Great SpotOur first time at Spiga. All four dishes were excellent. The eggplant parmesan was unusual--served in a puff pastry, but very tasty.

It's a fairly small restaurant, and the atmosphere is relatively formal (though not extremely so). Service is attentive but not intrusive. In fact, it may be the best chicken I have eaten in a restaurant! (including the legendary chicken at Hammersley's in the South End) Great caprese and caesar salads! Best bread pudding for dessert. The specials were $24 and $35 for a pasta special which was spinach ricotta fritters (delicious) and a mushroom risotto with some overcooked sliced steak on top. The wines by the glass start at $9 and there are few at that price. Too much for a neighborhood Italian place I think.
