Spice 28Hidden gemHadn't heard about this place before but took a punt on it - exceed my highest expectations. Great food, ambiance, and a well stocked bar. The food was outstanding, fresh, flavorful and imaginative. The drinks were great and the setting is really lovely. Service was flawless. This is worth the visit and the parking challenge in the highly visited 13th & Chesnut corridor. Go for it - you wont' be sorry if you like really fine Asian/Thai food. We ordered chili oil wontons, drunken noodles, panang curry style with chicken, and hot sauce style (their favorite Sichuan style) with beef. My favorite was the latter which was infused with coriander and included scallions and what appeared to be leeks. I would recommend this venue highly for any small group or a date night. There was also an extensive cocktail and beer menu with imported Asian beers. I usually frown upon establishments who claim to be "fusion," but Spice 28 does it with finesse.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant was very attractiveThe restaurant was very attractive - modern with clean lines. Service was great. Food very good although presentation could have been a little better. Dessert very disappointing as they serve commercially prepared Italian items. This time I was there for lunch on Sat and they did not have the lunch menu. The dinner menu has more variety than the lunch menu and fewer traditional dishes.
