Stick with the pastas- had the oxtail tagliatelle pasta and squid ink linguini pasta with clams/pancetta and both were excellent. yellowtail crudo not so good- didn't taste fresh, and uni on top was haphazardly placed.

The portions were not huge, but there were a lot of sides and stuff on the menu so maybe I could have done a better job ordering. Either way, the food we did get was awesome.

Wonderful!! I started with the English pea and fava bean soup which was simply an amazing marriage of flavors-springtime in a bowl!! For my entree I had the pork bolognese pappardelle and it was divine. All of the pastas are homemade and the bread is also delicious! Can't wait to return to try everything on the menu!!

Not quite worth going out of your way, but if you're in the neighborhood this is a lovely, quiet spot with lots of light coming through the windows, which also afford a nice view of the street scene. There's a $15 lunch prix fixe with an appetizer (over a dozen options) and entree of either sandwich or pasta. Our starters were great, the sandwiches less impressive -- I'll probably try a pasta the next time I'm there.

Do not bother!. The only dish that was good was the orecchiette with crab and shrimp (still needed a little salt). The travesty of the whole experience was the spagetti with tomato sauce (pomodoro ). I mean the sauce was so spiced up (hot pepper and garlic) they were trying to mask the EXTREME acidity in the tomato sauce. The chef should teach his staff a proper way to prepare sauce. For a plump "fresh" style sauce you need to fry/saute the sauce on very high heat for at least 5 to 10 min so you boil off the acid in the sauce (needs to be done especially when canned tomatoes are used, which these were). Now the other way for a more rich savory sauce you need to simmer the sauce for at least an hour or maybe two but no longer.

The menu sounds better than the food actually tastes. Seabass was very bland, scallops were overcooked, crispy eggplant had a bad smokey taste, fried oysters were good but very fried, so how could they be that bad. Much better places to eat in nyc and the west village.
