeye salmon crostini's were a perfect way to get started-do NOT pass up on these delectable morsels. Fabulous food, wine and cocktails. The price can shoot up pretty high if you aren't careful, but it's well worth it. One of the best meals I have had in Seattle.

For those old enough to remember the Painted Table in Seattle...take that experience, make it less formal, toss in some good music-played at a reasonable volume, and similarly adventitious food and you have the spur. Fantastic food. Great service. A new favorite.

The food here was very interesting. The drinks and food were all well-conceived and executed flawlessly. You could see where the chefs wanted to go with the dishes in terms of both flavor and texture. Is it on the top tier of restaurants worthy of Michelin stars? No. You come away impressed but not inspired. But they have ambition and that should be acknowledged. I would go again to this place.

Pork cheeks were perfectly done, and the smoked salmon crostini was one of the best things I've ever tasted, definitely the best salmon. It's served as almost an inch-square cube, but it's so tender it almost falls apart to the bite.

My wife and I were visiting Seattle and we decided to try "Spur" based on the recommendation of a "ChefSteps" blog. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, interesting and the service was professional and friendly. To get the full value of the experience, I would recommend going with one of the set taster menus. I am not a foodie but I know when I like food. Spur did an excellent job mixing flavors that you would never think would meld well. The slow roasted pork cheeks were other worldly and the cheddar gnudi was a great way to start. The server was excellent and gave really good suggestions for food choices. We can not wait to go back!

This is the second time that I have been to Spur. It has not disappointed either time. I don't have any specific menu suggestions because everything that we tasted was SO GOOD. Presentation, variety, taste all top shelf. Will definitely go back. This is not a criticism, just a word to those that haven't been there before, if you order the way that it's recommended - multiple small plates - be prepared for a fairly hefty bill.

We live in Belltown, and have eaten or drunk at Spur a number of times. Needless to say, it is one of our favorites when we want something really, really special in the small plates category. Not tapas, not ethnic, just exquisite small crafted plates - a foodies delight. And the bartenders are some of the best in the city. Highly recommended, but take some cash.

I was in Seattle for only a few days, and had a long list of restaurants I wanted to eat at. But after going to Spur the first night, I went right back the very next evening to try more stuff. Service was smart and friendly, no attitude at all. Food is as good as I've had ANYWHERE - SF, NYC, Boston - fresh, creative, flavorful and satisfying. Salmon Crostini is a must have - one for everyone. You'll want more than that, but allow yourself to order more things to try instead. You can't go wrong! And my vote for the best cocktail around is the Bentley... but the bartender is a true craftsman and knows his stuff so the flavors really work well together (I tried other drinks my friends had). You will love this place.

We ate dinner there several nights ago after reading the rave reviews. The salad and the halibut were both very well made but both were spoiled by a very citrus vinaigrette and a very citrus sauce. I know that they were probably being seasonal for the spring but the flavors were too unbalanced for my taste (which, admittedly, runs more to savory than sweet). Also, for a restaurant with prices on the high end, the service was very slow (I believe they may have been short-staffed as they were lovely and kind and accommodating when they were to be found).

I have been to spur multiple times, and somehow they manage to raise the bar each visit, be it from their modernistic approach to northwest cuisine, the uniqueness of they're desserts, or the caliber of cook in they're kitchen. As a chef I understand what it takes to achieve the level of detail they have embodied. Would recommend to anyone who really wants to understand the level of craft in cooking that can attain nearly artistic measure!

We came here with a group of 4 to try something different. We had a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is small and intimate, but this adds to its charm. The wait staff was attentive, knowledgeable but not overbearing. The food was what you would want from an innovative gastro-pub; from the unique presentation to the interesting flavor combinations. I would classify it as a "fun" dinner experience. The prices were very affordable - so this encouraged us to order and share many plates on the menu. Also liked that you could order and share smaller plates or order a larger entree for yourself - in case you don't like the whole sharing thing. We will be back with other friends. Thank you Spur.
