Made 7:30 reservations on OpenTable. Actually shocked that there were any times available since I booked the reservation the night before. Well, they shocked ME!! Arrived at the designated time only to be told that we should wait at the bar as a few tables for 4 were just finishing up. Okay. No problem. 40 minutes later my husband goes back to the Maitre D to be told " just a few more minutes, someone is paying their bill". Only when they saw he was getting angry did they magically pull a table out of their hat!! REALLY??? Why accept reservations when people have to wait 45 minutes anyway?? Barring that, the waitstaff service was very good and the food was delicious. I would come back again but I won't accept being told to wait at the bar. You accepted a reservation ... HONOR IT!!

Girls night out to celebrate birthdays. Food was amazing but most of all the waiter was the best. I think his name was matt. The ambiance was vibrant and i would definitely go back again. I also went for lunch and that too was delicious. I would recommend this italian tapas restaurant. Much better than other tapas eateries.

I made the reservation in advance online. This was convenient. I also got a call back to confire the reservation. I was there for a business luncheon. We ordered a lot of food maybe 8 different dishes. 3 of them were left in the kitchen. When our waitress came back way way after we finished eating, we told her we were missing some of the dishes. By this time, we were ready to go. We told her we were done and we didn't want them. She still brought it out and we had to pay for it. One of the dishes does not reheat well (charred octopus). Everyone was very friendly. However if the restaurant failed to bring out the orders in a reasonable time frame, we really should not have been charged or at least offer a cup of coffee.

We had a wonderful dinner here and will definitely return. I came with my best friend and husband and sampled almost everything on the special menu. We all loved the small plates concept and we still had enough to share tastes. The fresh mozzarella salad was our favorite, but all the dishes were cooked perfectly and the service was impeccable. Our server, Amanda was helpful with all of our wine and food selections and had thorough knowledge of all menu items. Management checked in and other servers helped out. What a great team, I can't say enough about them. We missed the seasonal truffle menu this time but we will look forward to visiting again. Give this new spot a try!

I have put so many people on to Spuntino after the first time I went the first week they opened. Since then I always suggest Spuntino as the place to go when grabbing drinks with friends. It's a lot nice than your average bar, and trust me, I'm from Floral Park, home of bar row on Long Island. I have no problem driving an extra 10 minutes on a weeknight for the great food and wines at Spuntino. Also, a must at Spuntino, get the chocolate chip zeppoles. They are AMAZING!!

We arrived about an hour before our reservation so that we could have a drink at the bar first. We had a drink, then decided to have meatballs, a very nice appetizer. At that point, we were enjoying ourselves and remained at the bar to eat dinner. We ordered the salmon and the octopus, both excellently prepared. We shared a dessert and left having had a pleasant dining experience and not feeling stuffed.

Spacious open dining room bustled, yet small semicircular booth could be suitable for an intimate dining experience. Went with my adult daughter, but would go back with my boyfriend to enjoy the atmosphere. For our first visit during Restaurant week we each chose 5 plates from 15 offerings, a great way to explore 10 items from the menu. Hangar steak and truffle french fries were outstanding, as were the desserts, the apple crostata with vanilla gelato and ciambelle with hazelnut dipping sauce. Also enjoyed the mushroom ragu bruschetta and citrus vinaigrette that accompanied the baby arugula salad. Arancini was just ok. The braised pork belly was not what I expected perhaps an acquired taste (not mine).

Started with 2 different bruschettas, cinghiale & funghi. The cinghiale: braised boar, chianti jelly & brussel sprouts, absolutely delicious, they did not skimp on the boar. The funghi is was tasty too. Next up funghi pizza, this tasted great but the truffle oil didn't help the aroma. Also had the charred octopus, served with farro, olives & cherry tomatoes. The octupus was cooked to perfection & once again they actually put a decent amount of octopus on the plate. Sadly we were full from 2 slices of bruscetta, a small pizza & a plate of octopus, this warrants another trip to Spuntino. The owner, I think, came over a few times to check on the service. Surprisingly the restaurant wasn't that full considering it was LI Restaurant Week.

