  • "We've been to eat dinner twice. Both times the food was excellent and indulgent. But, we had a different server each time and BOTH times, the service was poor. Our server didn't smile one time and she took quite a long time to get our order. She was also serving the table next to us and NOT ONCE as she passed us several times acknowledge if we needed anything. I guess we'll have to start eating the food as take-out so we can enjoy the food without the grumpy waiters."

  • "dining with my family, we had very good food and excellent service. Terrific attention to the food needs of my various family members - vegetarian, peanut allergic. Great vibe, good menu - wonderful experience!"

  • "Started of with The Refresher. Loved the Grilled Gator Bites. Tuna and Mahi Mahi were AMAZING. Bread pudding and cafe olé great finisher. on top of that the service was excellent. Perfect anniversary celebration."

  • "Calamari and gator bites were excellent. We all had creole dishes. They were spicy and delicious! We practically licked the plates clean. The pecan tart was the perfect dessert. Service providers were attentive and friendly. We had a great time and look forward to going again and trying other menu options."

  • "We had Sunday brunch here. The food was average and sometimes we had to wait for an extended period for a buffet item to be replaced if it was out but the environment/ambience and service was good. It was well priced for the flavor; if you just want a decent priced Sunday buffet I would recommend it."

  • "We showed up 15 minutes early for our reservations, but were still seated immediately, the service was great, great sense of timing, they really came over to us just when we needed, and were never overbearing about how good the food was, were genuinely nice. The food was excellent, I ordered the blackened popcorn chicken for an appetizer while my wife had calamari, and then at dinner she ordered the grilled salmon while I had the cowboy rib-eye. Best steak I have ever had. Also the chicken was very tasty, almost thought about making that y meal and ordering more of it. It was quite windy while we were there, so we ate indoors, but they have a great outdoor area with hanging lights that would be fantastic once the sun went down."

  • "The food was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The server was attentive and the beignets were fantastic as usual."

  • "Love this restaurant! The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The restaurant is not too bright inside or too dark and the decor is nice to look at while dining. The service has always been very prompt and friendly. When we were there a man was playing the piano during dinner. They also have a seating area in the alley between the hotel and restaurant that is nicely decorated, a great place to hang out on a warm evening and chat. The food is delicious, I have never been disappointed. For appetizers I would recommend the blue lump crab cakes. Entrees I have had that are excellent include shrimp etouffee with steamed rice, blackened shrimp and blackened catfish. All the desserts have been excellent, my favorite is the banana pudding."

  • "I have been to Springs Orleans three or four times now. The food is incredible. I always order the same thing because I enjoy it so much, but try my friends dishes as well. The piano player there is very good. I would recommend this place to everyone."

  • "This is our go-to place for a high quality meal. Abita Purple Haze on tap! This time the crawfish po' boy was outstanding, but the apple matchstick salad was sub-par, needing more apple and better subdivided lettuce. On inquiry, we were told that a new employee was involved, a lame excuse, because I would have expected proper guidance and oversight. We still had an excellent meal and will willingly return."

  • "We spent my son's 24th with family at 6:15pm and we were able to have a very nice dinner and conversation without having to shout at one another across the table. It was a Thursday evening and so the restaurant was not quite full of diners at that hour so that may explain the quiet volume of the other conversations!"

  • "Delicious! Especially enjoyed the appetizers of fried gator bites and blackened chicken! Our entrees were also good. Etouffee is a sure thing and I had Ahi Tuna atop grits and kale. Really good!"

  • "The food was OK - just OK, not outstanding in any way. Our waiter, I think Jason was his name, was one of the best we've ever had anywhere - very nice, sincere, efficient, and truly helpful without being obsequious. From greeting us at the door through the whole meal, he was wonderful. The atmosphere is fine, with the best touch being the keyboardist playing lovely jazz in the background at a very comfortable volume level for conversation. "

  • "The wait staff aren't paying attention to anyone, they forget to come back and check on customers. Not worth the cost of average food for expensive dining cost either."

