Sosa Borelladon't overlook this gemEasy to walk past it on such a busy corner. Great Argentinean food and hospitable service. Felt like a great neighborhood spot. Easy to carry on a conversation. Only downside was that my pitcher of sangria didn't seem to have any alcohol in it.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect dinnerI ate at Sosa Borella with my daughter before attending a show. The location was perfect, but the food and ambiance were even better. I was pleasantly surprised by the rustic charm we found upon entering. It was immediately comfortable and welcoming. The service was great. AS soon as we sat, our server asked if we were attending a show, and made sure our orders came out quickly. Our food arrived steaming hot and delicious. Looking forward to going back.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMTheater District GemSosa Borella was perfect for our pre-theater dinner. The food, service and ambiance were great and we were able to carry on an extended conversation without having to shout. Located a short walk to many of the Broadway theaters, it is ideally located for a pre-theater dinner. They also have outdoor dining. I woulod highly recommend the three course price fixed dinner.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways Great! We went to dinner before our 8pm show and as usual the meal was great. I would go back in a heartbeat!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWent before the theater --Went before the theater -- the waiter asked us about that possibility and assured us we would be served so getting to the show would not be a problem. The food was well prepared and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe chose Sosa Borella becauseWe chose Sosa Borella because of it's close proximity to the Gershwin Theater where we were seeing Wicked. We are very glad we chose to eat here! Both my husband and I enjoyed the dinners we ordered. First I have to say the bread they serve is fantastic! It was so good we ate it all and asked for more! They serve it with chimichurri sauce which is also very good. We started with the Picada which we shared. It was very good. I especially like the goat cheese and the Manchego. For our entrees, I ordered the Rosemary Lemon Chicken. I mainly chose it because it came with gorgonzola mashed potatoes and my husband ordered the parrillada. Both entrees were very good and came out piping hot! I hate when food comes out lukewarm. We would go back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways tasty and reliableAlways tasty and reliable in terms of service and tone. Attentive service. Great Sangria.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't let the sign out frontDon't let the sign out front fool you ...The restaurant is charming inside and the upstairs dining area makes you feel like you are in New Orleans...The food was so flavorful and delicious.... What made it extra special was our waiter Philip. Great lunch experience.

Phillip, our waiter was excellent.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I truly enjoyedMy husband and I truly enjoyed our meal. The food was well prepared and done to the requested temperatures.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOn my own and wiyh friendsOn my own and wiyh friends and family, I have become a frequent customer. I found the waiter's unwillingness
to substitute salad for a potato, particularly when another waiter had acceded to the same request at lunch the day before, most u generous and unattractive and it left me less anxious to return.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGo ahead and splurgeMy husband chose Sosa Borella for he and I to celebrate his 70th birthday. We had eaten there once before and been thrilled and were not at all disappointed this time. We had an early dinner reservation in order to get to the opera with plenty of time, and we were first seated in the upstairs dining room. Our waiter treated us as friends coming to his house for a meal and made us immediately feel relaxed and comfortable. (Ask someone to show you the 'raccoon'). We ordered a Grilled Calamari on Mesclun salad to share which was wonderful, then I had the Branzino special and my husband splurged on the Lobo (filet mignon). We tasted each other's and if you're wondering if the Lobo is worth that much money, go for it. It is to die for.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this place, its noisyLove this place, its noisy in a good way with lots of people enjoying their meals, so fun ambiance... the parmesan lemon chicken is my favorite...3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMNot Fancy but great foodGreat little restaurant near a lot of the theaters. We ate here after seeing "Once". Not a bad walk at all. Delicious freshly made linguini with shrimp and lobster ravioli. The bread was outstanding, as were the martinis. Empanada appetizer was so flavorful. I would recommend this if you are looking for a good italian restaurant with a spanish flare.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect pre-theater spot.Perfect pre-theater spot. Very welcoming service staff. We enjoyed our meal enough to go back two nights later to explore the menu further. The second meal was equally as good. The aged strip steak with cimmichurra sauce was a treat.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMUnsung excellenceOne of the consistently excellent restaurants in the busy, competitive theater area. The kitchen is consistently good, they concoct the best polenta and Sangria in town, service is always pleasant and knowledgeable.1/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
