"The chef tries to do too much with the menu offerings and their preparation for such a tiny restaurant. The meal began with fresh popovers which were baked perfectly, but since they were serving so few people, would have been baked all at once and then kept warm for the people who ordered later, thus not piping hot right out of the oven. The food that we ordered varied quite a lot. My BLT salad was perfect and delicious. The crab-stuffed grouper was delicious, but the blackeyed-pea risotto that accompanied it was luke-warm and lacked flavor and the green beans (not haricot-verts as the menu said) were tough. The chef should revamp the menu with fewer choices and more flexibility to use the best produce of the day for accompaniments."

"We had a delightful dinner at Southern Graces. The ambiance was beautiful, a perfect little inn and restaurant. The menu offers a variety of choices. I had the flounder which was served whole and perfectly cooked. It is important to know that wine is not offered but we did know that ahead of time and brought our own. Two other couples dining near us did not know that and were surprised. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We would definitely go back."

"I recently had a special Christmas luncheon with several friends. Some of the ladies had never been to the Beaufort Inn and they were very impressed with the decor, food and the overall ambience of the Inn. We were seated in a smaller dining room across from the main dining room and it was much quieter. The food was excellent, as usual. Our server was attentive but not hovering and was very good at explaining the menu. The fried green tomatoes are a special favorte of mine and the appetizer did not disappoint. Overall a wonderful place for ladies who lunch."

"The food was outstanding, great service. I had the sweet potato ravioli. From the first taste I was pleasantly surprised by many different flavors. We did not feel rushed, it was a very relaxing luncheon. As a repeat customer, this restaurant has never disappointed!"
