My dinner with my daughter was wonderful-our server, patiently waited for us to stop talking and read the menu so we could order-he accomodated my daughter's request for a particular wine, and in general was excellent at serving us-we both commented on the magnificent tin ceiling that has been retained, and the colorful artwork displayed. Our meals were excellent, topped off with the dessert platter-we had a great evening-

We don't get downtown too often so we are selective in our dining locations. Springs Orleans was genuinely service oriented, working with us on our reservation change and accommodating a last minute addition of our grandson to the reservation. The piano player made the ambience feel more warm and welcomed. The food was very delicious and the portions were quite adequate (we left with doggie bags). We summed it up as a very enjoyable evening.

I had hoped to be one of the ones who had a better experience despite reviews being mixed. It was my wife's birthday but that did not mean anything except to the hostess who was the only person that acknowledged it. Our table was right by the server station between the booths and it was the most unromantic place. Food and service was mediocre. The blackened catfish was good but the voodoo rice was pasty and inedible. The website stated it had live music Fridays and Saturdays, and there wasn't any.

We tried Springs Orleans for the first time and gave the food mixed reviews. The food probably would have tasted better if we hadn't paid so much for it -- it was too expensive for the value received. They should have paid more attention to taste and less to presentation which was not as trendy as they may have wished and in one case was just comical; it was good for a laugh! We tried 5 entrees. 2 were considered "very good". In 2 other meals the diners were disappointed, and the last was in part good. We did enjoy the desserts. Our young teen ordered a half meal and would have walked away hungry if it weren't for the dessert. I thought having this option was nice though. On this week night we had no problem conversing in the diner.

Thanks Molly for great service and recommendations! This was our first time here. We were seated immediately. We order cocktails based on waitress recommendation. Good job! We had the blackened catfish and shrimp. It was to die for and the voodoo rice out of this world! We topped it off with banana pudding. OMG, just like what grandma use to make! We will be going back. Thanks for excellent service, nice size portions, and a scrumptious meal!

In reading reviews,, the trend seemed to be that food was good but service was severely lacking at Spring Orleans. Jenn greeted me promptly and offered suggestions for dinner choices. She brought delicious chips and dip which she said were made in-house daily. She offered bread with my crawfish and shrimp etouffee'. Jenn also stopped back by my table and offered a glass of wine as happy hour was about to end. It was a very nice dining experience made complete by outstanding service. Thank you, Jenn!!

First time at Springs Orleans but will definitely be back. Unfortunately it was a breezy evening so we couldn't sit outside, but we really enjoyed our cozy booth for two. The service may have been too good as our appetizer came out in less than 5 minutes and our dinner arrived within 5 minutes of completing the appetizer. This was are only complaint since we weren't here for a power lunch. The food was absolutely amazing. I am a Colorado native, so my Cajun palette is not too experienced but the spices, sauces and seafood were all incredible. We will definitely be back.

The food was good. The restaurant was too noisy for our taste but it was buzzing. The service was the sore point. Our waitress was very friendly but slow. We waited quite a long time for her to come and take our order. The restaurant had a complimentary dish of chips and dip that she did not bring until our appetizers had already arrived. I noticed two tables near us had their chips immediately when they sat down. Understand this was just one waitress. Others seemed to be working harder. Overall I would probably not return to Springs Orleans.

This was our second trip to Springs Orleans with similar results. Waiter, John Michael, seemed to have better things to do. Ran out of water. Still no bread with etoufee or other pasta dishes. Food was good but over priced. Needs bread on the table or at least along side to sop up sauce. Piano too loud if you have to sit near it. Room needs some sound work as it is too loud when full of people. I think if a table doesn't order a bunch of drinks the wait staff basically ignores it. Could be a much better experience.

I loved the étouffée sauce. We had the shrimp version & it was rich and creamy with just the right back burn. The Cajun Caesar was exactly what you would expect, crisp romaine with a nicely spiced dressing. The banana pudding was terrific. In fact, maybe the best I've had in Colorado.

For a great dinner out, this is the restaurant to choose. We always have superb food with good service and the ambience is outstanding. It is dimmed but not dark and the decor gives the feel of New Orleans in a very tasteful manner. We chose two appetizers that were excellent, the blue lump crab cake and blackened popcorn shrimp. A third appetizer ordered could not compare to the other two, the disco fries. I would not order them again. Two entrees that were real standouts were the crawfish etouffee with steamed rice and the blackened Mahi-Mahi with voodoo rice and an add on of crab meat hollandaise. True delicious decadence!! The desserts we ordered and all loved were banana pudding and bread pudding. Enjoy!

