Spice SymphonyUnexpected surpriseFrom the wonderful service to the incredibly delicious food, everything about this restaurant exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be coming back!!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMDeliciousWe really enjoyed the food at this small restaurant. The shrimp in garlic sauce was excellent, as was the vegetable korma and garlic naan. Service was a little spotty, but friendly. We would definitely recommend for the food experience.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat lunch dealInexpensive lunch menu with several good choices. Samosas were delicious, as were the paag paneer and the briani (sp?) dishes we had. The lamb was not quite fork-cuttable, as I have experienced in other Indian restaurants, but was quite good nonetheless. Extensive selection of wine by the glass, which was nice, and most were a reasonable $7-$8 per glass.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMFlavorful and Varied! This was a great evening at Spice Symphony. The menu has something for everyone. The menu had such a great mix that everyone's palate was satisfied. As a party of 12, I am pretty certain we ordered a meal from every part of the menu. My wife had the Salt & Pepper Prawns, they were some of the best she has ever had. We had a number of dishes off the Vegetarian section. These were incredibly flavorful, but not too rich. The Pepper Chicken was really incredible. It started with really strong flavors of roasted black pepper, but then the combination of fennel and coconut really played with your tastebuds. Great great meal. Our party of 12 made up about 1/3 to 1/2 of the total clientele during the visit.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFun and flavorful meal!Came here for my husband's birthday, and the team couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. They even baked a special chocolate cake on request! We were a party of eight and had a very fun time. Being British, we have high standards for our curries, and the food was very tasty!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMStaff was very friendly. HelpedStaff was very friendly. Helped us in a selection of a wine5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Indian I have had in NYCSpice Symphony is a true gem! The staff were all super friendly and attentive, and made everyone at the table feel very welcome in the restaurant. The food was unpretentious and full of nuanced flavors. It was by far the freshest and best tasting Indian food I have tried in the NYC area. I will definitely be back!!!5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Indian Food Ever! This is a must-do if you love Indian food. It's simply the best we have ever had. We will return on next visit to NYC.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMQuiet nightIt was an early quiet night on memorial day weekend and the "Chopped"-winning chef had taken the weekend off but whoever was in the kitchen was on top of his game because the food was great. Lamb Chops to start followed by Chicken Tikka Masala and Shrimp Moiley with Alle Belle for dessert. Everything was great. We look forward to going back soon.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was really fast,The service was really fast, very friendly and welcoming. We ordered chicken tikka masala, and it was delicious. The night I went to this restaurant for dinner, a famous chef from the TV show Chopped was cooking. It was really exciting to taste his spice symphony, since I always watch that show! I will definitely come back..5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome place! We went to Spice Symphony for my birthday and it is by far the best Indian restaurant I've been to in NYC! Food is really good, and staff is really friendly5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful service, tasty foodI came here with a group of 13 people, and we ate family-style - ordering a bunch of dishes. The indian dishes were very tasty, particularly the saag and the lamb biriyani. The servers were attentive and accommodating. Also, the small complimentary amuse bouche was a nice touch. Overall, a wonderful experience.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentIt was delicious and the service was excellent
I recomand you to try indian food5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Indian Food We Have Had in NYIn our 30+ years in the San Jose area, we have cultivated our favorite Indian restaurants, most recently Amber for meals and Chaat Paradise for street food. But in our time in New York over the past 4 years, we have not found Indian food in New York to match it.
Until now. The preparation of the food here is excellent. The biryani dishes rival the best of those we have had. The chicken tikka masala was well spiced and superior to other similar dishes we have had. The onion kulcha was well stuffed with onion and flavorful. We wish that the samosas--while well prepared--were a little larger and were served with tamarind sauce. Top it off with some Kingfishers and it was a great meal. We will be back.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were a party of 9 - hadWe were a party of 9 - had a great time. The food was excellent - distinctive flavors and interesting menu. Space is small and simple but food and service compensate.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMSpice Symphony was a hiddenSpice Symphony was a hidden gem that had tasty food (especially the mango chutney), nice atmosphere, friendly staff and all for a very reasonable price. Additionally, they were able to accommmodate for each and every request we made. This is my first review of a restaurant, but felt it was so good I had to take the time to give them a review. We only had 3 or 4 appetizers and two main dishes, but they were great! I liked the chana Masal and Dal! Enjoy.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAt least a half hour afterAt least a half hour after being seated before we received our drinks, but from there, everything was wonderful.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Indian food andExcellent Indian food and great staff. Definitely recommend!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was really good overall.Food was really good overall. The only thing that was weak was the salad we had. It would have been great except the avocado was not at all ripe. Other than that is was really spot on. They even apologized for the service being off as they were short staffed due it being Easter. Funny thing is the service was pretty good, perhaps my standards are just lower since I live in Brooklyn.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMA Special ExperienceI noted from earlier reviews that service was called out as a highlight and Spice Symphony didn't fail to exceed expectations. I brought 10 people and put ourselves in the hands of our host to serve what they will. What transpired was a feast of delicious varieties from the regions of India. I've eaten in the cities of Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Chennai; many of the dishes really brought me back. Some interesting Chinese influenced offerings as well. But what really stood out was the personal service offered throughout the meal. The staff bothered to learn our names, the chef came out to visit and mostly if felt like we were part of the family. I will definitely be back.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat serviceA large group of us enjoyed several well spiced Indian favorites, some with a modern twist. Staff was warm, welcoming and accommodating..we will be back3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAs an Indian who grew up inAs an Indian who grew up in India (south, north and east) I am familiar with various regional Indian cuisines. The quality of the food is what draws me back to Spice Symphony. (I wish they would call themselves Symphony Spice - a take on Symphony Space!!). I will certainly go back again (and again).1/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing! Go here!Amazing food and amazing service. Please go here, you will love it. Diverse menu and such a friendly and attentive staff with a great attention to detail and a desire to help you. Classy service that does not disappoint. Music choice was a little odd.1/15/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent service, good foodI loved this place. The waiters were so friendly and welcoming and they were always attentive. The food was also good and I appreciate all they did.1/3/2013 12:00:00 AMVery GoodVery good samosa, chicken tikka masala and aloo gobi. Onion nan too dry.12/22/2012 12:00:00 AM
