  • ". We were seated for about 20 minutes before anyone was assigned to our table - we kept getting water refiled but no one came by to tell us about specials or ask what we wanted. Since no one had come by I flagged a random waiter who found our server. Once our server was identified the service was not slow. I noticed that the next table got an amuse buche which we did not get - perhaps they were special or our server was not clued in to that. We had the two house recommended dishes osso bucco and the italian pot roast. Both were very hearty and good. The two others in our party, college students, had vegetarian pasta dishes that they enjoyed. Wines are sold at a fairly high mark up for California restaurants."

  • "We love Spaggi's. It is our go to place for a quiet dinner or special occasion. We have not had a bad meal at Spaggi's. The chef and staff are always serving up good food and presented beautifully. We had Drew as our server, he is the best. Very attentive and aware of the customers needs and request."

  • "MAYBE IMPROVE THE VIEW OUTSIDE BY BLOCKING IT....IT'S ONLY A PARKING LOT. THE NIGHT WE WERE THERE A YOUNG GROUP OF LOUD AND MISCHEIVIOUS GROUP OF BOYS WERE IN THE FRONT OF THE RESTAURANT FOR FAR TOO LONG, BEING LOUD AND RUDE WITH VULGUR LANGUAGE."

  • "Quality has lessened over the last year. What was once a nice treat to drive an hour to get to is now up to debate. They catered our wedding so they have a special place in our heart with my wife and I. Flavors are still there but quality and presentation is now lacking. Waiting staff were good though my wife had to ask repeatedly to one server for Splenda which he still forget until she called him out. I don't know what's going on but Chef Henry's crew needs a pep talk or he needs to clean house."

  • "We decided to revisit Spaggi's after a long interval. We first dined with friends right after their opening, and didn't really return until now. What a delightful surprise. The food was fantastic, the service was great and it was a wonderful dining experience. There were so many specials it was a hard decision, but the Sea Bass was a great choice. The salad was also wonderful. We are looking forward to returning, soon."

  • "Great food! Beef Wellington was sooo tender, vegetables (crisp & sweet), desert, amazing! I had one issue........& that was entering the restaurant. Wasn't sure if we were in the right place. There wasn't a Hostess and we're new to the area! But overall, it was fantastic!!!!!! Oh yeah, my husband enjoyed his African fish dish was very flavorful! Sorry I don't remember the exact name of dish!"

  • "We are never disappointed when we dine at Spaggi's. The menu selections are consistently tempting, and the food preparation and service are always delightful. We were sorry that the half bottle of wine we originally chose was not available, but the alternative was just fine. We save Spaggi's for very special occasions, as it tends to be a bit too pricey for our budget. But, that just makes it all the more enjoyable when we do dine there."

  • "Spaggi,s chef Henry does a great job. Inside the restaurant the ambience is up scale and great. Outside in the patio where my wife and I had valentines dinner, the ambience is terrible. You are seated right among the cars in the parking lot with a lot of distractions and noise. We frequent Spaggi,s on special occasions, because of the great food, service and "ambience" inside the restaurant."

The short wait for the main course was bridged with a tasting plate of the soups of the day, both of which were delicious. Dessert (chocolate cake with raspberry filling) was yummy. The refined decor belies the restaurant's strip mall location. We were in the area for a convention, but if we lived closer we would be eating there again."

  • "This restaurant is at a level far beyond its location in both quality of food and service. Flavor profiles are representative of a well trained cook staff and chef. Cost-wise one is most certainly getting what one pays for but more so because the wait staff enables a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Wine selection is prime and varied. Romantic in terms of ambiance. Only issue location, location, location - in a strip center near Lowes. If this place were in an old-town setting like Claremont or Pasadena reservation would be impossible given so many folks would be frequent & recurring guests. But on Foothill Blvd in a semi-commercial area well - location permits us to enjoy its guilty pleasure. A rare jewel. A must try."

  • "Despite being in an otherwise unremarkable commercial area, Spaggi's interior could be at a nice hotel. The only suggestion would be to tone down the slightly glaring overhead lights. The specials included half a dozen fresh fish dishes, an usually high number. I had the South African sea bass that was cooked perfectly. The accompanying roasted potatoes and mixed veggies were good, but could have used a touch more seasoning. Her pasta dish, Penoe Dalle Vigne Di Filippi - veggies in a white wine cream sauce - was excellent."

  • "This place tries to do too much, & it fails. Too many entrees, at least 4 "specials" (which the waiter rattles off at breakneck speed, so impossible to recall the details---why not print out so diner can read & consider), All 20+ menu regular entrees seem to have been prepped in advance, flash frozen, & nuked; nice sauces cover up tasteless meat, chicken or fish. I recommend they take a sharp knife to the menu; 2 specials every night, & (changing quarterly) only 10 regular entrees (4 pasta, 3 chicken, 3 carne), prepare as much "fresh" as possible. wine list is a disaster! Mediocre wines-there are lots of great alternatives which could be selected. Focus on quality, not just as many choices as possible, and "they will come.""

  • "Oso Buco served over a bed of buttered noodles with vegetables in a brown sauce was excellent. Portion size was enough for a second lunch meal at home the next day, which made the price of $33 a plate more reasonable. It was a Tuesday nite so the restaurant was very quiet with only three tables working at 6:45. Service was excellent with waiters very attentive. The wine selections are ample and there were many other dishes on the menu that looked very appealing. The chef is known for his sauces and reductions which add great taste to many dishes that would otherwise might be plain."

Seriously, there was nothing exciting about the area, just some old cheap looking parking lot with some mom and pop shops then bang, an Italian restaurant actually tailored for foodies. Chef Henry and his special daily menu. This is not one of those cheap restaurants just making the same food day after day, chef Henry will actually come out to greet you and accommodate your request. oh wow. Food was good, service is superb, everything pretty fancy, even the menu price, not cheap! definitely not something you would expect at that kind of location!"

  • "We dined at Spaggi's on Sunday 11/4/13. We went for cocktails and the Beef Wellington, especially the Beef Wellington. No liquor based cocktails and no Beef Wellington. Spaggi's does not have a full bar; reasonable. We really wanted the Beef Wellington; disappointed. We stayed for dinner and had the Chicken Marsala which was ok and the Lobster ravioli. The ravioli is made onsite we were told, but did not seem to be made that day. Also, it was covered in too much sauce. The restaurant itself is clean and nicely decorated. Service was good from our waiter Jason."

We started with the Wedge Salad, it was the best we have had yet, even the resturants that starting prices of $50.00 and up. I had veal, with all veggies, my husband had the Sand Dabs, all of the food was very good, and we like the servers who are all very professional, and well trained."

  • "The food and service were perfect. Everything was brilliantly prepared and tasted wonderful. We just wished they had Vodka for a pre-dinner cocktail. I travel all over the world for my job and would rank Spaggi's and this meal in the top 5... We enjoyed... Minsetrone Caprese Petto Di Pollo Al Doro It's very difficult to maintain a near-perfect rating on Dining websites but Spaggi's is the real deal."