The food was very good and the drinks were well made. However, our server acted like he had somewhere he'd rather be, even though the restaurant was not particularly busy. We're not difficult customers - we know what we want, no special orders, etc., but he made us feel like we were bothering him by even placing our order.

I've visited 3 times with groups for dinner; each time hoping for a tasty experience and each time disappointed. Breakfast is exceptional, however. The food is what should define a restaurant, and it really lacks in quality due to overall blandness and is highly priced ($20-35/ entree yet small sizes don't make it a value).

It seemed that our evening went down hill from the moment we were seated, and it all stemmed from an un-attentive wait staff. We had wave our waiter over while he chatted with the hostess. The table next to us had another wait person and they experienced the same thing. In fact they got up and walked out. The floor manager didn't seem to have a clue, and I never saw him interact with any tables. As for the food I would call it average, no complaints concerning the food quality or presentation.

My mother-in-law wanted to take us some place "nice" for dinner. There are lots of choices in Colorado Springs, but not all of them offer notable gluten-free options, a kids' menu, and a great wine list. Everyone had fun dressing up and the food was wonderful . . . except for the 2 mini-burgers on the kids' menu. Those were burned and overcooked. When we let our server know, we replaced it with a burger from the regular menu. Sadly, it took a little too long for the replacement burger, which looked fabulous, but my son enjoyed eating from everyone else's plates. Thankfully, they only charged us for the kids' burger, which one of us took home and enjoyed the next day!

We've been to eat dinner twice. Both times the food was excellent and indulgent. But, we had a different server each time and BOTH times, the service was poor. Our server didn't smile one time and she took quite a long time to get our order. She was also serving the table next to us and NOT ONCE as she passed us several times acknowledge if we needed anything. I guess we'll have to start eating the food as take-out so we can enjoy the food without the grumpy waiters.

We showed up 15 minutes early for our reservations, but were still seated immediately, the service was great, great sense of timing, they really came over to us just when we needed, and were never overbearing about how good the food was, were genuinely nice. The food was excellent, I ordered the blackened popcorn chicken for an appetizer while my wife had calamari, and then at dinner she ordered the grilled salmon while I had the cowboy rib-eye. Best steak I have ever had. Also the chicken was very tasty, almost thought about making that y meal and ordering more of it. It was quite windy while we were there, so we ate indoors, but they have a great outdoor area with hanging lights that would be fantastic once the sun went down.

Love this restaurant! The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The restaurant is not too bright inside or too dark and the decor is nice to look at while dining. The service has always been very prompt and friendly. When we were there a man was playing the piano during dinner. They also have a seating area in the alley between the hotel and restaurant that is nicely decorated, a great place to hang out on a warm evening and chat. The food is delicious, I have never been disappointed. For appetizers I would recommend the blue lump crab cakes. Entrees I have had that are excellent include shrimp etouffee with steamed rice, blackened shrimp and blackened catfish. All the desserts have been excellent, my favorite is the banana pudding.

This is our go-to place for a high quality meal. Abita Purple Haze on tap! This time the crawfish po' boy was outstanding, but the apple matchstick salad was sub-par, needing more apple and better subdivided lettuce. On inquiry, we were told that a new employee was involved, a lame excuse, because I would have expected proper guidance and oversight. We still had an excellent meal and will willingly return.

The food was OK - just OK, not outstanding in any way. Our waiter, I think Jason was his name, was one of the best we've ever had anywhere - very nice, sincere, efficient, and truly helpful without being obsequious. From greeting us at the door through the whole meal, he was wonderful. The atmosphere is fine, with the best touch being the keyboardist playing lovely jazz in the background at a very comfortable volume level for conversation.

We took our Moms for Mother's Day brunch and had never been to Springs Orleans. When seated, our server didn't arrive for several minutes. Then when we all ordered coffee/water it took so long to get, we went to the brunch ourselves. Our server never explained to us it was only a brunch w/no menu ordering OR what came with the brunch. (are drinks included?) Once our coffee did arrive, it was cold. I went to the server station to re-fill our cups. As for the brunch....food was great, especially shrimp. Turkey was a little over done, dry. Eggs were good. For the price of the event, I will probably try somewhere else next year. When we arrived, the main room was cold, (10am) server had to turn up heat. : (
