The atmosphere was very mellow, the food was unbelievable (cudos to the chef), and the music was wonderful. I'm a musician myself and thought the restaurant would get a bit loud when the band started, but that wasn't the case. You can't beat a leathery, slightly charred pizza crust. The freshly made mozzarella and a nice tangy tomato sauce were perfect. This was followed by the shell pasta with seafood which included lobster, shrimp, scallops and crab in a light, white sauce. I had the shortribs served with a corn risotto and perfectly cooked carrots. The meal was complete with a complimentary and delicious butterscotch pudding. It's better to bring your own good bottle and fork out the $20 corkage fee. You then know what you'll be drinking and can have more than one glass at a much cheaper price, too. Started with the Ahi Tower appetizer which was fantastic, my mother is not an adventurous person when it comes to food and this was only her 2nd time trying raw fish(sushi grade) and she loved it. Entrees were rack of lamb and the horseradish halibut. Both were very good, my lamb was cooked perfectly (medium rare) as requested. Sides were good but nothing spectacular. Finished the evening with a white chocolate cheesecake with fresh berries accompanied with a blackberry and guava sauce. Guava sauce was a bit tart for me but the cheesecake was amazing.
Wait staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful providing opinions.
