Diner Reviews
  • "Now, it was my first time having trout, but it was delicious! The back patio is private and lovely decorated with pansies."

  • "Because my husband is on a very low sodium diet, eating out is usually a challenge for us. But at the Ridge Street Seafood Grill, the staff and chef were incredibly accommodating. They created a delicious meal that met my husband's dietary needs. Their menu is creative and takes advantage of seasonal fruits and vegetables."

  • "Between a large group and a table with an infant, we were concerned about noise, but everyone maintained a reasonable level of table talk. Each of us in our foursome chose the lamb meatballs, so I changed at the last moment to the crab cakes. Everyone was pleased with their orders. I also enjoyed the apple and goat cheese salad very much. We will definitely return."

  • "We loved our dinner! Great service and dinner. We had the salmon special, lamb meatballs, and the trout dip. Our waitress was super sweet! A quieter atmosphere in Breck. Will go back next visit!"

  • "This place has something for everyone, yet has a really wonderful ambiance."

  • "Great Sangria, but the cola glass lessened the enjoyment. The Fish entree was approximately 1/8 of a lb. of fish for $24. Had to send it back due to rubbery & dry texture... Tasted like it had been reheated from earlier. They graciously exchanged it for a more moist portion. Their "hash" was dry & tasteless & a lot like what you'd get in a fast food restaurant. The chicken breast was chewy; asparagus & ravioli was good. Again this entree had small portions, & overall the dish was just average. Service was good. The noise level was deafening. There are so many better restaurants in Breck, doubt I'd return."

  • "We stopped in here for some happy hour snacks and wine. The tuna cocktail is divine! We also ordered the trout dip, hummus, and some peel 'n eat shrimp. I don't think I would get the shrimp again, I like mine deveined. I understand that is the nature of peel 'n eat shrimp though. The kids ordered lemonade, which was fresh squeezed, so refreshing! I got the ruby trout, it was great! My husband weht for the bowl of clam chowder, he was trying to have a "light dinner." I think his bowl of soup had twice the calories of my main dish:) The clam chowder isthe best he had ever tasted! Great back patio too, and excellent service! Making the online reservation from my phone app made it so easy for a mom on vacation! Thanks opentable!"

  • "The food was just a wonderful as always - one of our favorite spots in Breck"

  • "We arrived at 5:30 in time for happy hour specials. We chose the house red wine and oysters on the half shell. Oysters were wonderful. We then had Rocky Mountain trout and Nova Scotia salmon--excellent!! Presentation and accompaniments were more than expected. We didn't have room for dessert, but the dessert menu looked very appealing. We vowed to return another time for dessert only. You will have a great dinner at South Ridge Seafood Grill!"

  • "This was our second time dining here. The food was creative and tasty. My wife ordered the King Crab Legs, usually expensive everywhere. The portion was much smaller than expected. The Char delicious. It was the environment that was most disappointing. Obviously the bar is an important part of this business. Through out dinner we were treated to a loud discussion in the bar by the staff. It was disappointing that they were oblivious to the comfort of diners in their restaurant."

  • "We are never disappointed with South Ridge Seafood Grill. The food is as wonderful as ever and the prices have been reduced!! When was the last time a great place did that?"

  • "Tried this restaurant during our Easter holiday and had no regret. We made an online reservation and were able to walk in and be immediately seated with no wait. The oysters were good! "

  • "Everything was as tremendous as always - the food superb and the service excellent!"

  • "Food was uninspired and not worth the price. Service was only OK. Our waitress, to be fair, was really overwhelmed with too many tables. Coffee was ice cold. Crab cakes were disappointing and not very flavorful. I would recommend skipping this place if you are in Breckenridge."

  • "If you go definitely try the Trout because it is the best we've had in Summit County. Wine list is a bit limited and expensive, but what can you expect in the mountains? Butternut Squash appetizer was also very good."

  • "My husband and I ate here a couple nights ago. Everything was tasty and the fish was perfectly cooked--one of my pet peeves is taking a great piece of fish and overcooking it--that did not happen here. It was moist and tender. The rest of the dish was also very good, though I would have liked a bit more boldness in the spicing. But I'm being picky. I would definitely come back. For any of you that are gluten free, know that none of their desserts are gluten free (though they did offer me vanilla ice cream)."

  • "This quaint little restaurant did an amazing job with our party of 6 this past Tuesday 3/4/14. Adam was attentive kept the drinks full, had GREAT food recommendations and did the owners proud. I don't get to Breck as often as I would like, but South Ridge Seafood will see me again."

  • "After a good day on the slopes, you must take an evening and dine at South Ridge Seafood. There were 7 of us dining which presented a bit of a challenge to our server, but she came through quite well. Each of our entrees were superb, with the halibut special getting the nod as the best of show. Nice wine and beer list and an energetic atmosphere will please just about everyone. Great night out!"

