The trout was flavorless and overcooked and the shrimp and grits was edible but I'd hope they're going for more than that. Good drinks and good dessert. We won't be back."

  • "Very good butcher's platter with a generous serving of four different types of very thinly sliced cured meats with house made crackers that were the highlight of the meal. Very good service. Cured salmon had a weird sweetish sauce that (in our opinion) didn't enhance the salmon. Crab fritters were good, but no match for bacchanalia's. We would return if it's in walking distance of our hotel."

  • "We booked for lunch on Saturday and had really wanted and expected to be impressed. Truthfully, we were anything but - service was awkward at best, the kitchen staff arguing was distracting, the 3 items we ordered from the Ham Bar were not available. As far as appetizers and then entrees - chicken & dumplings had an abundance of green onions in them, broth was very very thin with a few egg noodles, spoonbread somehow managed to stick to the skillet and be incredibly greasy at the same time. Most things needed salt, bbq sauce on pork sandwich was very greasy. Collards and Chicken best of the bunch. The worse part is I have a reaction to MSG and had a significant one after lunch. Really unacceptable for something with Art Smith's name on it."

  • "Love bourbon so i had to try!I read some reviews on here and the common complaint that I heard was that the service was bad. I can understand that sometimes service can be spotty, so i took the risk and came here anyways. For an appetizer I had some Ham from their exquisite Ham bar with the southern cheese platter. Both were incredible. We also ordered the friend green tomatoes-Not impressed.Very plain. I had the pork shank which was amazing. My only complaint was our waiter. Didn't refill our water. He dropped off an iPad with a drink menu and left for a long time....took a very long time to get our drinks. Its like every time he walked away, he forgot he had a table...other patrons seemed to be getting much better service than us. "

The restaurant had just as much art as any other restaurant...Maybe I had high expectations but overall the food and service was superior. Next time I would like to try their brunch..."

  • "This place ruined my evening. It all started when I arrived for my 8:00 reservation. I was seated and waited for about 15 minutes before being offered a glass of water. The waiter finally came over and rushed us through the menu. We did not receive dinner rolls, nor were we offered a wine menu. We had to ask for these items. We placed our order and got the dinner rolls along with the appetizers. We had smoked salmon and fried green tomatoes, which were just ok. While waiting on the entree, I ordered a mai tai, but had to get up and get my own drink stirrer from the bar. I waited for about 45 minutes to get the entree and the food was cold. The Manager did not charge us for anything, but I was still hungry when I left."

  • "Servers were super nice, but food came out an hour+ late. 2 in our group ordered the breakfast Buffett and they were stuffed long before even a cup of coffee showed up. When food did come out it was missing some sides and even a full order. Comedy of errors. New German manager was very accommodating once he learned, but it took 3 complaints and then to ask for manager to finally get it fixed. Food was great once it finally staggered out. "

  • "The food is perhaps even better than good. It's pretty delicious. Unfortunately, the vibe is just not there. This is a lobby dining area in a hotel that has a restaurant name slapped on it. As we were eating dinner, the servers were setting up signage and table condiments for the hotel's breakfast which is clearly served in the same place the next morning. When it was time to go, we actually had to push tables and chairs out of our way to reach the exit as other servers who were cleaning had haphazardly strewn them about the narrow room, not even considering that perhaps the last two guests in the room might need to leave. But the food is good."

  • "Went on Mother's Day but before the brunch had 1000am reservations. Front told us to wait to one side and would call us when ready. Waited over a half an hour for our table. No body came by to ask how we are doing give us snacks menu. People who came later got in before us. Food was good except all over easy and medium eggs were either hard or very medium had to ask for biscuits. Note waiter was very attentive. Not worth half hour plus wait "

  • "Went for my boyfriend's birthday and it was just wonderful. The food was fantastic, the drinks were heavenly (some I'd never even heard of, and I'm a drinker!) At one point, we'd gone outside to smoke and they accidentally cleared our table. They immediately remedied the situation and comped the drinks they'd taken. Our server was wonderful and attentive without being in our hair. We love trying new places, but this is definitely going into our normal rotation"

  • "Group of 5 for a corporate dinner. My boss from London was in town and wanted to eat southern food in buckhead. Had a few cocktails at the bar beforehand and they really hit the spot. I recommend any of their versions of the old fashioned. Also had some homemade chips while at the bar. Dinner was great. The southern flat bread and fried green tomatoes were perfect appetizers. A couple people ordered shrimp and grits, while one tried the crab cake, and one tried the fried chicken. Everyone's dinner was on point. We were too full for dessert but heard others around us rave about the red velvet cake. Waiter was a bit soft spoken but other than that a great night. "

  • "Our party of 8 were seated 15 mins past our reservation as the host made us wait for a large group to finish despite numerous open tables available. Another 15 mins went by and we finally had to ask the host for our waitress. He hurriedly sent over sweet Ms. Ann who took our order and provided drinks quickly. 30 mins later we again had to ask for something else- our food! It was more than an hour after our reservation time that we finally got to eat. You could tell by the presentation that the food was made hurriedly. The food didn't taste bad, but we've had much better there before. Though they apologized for the poor service & comped our meal, we would have preferred great food and great service which we are more than happy to pay for."
