  • "My 1st time since the move to 76th. Fell in love with this restaurant when it was on 81st but they changed the menu and I'm not so in love any longer. Service was not that great and although my cavatelli was tasty it was a bit too salty. Like the new space but again, not all that bigger."

  • "We were not overwhelmed by this new incarnation of Spigolo, which used to be delicious before the old location closed down. While the food is okay, there are better Italian restaurants in the neighborhood at a much better price. They charged $15 for a martini ($11 for the gin and $4 for the "martini"), which I had ordered on the rocks. When I complained, they rolled the price back to $11, saying they thought it was straight up and they charge more for that because there is more gin. I guess I buy their explanation, but, given the very high prices for their food, we won't be going back."

Although they were jammed on a Friday night, somehow our wine glasses never got empty before they were refilled. With 10,000 good Italian restaurants on the Upper East Side, this is still my go-to place."

We had heard from our friends that they liked the food in this restaurant. We were expecting more than we found. The service was very good. The mood of this restaurant was flat.   • "my husband and i brought our 4 children (8 and under) to the city for the weekend. we were lucky enough to have someone watch them so that we could go to dinner. we ended up here because we heard the food was good. i read some reviews that stated that the service wad just okay at best. this was not at all the case. everyone was so kind and attentive. our server was really helpful and pointed us in the right direction for all the plates and wine that we ordered. I would go back again in a heartbeat!!"

  • "We live in the neighborhood, tried Spigolo once before, and enjoyed it. Took a friend for dinner who was running the NYC marathon the next day. Superb service - polite and attentive, with waitress working closely with support team providing dishes, cleaning up, etc. Three of us ordered, among other things, eggplant meatballs with zucchini - I want this again; 3 main dishes: gnocchi, fettuccine with mushroom, and vongole linguine. I had bites of each - all delicious. Ordered one more pasta dish which we split to carb up - spectators need pasta too! All pasta dishes we ordered were full sized and ample. I mention that because they also have half sized dishes, a good idea. We were three happy campers."
