Although we were not able to enjoy the flounder, the stuffed grouper was out of this world. They provide you with a complementary glass of red or white wine with dinner. We found this restaurant on Open Table, which is always an great way to find good restaurants in cities and towns we visit.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMBravo to our server Cleopatra;Bravo to our server Cleopatra; she attended to our every wish with the lightest possible intrusion. First she seated us exactly as we'd asked -- a corner table where we could converse with our dinner companions. Then she controlled the pace of ordering and serving in perfect tempo with the social activity. All four in our party were very pleased with the meals. We brought a bottle of wine and she served that as if we'd bought it there. Future visits to Beaufort will always include dinner at Southern Graces when we really want the perfect environment for a pleasant dinner with good friends!

Lovely setting with a pretty garden view, terrific service and a wonderful menu. Four of us each ordered a different entree and everyone was very pleased with their meal.
We were not aware that the restaurant is BYOB, however. Fortunately, we stopped to confirm our reservation before heading out for an afternoon of shopping and the host mentioned the BYOB policy, so that we were able to pick up wine before arriving for dinner. If not for that, we would have been very disappointed not to have wine with dinner. The cuisine is heavenly, the ambiance delightful and the staff most accommodating. I recommend it for lunch daily except for Mondays and for dinner Thursday - Saturday evenings. Reservations a must. Don't forget the Sunday brunch. Service staff went out of their way to make our dinner a real treat. Since they don't have a liquor license, it is great that you can bring your own wine and they don't charge a corkage fee. We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted to have champagne. very laid back. It was a good experience, but you do have to know to bring your own wine if you want. There was
