We had only one issue and that was the couple in front of us who were extremely loud. Other then that, the evening was perfect. I think we may have found a reason to break that tradition and return to Spencer's for future venues! The brunch food was excellent, whether it be the crepe & omelette station, or the hot meal entrees of lamb, prime rib, maple glazed salmon, or whitefish in a beer batter. There was a special offering of mini-lobster tails for Mothers day and it was just perfect with its accompaniment of hollandaise sauce. As we walked around the premises, it was nice to see that they had a special section to accommodate larger families. Overall, I would recommend this venue to anyone in a heartbeat.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMHaving tried all brunchesHaving tried all brunches from the Landmark Group, Spencer's has to be the best one of them all - though I LOVE them ALL. What sets it apart is the made to order dishes that were wonderful delicious vignettes of what Spencer's has to offer without overwhelming the diner so that you can still try all the other brunch items laid out over three distinct sections. The crepes are my favourite brunch item and again setting themselves apart with red velvet crepes which were so decadent after an already decadent meal! The only minor disappointment was the lack of orientation to the different stations which the Mills both do very well when greeted and the server was a little slow on the uptake when we were seated so a star was dropped from service5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely but noisyThe food was good, and service was excellent. However, it was a very, very noisy environment....very difficult to have a conversation at your table. There was a guitar player at one corner...and he should not be blamed for the noise...he played well and was relatively subdued. That's what first interested us in booking this restaurant. However, there is so much more to love about Spencer's. First, the day we went was a bright sunny beautiful day and the sun beamed into the restaurant and shimmered over the water just outside the window. Right from the moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly welcoming staff from the hostess to the wait staff (a lovely young man from Chili). Second, the food was delicious. We all had sandwiches, lamb in a pita, tandoori chicken and a big juicy burger. I was only only one who had dessert, a magnificent structured s'mores cheesecake, a piece of art for the eyes and a decadent delight for the taste buds.