  • "The space is interesting. The menu is limited, but good. The service was poor...we were first presented with the wrong check. When the server brought the one for our table, it did not include the glass of wine we had ordered at the bar and were told would be transferred. When the next check was brought, we were charged for two glasses of wine. Finally, on the third attempt we received a correct bill. This place has so much potential. Please address the service issues!"

  • "When originally making our reservation they only had 6:00pm (too early) or 8:15pm (too late) options so we went with the 8:15pm, but noted that we would like to move it closer to 7:00 if possible. They accommadated the earlier time with not problems - great start. The restaurant is pretty unassuming from the exterior and the interior is more of a saloon atmosphere (well done) with a pretty high noise level which we added to. We shared the trout dip with the table and it was outstanding. Everyone's entrees (Trout, Mahi-Mahi, Salmon) were all exceptional. Service was fine despite it being quite busy. The wine selection was rather small, but adequtate choices for our group. Overall, everyone was very impressed and would highly recommend."

  • "Whenever we're on our way to Breck, we try and get a reservation ahead of time for South Ridge. A must for busy weekend nights, but always worth the trouble and they are ready with open arms. Had the Grilled Mahi Mahi this time and my partner had the Rib Eye. Both were cooked to perfection and the sides were notable, and not the same old potatoes or rice. Delicious wedge too, fresh crunchy, and plenty of creamy blue cheese."

  • "Outstanding! All four meals were fabulous. Mussels broth is to die for, ask for a cup of love! Trout is simply the best anywhere."

  • "Really enjoyed the food, the wait staff looked pretty stressed, read understaffed, however nothing was missed and service was prompt enough. Pretty high noise levels with people eating at the bar and watching basketball (what is with that in a nice restaurant?)"

  • "Really enjoyed this Resturant. Fish entrees were Fabulous! Salmon and trout were the best we've had. Cooked perfectly, wonderful presentation, and not over flavored . The kale salad appetizer was excellent as well as the crab cakes. Children's shrimp meal was just ok. Not a fancy place , but what a great meal ! Would definitely recommend."

  • "Loved this place start to finish. The ambiance and decor remind you of a familiar comfortable place. The service was excellent and everything that we ordered was excellent. Oysters to start were fresh, the crab cake unique and among the best we've ever had. I had the Trout and my wife the Monk fish. Both were delicious including all the sides. The dessert was perhaps a little bit over-the-top (we ordered the Pave), but we very much enjoyed our experience at South Ridge Seafood and wouldn't hesitate to visit again. And.....very reasonable......for Breckenridge."

  • "Great little spot, with nice bar and great food. Lot's of happy apris skiers loading up on great seafood, and some land lubber delights. Group of us enjoyed view right by front window, so quaint and cozy. Service was fantastic and wasn't too loud for a very large crowd. Need reservations any weekend night."

  • "This place came highly recommended, especially the mussels in Thai coconut broth. And it really was absolutely delicious-along with a basket of bread to sop up the broth! Also got Kings Crab Legs-pretty good. Calamari Salad was not what we were expecting and wished we had skipped it as our appetizer choice. Not much to look at. Great bar and the bar tender was very entertaining and friendly. Would go again just to get the mussels."

  • "My wife and I have been there twice this winter and it has become one of our favorite restaurants in Breck. I had the Opah special last night which had a wonderfully smokey grilled flavor served over a buttery squash and green bean base. My wife enjoyed the Ahi Tuna special although it was a bit salty and the accompanying saltines was bizarre "what the f#*k" were they thinking." Last time we were here, I raved about the special bass (from Pagosa Springs) which I describe as exuding a heavenly infused mesquite flavor of a fillet that graciously split along the muscle lines yielding layers of translucent flesh that dissolved in my mouth. My wife's salmon flaked with perfection and she was astounded with the complex flavors of the kale salad."

  • "We have been visiting for the last four years whilst on our annual ski trip. The food is always fantastic with a wide range of tasty fish dishes. The wine selection is interesting and afordable. The servers are always friendly without being too intrusive. The water man is a local legend The weekend staff seem to be much more accomplished and professional, our only complaint, ever, was with our midweek head waitress who actually never spoke on our entry to the restaurnt and directed us to our table with a waived finger, thankfully the weekend staff save the day. Would definitely recommend."

  • "We frequent South Ridge when we visit Breck. Food is always predictably good, service good. The only objection is the noise level can be really loud from the bar when you are dining in the dining room. There is probably no solution for this problem with the old tin ceilings and poor acoustics."

  • "Three of us ate there during the epic snow storm. The food was fresh and tasty. The menu is not large but very adequate. The only complaint was the food was a little cool coming out from the kitchen. Otherwise a great place in Breckenridge."

  • "Daughter-in-law found good review and suggested we go here for dinner. My son and I got the special (Colorado Bass) I think - it was amazing. The sides were meh, but the fish was superb. We had oysters on the half shell as an appetizer - they were very good. Husband got a seafood stew which was also very good. D-I-L had Mahi which had an excellent side of risotto. Would definitely recommend/return."
