SpindletopNo wine serviceI went to have dinner onTuesday night, took a friend for her birthday and we order a bottle of red wine (St. Supery elu), yes the wine was decanted as I requested, but it was not offered. So after the manager decanted the wine the server not once did he took the time to pour the wine into our glasses, which I did and kept refilling them throughout the night. After dinner we left the restaurant and went to have champagne along with dessert somewhere else. Overall the food was great and my friend enjoy the view. on what to eat. I had the salmon which was great and my Boyfriend at the Paella which he enjoyed.
The crab cakes were to die for. For me it was definitely worth it and we will definitely go again.

All the staff were incredibly friendly and and went the extra mile to accommodate the guests. What really sets Spindletop apart is the ambience. Great relaxed atmosphere with a good buzz (not noisy but not quiet), and fantastic views of the Houston area. We went because we were staying at the hotel and it was raining. It was wonderful! The food was great. My husband had the filet of beef and found it excellent and super tasty. I had the salmon which was very good and also some huge black beans that were out of this world! We got there in time to see the sun set, which didn't because it was cloudy but the view is beautiful. We saw the city of Houston light up! Definitely worth a visit. By the way, the manager came to our table a few times to check on us, the waiter, Will was very efficient and the busboy, Manuel was constantly checking our table for water, bread, or just chatting. The Sip and Spin, 3 course Wine pairing dinner was very delightful. The crab cake was one of the best that I've experienced. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the dessert was divine and each wine selection was a compliment to the food. As always, I request Ms. Lois as my server extraordinaire. She's the best. The manager is always a pleasure as well, as he often stops by to chat with the guest. Everyone from elevator to hostess proved very high class dining. We celebrated our wedding anaversary downtown making 4 downtown trips with-in a week. We were able to see Houston from a very unique view.

Our food was delicious as well as our view.
Every table has a great view and its neat to have a 360 degree view of Houston. Try to plan your visit when it will be a clear evening, around sunset. They give you generous portions and had vegetarian options for me. The vegetarian option is usually a pasta with vegetables. We would recommend the flat bread for an appetizer. I booked a reservation the day of my anniversary. This place was amazing an my wife loved it. The staff there were very friendly and the food was to die for.
