  • "Poor service, overpriced food in small portions, and generally unimpressive overall experiance."

  • "By far the best in the city. I would recommend anyone looking to make a memorable night to experience what what Perry has established to come to Springs Orleans."

  • "Had another wonderful meal here. I ordered a shrimp and grits dish that was superb. The rest of my party ordered other things and each was excellent. Service was awesome and friendly."

  • "This was a nice new find. The food was very good and we will return. It was very busy and extremely loud. Which is fine but if taking elderly they may not enjoy the noise level. Our server disappeared for quite a period of time so took a long time (20 minutes) to get our check. But we were with friends so we had more time to visit:) I will say they had specific servers that brought our food out to us and that was nice as we were all served at the same time. We will go back."

  • "This was the first time I've visited, but will not be my last. This is definatly an establishment that I will keep on my "Repeat" list. From the greeting at the door, the service at the bar, and the personal attention by our table server, the experience was very good. The food was wonderful, I just wish I could have tried more of it - next time."

  • "Great server we had, attentive, fun and helpful w/the selections. Great old building, nicely decorated. Booth made it easier to hear in the big open space. Crab cake and Applewood salad both outstanding. Po'boys generous and delicious, if not exactly like NOLA's. Gumbo hit the spot. Beignets a must. We always go when in the Springs."

  • "We are always looking for something interesting here in the Springs...and this fit the bill. Cajun is a family favorite...and this fit the bill. Nice for a special occasion."

  • "Food was very good, service seemed a bit off (slow and unattentive) this day."
    Dined on 2/17/2014
  • "I had the fried shrimp, and my wife, the grilled. Both were good. Service was very fast. The waiter seemed to have too many tables to cover so he wasn't all that attentive. The one negative was the music. A bit loud and always felt dissonant. I like New Orleans jazz, generally, but I didn't hear any good music the night we were there. Sometimes it actually sounded like we were hearing music from two different sources."

  • "The restaurant itself is hip, energetic, great decor...our meal was to our liking...I had the crawfish etouffe and my husband had the pan seared mahi-mahi. We shared the vanilla bean cheesecake, which was our favorite food of the evening. While our meal was good, one thing that was lacking was any form of bread served with our meal. Considering I had an etouffe, which had a delicious gravy, it would have been nice to be able to use some bread to continue to enjoy the gravy. Also, given my husband's choice of fish, having some kind of bread to accompany his meal would have also been nice. The lack of bread served with our meals is my reason for only giving this restaurant 3 stars, otherwise, it would have been a 4."

  • "the food was excellent and the service was very good, everything was fresh and well coordinated. We sat up stairs for the first time and it was more private, our only suggestion would be to improve the furnishings and/or decor to help incorporate the lower atmosphere to the second level; bourbon street type lights, similar tables and chairs? Always the highlight of our week or day when we get to dine at Springs Orleans and this was no exception. Thank you!!"

  • "What can I say....This is my favorite restaurant in Colorado Springs. I grew up in the south and this place definitely reminds me of home. The owner expects a lot from his staff and they go out of their way in order to ensure your dining experience is an awesome one. I could've taken my wife anywhere and this was fun, convenient and right on the money! Thanks Springs Orleans!"

  • "This used to be one of our favourite restaurants but the food has suffered over the last few months, we finally asked if there was any changes to the chef and as expected the executive chef had in fact changed, and although the menu remained the same, the quality and taste of the food has suffered. It has gone from an amazing restaurant to an alright restaurant, but one that isn't worth the money they are charging for a meal."

  • "We ordered a bottle of wine which took nearly 15 minutes to arrive. The waiter then took our dinner order which appeared quickly, too quickly, as we were not even finished with a half glass of wine. About have way into dinner our waiter came by to see if we wanted to look at the dessert menu! My wife ordered one of the signature Cajun dishes which she felt was only of average quality. I ordered the mahi-mahi which the waiter said was excellent. My blackened fish was breadded and DRIPPING with oil. The side of rice was drenched in oil. The waiter came back to deliver the check but no offer of dessert. The evening was lack luster. Oh, I do need to mention that Valentine's Day might be a bit late to still have the Christmas decorations up!"

  • "While, the food was great our server didn't really seem like we were important because we were younger then most and I felt like she didn't think we would tip well even though we always tip 15% at least. Our host was going to take us to a spot but just sat us super close to the door and said "this will make it easy for me." Somebody dropped our food while going to put it in a to go box, and then said she'd remake it and gave us so little of what we had it was ridiculous. We had probably 1/3 of a plate and got a snack size for a 2 year old back.... But the other people around us would take our plates, fill our drinks super promptly. I don't like how I felt like I didn't belong and I had to be older or richer. It was great food though."

  • "The first time we ate here last summer we were impressed. We had the cat fish and some pasta (which have too much gorgonzola but overall was nicely seasoned). Sadly on a recent repeat visit we were disappointed. The ambience is still good as was the friendly and helpful staff. . It was the food that was disappointing and that's really what we went for. The fried chicken was dry and overcooked, the red beans and rice were past their prime as was the corn bread, and the po-boy sandwich was not very appealing. The food wasn't tasty let alone spicy. We overheard neighboring diners complaining to each other about their food too. We do like the place and are now thinking about it as a place to drop in for a drink rather than a place to eat."

