Excellent quality beef, seared perfectly, served at the exact proper temperature! We couldn't have asked for anything else. To top it off, Kira, our server, was wonderful. Very knowledgable about the menu, preparation, and wine list. She was very friendly without being obtrusive. Totally satisfied.

It was an absolutely wonderful evening at Spencer's. It was a perfect setting for a most memorable dining experience. Everything was incredibly delicious and our servers were superb. I'm still thinking about the delicately fried okra, the tasty garlic potatoes, and all of the decadent desserts - especially the mouth-watering beignets, the strawberry cheesecake, the refreshing sorbets, and the list goes on and on! Chef Brown is an executive chef extraordinaire and his talents are awesome!

We went on a Saturday night & we were 1 of only 3 or 4 other diners in the place. Needless to say, it was very quiet & we got very attentive service. We ended up eating at the bar and had a great conversation with the bartender, who sampled us his favorite wines. It was a great experience!

The prices on the menu matched perfectly with the entire dining experience except for the food. Ordered the Kansas City Bone In Ribeye and It was over done, dry and tough. Might be from their signature 1200 deg infrared broiler. I prefer a lower temp heat source with a long rest period. I think they cooked to temp and then hit it with their broiler. The sides were above average - enjoyed the lobster Mac n cheese. And the apps were just okay - didn't like the calamari as it was no better than what you get at a chain food restaurant - rubbery. Service and ambience were both top notch, but people spend money at nice restaurants for the food first and foremost. This place was just okay for me. Other guests at our table had mixed reviews.

for a supposedly high end steak house very disappointed, we ordered a bottle of white wine, the server came back and said the chef said it needed to chill another five minutes, when she brought the wine out asked me to feel the bottle, i said i would rather taste it. she opened it and it was still warm, since we were with a guest i just accepted it, not what i would expect from a place this high end, food was nothing special. we wont be going back

Spencer's pulled out all the stops for our joint Father's Day and Birthday fete. Staff were knowledgeable, efficient and timed our progression of courses well. We never felt rushed or wondering where they were.dinner menu. From plate presentation to taste and flavor, the food truly was superb. The special menu for the day had a variety of main course selections. Our takeaway? Spencer's rose to the top of our go-to favorites. While not in our neighborhood, it is well worth going out of our way for.

I have to take some responsibility for my less than stellar experience. First, I asked for my pork chop slightly less than medium. I noted that a little pink was OK. It was delivered and the center was cool. I like pink, but I like warm. So, I sent it back. (I hate doing that). It came back and was cooked perfectly. As I took about my third or fourth bite, I realized it was just a plain old chop and I THOUGHT it was supposed to come with pepper boursin and pancetta on top. The menu had that listed just beneath the chop, I think I missed some 'fine print' somewhere. By the time I realized my error, I opted to NOT mention it. Nonetheless, I think my meal would have been quite a bit tastier with the suggested topping.

This is a great restaurant, a bit on the pricey side but great. The food is always perfect and the service is impeccable. I would personally recommend the loaded hash browns, amazing. We've gone several times with groups of 10 and they have always put us in a private dining room which makes the experience all the more special. The only thing that is shocking about Spencer's is that it's never very busy and is easy to get a reservation which I wouldn't expect from such a great restaurant.

I have been a loyal customer for years, but my last dining experience was disappointing. The online dinner menu offered the eye of ribeye which I prefer because the regular ribeye is too big for me. The eye of ribeye was not on the restaurant menu. The manager basically told me I made a mistake and if the restaurant had falsely advertised, he would serve me the eye of ribeye. When I showed him in person that it was on the online menu, he still redirected me to order something else. I was not satisfied with the meal and felt like I could not say that after I was already "shut down". I did not feel like I was treated as a valued customer. I left feeling unsatisfied.

It has been about a year since we last visited. Spencer's has been THE place to go for steaks. They sear them beautifully on the outside and cook them perfectly on the inside. However, this time the searing was more a burning, and the cuts were not as flavorful or nicely textured as we are used to. Even a guest of ours, who had never been to the restaurant, was disappointed. I'm not sure if the general quality of the meat was down, or if the cook was off that night, but we were disappointed. On the bright side, our cocktails were delicious.

The main courses & sides were excellent! My compliments to the chef! The waitress was seldom around except when she needed to do something with us. We sat waiting long periods for ANYTHING! Her recommendation of the dessert, the pear item, OMG it was so sour. She said it was a favorite of hers and yet we could barely eat it. First desert in my life that I simply could not eat. I recommend removing it from the menu, forget the profit margin, I don't think the guests want to eat a vinegar soaked pear! Since service is just as important as the food, I would NOT recommend Spencer's to anyone. For the $200.00 we spent, we could have had a better time at The Grill or McCormick's.

1st Time at Lunch - service was quick and it was not as crowded as in the evening (It was a relief to be sure), and surprisingly quiet so that we could talk in the table Food was expected, it was good but not different than those at dinner (Some of the same caliber restaurant would experiment during lunch), price was high for the quality/portion it offered during lunch. I usually frequent Spencer's for business lunch meetings so can't comment on any dinner experience. I have ordered the Salmon entrée a couple of times and have noticed the portion size shrinking every time. The last time prompted me to let fellow dinners know. For $18.00, think twice of ordering a deck of card size salmon which comes on top of 1/2 inch cubes of vegetables and a green puree sauce to fill the plate. You know its a problem when all your fellow diners start sharing their meals with you since they feel sorry for you. Take the salmon off the menu if you want to skimp, Spencer.

Took my wife for 26 year wedding anniversary. I had been before and raved about it. Decided to go back for special dinner, but food was sub-par. The host sat us at a very non-romantic table along a big long seat that lined up other 2 tops. She put us between 2 other couples. Felt like you were having dinner with them. I asked to get a different table and they moved us. I ordered Shrimp Scampi but it was tasteless and nothing like what I has at previous visit, just 4 months prior. My wife's scallops were over cooked and the burnt sides were placed face down. She didn't want to complain. The Green Beans were terrible as they were soggy, chewy and cold. The bright light was the server. He took a while to get to us but took care of us.

This is a very good hotel restaurant. The restaurant is nice and quiet and serene - nice for a romantic meal. The prices are on the high side but the food did not disappoint. Our server was timely and attentive without being intrusive. Very close to my ideal dining experience - especially notable for a hotel restaurant. Just don't go here if dollars are tight, as all entrees are a la carte and so sides are essential. The wine list is pricey - the cheapest bottle of red was over $40, if I recall correctly.
