Spaggi'sMemorable ExperienceService was excellent - waitress was friendly, accommodating and served with a smile. The tomato soup was excellent and the accompanying mushroom scone was incredible, The South American chicken pasta with champaign sauce was one of the best i've had. My colleagues raved about their dishes ... perhaps we were all too hungry, but it was definitely a fine dining experience with a lot of class and moderately priced. Every course we ordered showed an attention to flavor and presentation detail that was surprising and delightful. The staff was young but well prepared and attentive. We cannot wait to go back and try other offerings from the very well rounded menu. It is absolutely amazing that this restraunt is tucked away in a strip mall by a car wash and a massage parlor. I had Sand Dabs in a lemon caper sauce and my husband had tasty veal medallions in a white wine sauce. Service was exceptional-- our bottle of white wine on ice and the waitress overheard a comment that my husband's birthday was the next day and brought him a delicious piece of red velvet cake. We walked in the door the place looked amazing and the service was really amazing also. We were seated in less than a minute and they had our reserved table ready for us. I liked how the waiter brought us the menus so fast and he also asked if we wanted to hear the specials. The service was so attentive throughout our whole dinner and the ambiance was romantic. It is such a great restaurant and the food was so delicious. The most memorable and most thoughtful touch was the fact that they knew we were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary and they brought us a slice of carrot cake with a candle. All food was good to excellent; beef Wellington, veal, and desserts won especially high praise. Impressive wine list, but restaurant could do with a few microbrews on the beer list, which is limited IIRC to Guinness, Peroni, Shock Top, and Budweiser/Coors/Miller (I don't recall exactly which, but none of them belong on the menu at a restaurant of this caliber.) Service was a bit inattentive at times when it came to refilling glasses, etc., but it was late on a weekday, so perhaps not too surprising.
