The cioppino was perfectly prepared with the right amount of tomato puree added to the fish broth and seafood. The hangar steak was also sensational. We also liked the new flatbread appetizer. Andrew made sure our martinis were well shaken with lots of ice shards. And to top it off, Doc Severinsen sat in the booth next to us! What a treat to visit with Doc! He did a trumpet camp that I attended back in 1971 in Odebolt, IA, when Gary Slechta organized the event for Sac County brass players! Thanks to the infrared broiler they use to flash cook the steak at high temperatures, the steaks really do retain the juice inside the steak rather than on the plate...... Outstanding .

Our waiter, Chris, was very good and attentive. We were with another couple, celebrating our anniversary and the manager came by right after we sat down, and told us he'd be sending over champagne for us and would also be bringing out a special dessert for the table (both were fantastic!)!
The bread was served warm and was delicious. All of us ordered steaks (different cuts) and the were all great...they were also served w/a chopped salad that was wonderful. The waiters and waitresses are knowledgeable and friendly. The "prime beef" items are exceptional. Well prepared just to your preference. In a market known for steaks, this is a stand out location.
As a sidenote, just across the street is Nosh, an excellent wine bar with jazz combos on certain nights. Our server Kris helped us remember how service should be, and is lacking in so many other establishments. My wifes filet was one of the best we've had and the house salad still has us mesmerized.