This worked out well for our large group that included two children. The tapas style provided portion sizes that were great for sharing and the pizza was great for the kids. Service by Justin was great and he kept it moving along nicely. Parking can be somewhat of an issue since the restaurant is located in a busy mall, but you'll find a space eventually.

Executive Chef Ryan Keough continues to amaze diners with imaginative dishes reflecting the change of seasons while still celebrating the best tapas offerings from the summer season. Our meal started with a reasonably priced Napa Chardonnay and charcuterie board featuring prosciutto, speck, and a home-made mozzarella, all fresh and flavorful. We enjoyed the Autumn Salad and Caprese Salad next with the later showing hints of the fall flavors mentioned earlier with a roasted tomato preparation. Tapas plates of stuffed meatballs, hangar steak, and pasta were bursting with flavor - all of which set the table for the "Joey Bag of Doughnuts" dessert which has grown into a popular staple.

I've been eyeing this place since it's in a local strip mall that I frequent & once I stepped in to check it out & grab amen, I knew I had to come one night with my hubby! On a unplanned weeknight we decided to skip cooking & head there. We sat the bar, especially because it was a "game" night & there were plenty of TV's to view it! The menu is all Tapas- italian food, & a perfect way to try a variety of foods. The wine list is extensive & the bartenders were attentive, knowledgeable & friendly! This will definitely be a regular for us!

I'd only previously been to this restaurant for dinner, so I was eager to try it for lunch. They have additional menu items (sandwiches) for lunch and we found ourselves ordering entirely too much. I was not impressed by the dry chicken milanese or the one-note gnocchi, but the polenta fries and the stuffed meatball made up for those. I will certainly go again and refine what of their menu I love, and what I will skip.

This is a fun place, nice and relaxed, and the food is creative and delicious. The service needs some work. The kitchen sends out the small plates, but not all at once for the table. So we got our fish and fries pretty much together (a bit of a lag though), and then the brussel sprouts came out when we were practically finished with the meal. Waiting for a glass of wine is a long wait. Waiting for a refill is excruciating. They're busy, and the atmosphere is lively and pleasant. But they really need to get their act together a bit better.

I find it difficult to eat well and enjoy on Long Island. Sorry but for myself and my husband this is always true. Either the food is just so-so. Service stinks. Crowds are well - crowded. Just not enough of good but Spuntino's is beyond that. They are GREAT! However I don't wish this place to get really popular because I want to be able to drop in and enjoy myself. I have been there atleast 3 times and each time just keeps getting better and better. From the wonderful and knowledgeable bartender to every server and even the hostesses - all are professional and lovely to deal with. The food is the real star. Just go there. Good dining experience, minus the wait. We had a reservation but were not sat for 45 mins past it. They told us that they were just cleaning off the table when we showed up. The manger was apologetic and gave us a free round at the bar. Besides that everything else was great, unfortunately they were digging themselves out of a hole from the begining.

We were excited to try out a new restaurant but were disappointed. The portions were tiny and the prices high. I ordered 3 plates with the knowledge it was a tapas style menu. Walked out hungry and it cost 90. per couple! I could have received a generous portion of food for that price with leftovers at another neighborhood restaurant....will not return. By the way, each person only had one alcoholic beverage.

In fact, from start to finish the staff are engaged and committed to excellent customer service. The wine and food are outstanding. We have been four times and have enjoyed the tapas sized plates to include spaghetti carbonara, arancini, octopus, prosciutto and mozzarella bruschetta, caramelized onion and goat cheese bruschetta. The salumi and cheeses are to die for. Quality ingredients, expertly prepared. They also make their own mozzarella! It is simple..just go

Within several minutes of our sitting down, no fewer than 5 people came over individually to greet us and ask how we found out about the our waiter again for almost 1/2 hour, and we didn't get any food until significantly after that. Nevertheless, our wait was well rewarded. The small plates are just enough, and all of them are creative and delicious. We'll definitely go back, and we hope by then their wait staff will have their act a little better coordinated.