  • "We were greeted at the door by a smiling and friendly staff member and immediately seated. The owner came by to talk with us and noticed that where we were mildly uncomfortable from being seated close to the door and asked our server to move us to a warmer spot. Our server was attentive, also friendly. Our drinks and food were served in a timely fashion and everything was delicious! My mother and I were both given a rose for Mother's Day as well! Nice touch. They have a lovely outdoor seating area where I have dined before, but wasn't able to this time as it was snowing.. : ( Also, don't leave without trying the beignets!! "

  • "We took our Moms for Mother's Day brunch and had never been to Springs Orleans. When seated, our server didn't arrive for several minutes. Then when we all ordered coffee/water it took so long to get, we went to the brunch ourselves. Our server never explained to us it was only a brunch w/no menu ordering OR what came with the brunch. (are drinks included?) Once our coffee did arrive, it was cold. I went to the server station to re-fill our cups. As for the brunch....food was great, especially shrimp. Turkey was a little over done, dry. Eggs were good. For the price of the event, I will probably try somewhere else next year. When we arrived, the main room was cold, (10am) server had to turn up heat. : ("

  • "This was our first visit to Springs Orleans and while I understand it was a very busy Easter Brunch the hostess staff seemed to be more than overwhelmed. We had reservations for three, arrived on time and still had to wait over 20 minutes. Then it took us approaching the hostess station again and asking about our table. They then had put two tables together for a five person reservation and we had to tell them again that we were only a three person reservation. Just seemed like a lot of confusion going on. "

  • "A very good brunch with fresh shrimp, gumbo made to order Omelotte, Mimosas(extra charge) , Prime Rib, Turkey. Desserts a little underwhelming. Otherwise, a very nice brunch!"

  • "We visited Springs Orleans for Easter Brunch. Upon arrival we were promptly seated at a table that was literally 3 feet from the omelette station. The line of diners passed within inches of our table. I called a waitress over and asked to be reseated. She offered the bar, the hotel lobby, or an outdoor table in a shaded and windy courtyard. I asked to speak to the manager and he found us an acceptable table. The actual buffet didn't improve our experience. The only items that were unique from your basic brunch fare were the gumbo and étouffée. Everything else was standard stuff (shrimp, prime rib, omelettes). Having been to both the Sunbird and Broadmoor I can say that Springs Orleans is nowhere near the same quality. "

  • "We had a party of four and loved the food and atmosphere. We arrived early and sat on the hotel side (west) and it was wonderful for enjoying drinks while waiting for our table. We had the gator bites and etoufee, which was outstanding. "

  • "This was a nice new find. The food was very good and we will return. It was very busy and extremely loud. Which is fine but if taking elderly they may not enjoy the noise level. Our server disappeared for quite a period of time so took a long time (20 minutes) to get our check. But we were with friends so we had more time to visit:) I will say they had specific servers that brought our food out to us and that was nice as we were all served at the same time. We will go back."

  • "This was the first time I've visited, but will not be my last. This is definatly an establishment that I will keep on my "Repeat" list. From the greeting at the door, the service at the bar, and the personal attention by our table server, the experience was very good. The food was wonderful, I just wish I could have tried more of it - next time."

  • "Great server we had, attentive, fun and helpful w/the selections. Great old building, nicely decorated. Booth made it easier to hear in the big open space. Crab cake and Applewood salad both outstanding. Po'boys generous and delicious, if not exactly like NOLA's. Gumbo hit the spot. Beignets a must. We always go when in the Springs."

  • "Food was very good, service seemed a bit off (slow and unattentive) this day."
    Dined on 2/17/2014
  • "I had the fried shrimp, and my wife, the grilled. Both were good. Service was very fast. The waiter seemed to have too many tables to cover so he wasn't all that attentive. The one negative was the music. A bit loud and always felt dissonant. I like New Orleans jazz, generally, but I didn't hear any good music the night we were there. Sometimes it actually sounded like we were hearing music from two different sources."
    Dined on 2/16/2014
  • "the food was excellent and the service was very good, everything was fresh and well coordinated. We sat up stairs for the first time and it was more private, our only suggestion would be to improve the furnishings and/or decor to help incorporate the lower atmosphere to the second level; bourbon street type lights, similar tables and chairs? Always the highlight of our week or day when we get to dine at Springs Orleans and this was no exception. Thank you!!"