  • "I loved the food I ordered, but what I would say about this restaurant is it's not exactly designed to be a breakfast / brunch location, definitely more of a dinner / bar experience. Which is fine! I just went here for breakfast, and it just didn't exactly fit. The coffee was good, though, and they had TVs which were nice so my mom and I could watch the basketball game. Also, the beignets were delicious! Definitely more than expected there."

  • "The problem for the advertisement of cajun food; it is somewhat lacking in the same. The red beans & rice was rather dreadful; the etouffe was not quite as bad, but it did not have a cajun or orleans taste or zip or pop; thus it is had to state if a good effort was attempted. The best part was the blacked gator & drinks."

  • "I was greatly disappointed by the seating, the food and a wine mistake. We have yet to eat there and this was the third and last time in my opinion, at a table that wasn't right behind the hostess stand even when there were plenty of other tables available. The shrimp were over salted and that's saying something since I am from the Gulf Coast originally. The crabmeat hollandaise was not lump crabmeat and it was more of an au gratin without the cheese than a hollandaise. The begniets were under done. When I ordered a glass of wine, I even held up the menu and pointed to it and I got and paid for a much more expensive glass of wine. All in all just very disappointing."

  • "I had high hopes for Springs Orleans...but the food fell quite short, both in taste and quantity. While I appreciate what the restaurant is trying to do, Cajun and Creole cuisine is not meant to be haute cuisine, but rather soul food. The quality of the food we ordered (I had the shrimp and grits, the other two diners with me had the shrimp etoufee) did not match the price on the menu. When I have to add additional seasonings (in this case hot sauce) to give my food flavor, well, that just does not justify an $18 price for 5 shrimp and some grits. I've made the dish myself, and much better. The calamari and the dessert sampler were the only things that impressed."

  • "We've enjoyed Springs Orleans a lot in the past, but this visit was not up to their usual standard. Slow service, despite not being very busy, warm white wine, and the food wasn't as good. The shrimp and grits recipe had been changed to an almost vegetable-stew style, and my "blackened" fish was just a bland pan-saute."

  • "I rarely find the need or desire to review a restaurant because honestly I’m not usually impressed. I travel internationally for work and generally have the opportunity to dine in major Western European cities. I’m accustom to what constitutes good food and service. Springs Orleans offers great meals and service. The staff is friendly and prompt, the restaurant is spotless with great décor, and the food is outstanding. Despite being on a date, I devoured by gumbo like a slob because I could barely control myself. My date loved her pasta with truffle oil. We also decided to order cocktails with dinner, those were outstanding as well. This is a great place to bring a date; they will be impressed by the décor, food, and service."

  • "Springs Orleans was absolutely delicious! My husband and I enjoyed dinner and breakfast following New Year's Eve and definitely plan on returning. Having spent time in New Orleans, they've hit the nail on the head with respect to the food, tunes and ambience."

  • "Maybe this would be a good place for late night dining. My family and I went for dinner (youngest in my family is 23) and were seated amongst kids and crying babies. No jazz pianist to drown out the kids... Delicious food, albeit high priced, so it had better be good!! Large screen TVs around the bar area diminish the upscale atmosphere. Service was somewhat slow. No point in having waiters if I'm the one doing the waiting. There is a lot of potential here, but it is not quite developed yet. (This was my second visit -- first time was later in the evening, and better)"

  • "The menu reads great; but the service is slow and food was overcooked. In my opinion the food is over priced for the quality."

  • "I'm born and raised in Louisiana, so my expectations are always high when it comes to Creole/Cajun food. It's not the best food I've had, but it's not the worst either. The atmosphere is really enjoyable though, which to me always makes the food taste better. The prices are a little overboard, but I know that it's probably not an easy thing getting a hold of decently fresh seafood out here in Colorado. The real bad thing was the service that we experienced the past night out. I'm not sure what the deal was, but right away the service was poor. When you waitress doesn't introduce herself it's kind of hard to communicate the rest of the night. So we had no idea what her name was. Long story short... not talkative, she mumble, never smiled."

  • "The soups and salads are excellent, along with seafood, traditional Cajun, and great steaks. The entertainment is by Thomas Dawson on the piano. He plays for the Commodores world wide as a keyboardist. His sounds are are Jazzy, with perfect melody's of old favorites and his blend of some great Christmas classics this time of year. He is a first class entertainer...... the best I have seen in many cities. He visits you in the crowd on breaks and is the rock of this place! A definite must do for singles or couples alike. My favorite spot in town."

  • "Very pricey. Service was poor. Ordered a bottle of wine and it took 15 minutes before the server came back to tell us they didn't have the wine we ordered. When we ordered another, the food came before the wine. Alos had to ask for the bread that we were told comes with the meal.."
