We were very happy with the meal and service at Spruce Farm and Fish. It feels fresh and we felt like we weren't in Boulder. The service was great and the food was delicious! We are in our forties and felt like the youngest people in there, but as more people start to learn about the new place, I think the demographic will be more varied! We would highly recommend checking it out.

All our entries were just excellent The fish special (Mahi Mahi) this should be on the menu all the time was a treasure. The pork Loin, Filet and Crab Cake were worth the visit Great selection of wines. Wonderful atmosphere for that special dining occasion, but priced right for a sponentaneous dinner

We had a great dinner at Spruce Farm and Fish. There was 3 of us dining and we all enjoyed our meals but by far the most outstanding part was the whole snapper. The presentation was fabulous and the preparation leads to a crispy outside and tender inside that was to die for! One of our group had the ahi small plate and that was delicious as well. The grilled peach was also a big hit. All and all a very lovely meal.

We had a 6:15pm reservation for dinner, and there was lots of room in the main restaurant, we were seated in the enclosed patio at the front of the hotel.the place was full by 7:30 We order an calamari appetizer to share and I ordered the Bison burger, my mum, the chicken. There was a pretty long wait for the appetizer, when it arrived it wasn't that hot and even for deep fried, it was rock hard and dry suggesting it was previously cooked and re-heated. The Bison burger and chicken dishes recovered what would have been otherwise mediocre experience. Both were moist and tasty and served soon enough after the appetizer to make that forgotten. I'm sure the patio isn't all that bad on a great evening today wasn't in the rain.

The food was spectacular! I love the decor as well. The service was a bit rough. We ordered a bottle of wine to have with dinner and we were more than half way done with entrees before it arrived. My friends had long finished their cocktails and were a bit thirsty. Our server had a negative attitude about how things were going which made it worse. She was pleasant to us and everything else went smoothly. The timing of the food was great and the oysters in corn meal were something I will definitely crave and come back for. Well done!

Our dinner at Spruce was very unfortunate, made even worse by the fact that we invited a couple up from Denver to eat with us. First of all, there was no bread for the tables. Then, the seafood special three of us ordered was sold out--and we were a 7 p.m. reservation. We had to substitute one of only two other seafood dishes--odd in a supposed seafood restaurant. To add to the disappointment, my dish was not very tasty. When we tried to order the special peach dessert, it too was sold out. We split the bill between our two credit cards, and I discovered the next day that my card had been charged twice and theirs, not at all. Our friends reimbursed me. I called the manager about this but she has never returned my call.

Beginning with their signature Old Fashioned cocktail, the meal only got better. Appetizers, soup, and entree were all cooked to perfection. Our server explained each dish with knowledge and was attentive throughout the meal. The noise level was perfect. We could have a conversation and hear each other without having to raise our voices.

It seems that things didn't changed that much at least with the menu. The update on the interior turned out quite nice and cozy. We had a party of six for brunch and 3 out of six sent their eggs back. Who wants to eat hard boiled eggs on their Benedict? Steak salad special looked good but we had to look for the steak. Service wasn't well timed and the waiter seemed annoyed. Overall it was quite mediocre.

At the time we visited, the restaurant had been open less than a week. We ordered the grilled palisade peach, which was excellent, house made rosemary garlic toast - delicious, and the stuffed piquillo peppers, which had great potential, but were unfortunately, not hot enough, so the texture was off the mark. We all ordered the striped bass. The fish was cooked perfectly and the accompaniments were unusual and very good. We would definitely order it again. We had the special peach crisp with strawberry ice cream and it was terrific. All in all they've done a nice job updating the space, it's airy and comfortable, the service was very good and the food was interesting and great as well. We would definitely go back.

We were anxiously awaiting a new foodie place, and based on the review in the paper, we thought we had found one. But alas, just ho-hum. Did get there in time for happy hour pricing so tried a few things. The portions were small and the mussels didn't come with any bread to soak up the delicious broth, that was an extra charge for the cheesy garlic bread. Would have been nice to have plain bread, since the broth already had garlic. Burger was fair and the chicken with the udon looked like it came straight from the banquet table for the wedding upstairs. The Garden linquini was good, but I added some protein and ordered shrimp which were just three medium sized and a bit over cooked. Just another hotel restaurant.

I'm reviewing this a year after the fact so the details are fuzzy, but my wife and I absolutely love Q's. The food is always amazing, and ever changing. The wine and cocktails are top notch, the ambiance is right up there with the best Colorado has to offer, and almost without fail the service is also excellent. All of this does not come without a price however, so it is advisable to look for specials like restaurant week, graduation week, special price fix menus, etc. Get on thier email list.

The waitress was getting annoyed that we hit it off, and weren't ordering quickly. She came back, and asked us every 5-10 minutes, instead of looking for subtle cues whether we were ready or not. The place was so dead, it was a little creepy...although it was very cold that evening (and Monday) Food was good - bartender was super friendly

Hi--A nice meal, but the service was a little less than attentive. We felt like the server had little experience and did not know how to gauge when it was appropriate to interrupt a table conversation or not. We ended up waiting long periods of time to order, to get our wine or drink orders, to hear specials etc ..... Likewise, the manager (or sommelier) stopped by our table but did not introduce himself or ask about our meal. Just made a comment about our wine selection.

The service was very slow and the kitchen seemed to be asleep. We waited almost an hour for salads to be served. The food was excellent but on a Monday night, it seemed as if they didn't want to let their customers go. It took over two hours for dinner, which seems excessive to me.

Always very good to excellent, from appetizers to dessert, and not too expensive for what you get. Three courses for $35 at dinner can be a great deal, given some of the choices and the high quality of everything. The three-course tasting menu for $15 at lunch is a true bargain, and consistently interesting and excellent. The wine list is extensive, and you can order half-glasses at half-price, so a custom flight is easily available. Of four wines I tried, the Taz 2004 Pinot Noir was outstanding. So is their specialty cocktail, Q's Cooler. My only complaint would be wait-service that is not as polished or attentive to detail as the cuisine itself. Q's would be a four-star restaurant with a more seasoned wait-staff (compare Frasca).

My husband and I and our friends have eaten brunch at Q's several times over the past few years. We have always enjoyed the experience, but this last time there was a change. Very poor service: an overburdened, inexperienced wait person had to be reminded several times to bring the things we ordered. The appetizer did not come first, it came with the brunch entrees. For the most part the food was still very good, though there seemed to be an ingredient missing from the omelette of the day. The jam jars on every table we could see were almost empty. Ours had very little jam to begin with and when we asked for more the bus person just took another almost empty jar off a neighboring table. Q's is slipping; share this review with them.