  • "This used to be one of our favourite restaurants but the food has suffered over the last few months, we finally asked if there was any changes to the chef and as expected the executive chef had in fact changed, and although the menu remained the same, the quality and taste of the food has suffered. It has gone from an amazing restaurant to an alright restaurant, but one that isn't worth the money they are charging for a meal."
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "The restaurant itself is hip, energetic, great decor...our meal was to our liking...I had the crawfish etouffe and my husband had the pan seared mahi-mahi. We shared the vanilla bean cheesecake, which was our favorite food of the evening. While our meal was good, one thing that was lacking was any form of bread served with our meal. Considering I had an etouffe, which had a delicious gravy, it would have been nice to be able to use some bread to continue to enjoy the gravy. Also, given my husband's choice of fish, having some kind of bread to accompany his meal would have also been nice. The lack of bread served with our meals is my reason for only giving this restaurant 3 stars, otherwise, it would have been a 4."

  • "We ordered a bottle of wine which took nearly 15 minutes to arrive. The waiter then took our dinner order which appeared quickly, too quickly, as we were not even finished with a half glass of wine. About have way into dinner our waiter came by to see if we wanted to look at the dessert menu! My wife ordered one of the signature Cajun dishes which she felt was only of average quality. I ordered the mahi-mahi which the waiter said was excellent. My blackened fish was breadded and DRIPPING with oil. The side of rice was drenched in oil. The waiter came back to deliver the check but no offer of dessert. The evening was lack luster. Oh, I do need to mention that Valentine's Day might be a bit late to still have the Christmas decorations up!"

  • "What can I say....This is my favorite restaurant in Colorado Springs. I grew up in the south and this place definitely reminds me of home. The owner expects a lot from his staff and they go out of their way in order to ensure your dining experience is an awesome one. I could've taken my wife anywhere and this was fun, convenient and right on the money! Thanks Springs Orleans!"

  • "While, the food was great our server didn't really seem like we were important because we were younger then most and I felt like she didn't think we would tip well even though we always tip 15% at least. Our host was going to take us to a spot but just sat us super close to the door and said "this will make it easy for me." Somebody dropped our food while going to put it in a to go box, and then said she'd remake it and gave us so little of what we had it was ridiculous. We had probably 1/3 of a plate and got a snack size for a 2 year old back.... But the other people around us would take our plates, fill our drinks super promptly. I don't like how I felt like I didn't belong and I had to be older or richer. It was great food though."

  • "The first time we ate here last summer we were impressed. We had the cat fish and some pasta (which have too much gorgonzola but overall was nicely seasoned). Sadly on a recent repeat visit we were disappointed. The ambience is still good as was the friendly and helpful staff. . It was the food that was disappointing and that's really what we went for. The fried chicken was dry and overcooked, the red beans and rice were past their prime as was the corn bread, and the po-boy sandwich was not very appealing. The food wasn't tasty let alone spicy. We overheard neighboring diners complaining to each other about their food too. We do like the place and are now thinking about it as a place to drop in for a drink rather than a place to eat."

  • "The problem for the advertisement of cajun food; it is somewhat lacking in the same. The red beans & rice was rather dreadful; the etouffe was not quite as bad, but it did not have a cajun or orleans taste or zip or pop; thus it is had to state if a good effort was attempted. The best part was the blacked gator & drinks."

  • "I loved the food I ordered, but what I would say about this restaurant is it's not exactly designed to be a breakfast / brunch location, definitely more of a dinner / bar experience. Which is fine! I just went here for breakfast, and it just didn't exactly fit. The coffee was good, though, and they had TVs which were nice so my mom and I could watch the basketball game. Also, the beignets were delicious! Definitely more than expected there."
    Dined on 1/25/2014
  • "I was greatly disappointed by the seating, the food and a wine mistake. We have yet to eat there and this was the third and last time in my opinion, at a table that wasn't right behind the hostess stand even when there were plenty of other tables available. The shrimp were over salted and that's saying something since I am from the Gulf Coast originally. The crabmeat hollandaise was not lump crabmeat and it was more of an au gratin without the cheese than a hollandaise. The begniets were under done. When I ordered a glass of wine, I even held up the menu and pointed to it and I got and paid for a much more expensive glass of wine. All in all just very disappointing."
