The restaurant facility was designed by owner Dr. Robert Jankelson to compliment his much acclaimed Tsillan Cellars Winery. Tsillan Cellars and Sorrento’s Ristorante are open 364 days a year for lunch, dinner, weddings and special events, closing only on New Year’s Day.

Diner Reviews
  • "This was our last dinner in Chelan for the Summer season and we loved it! The children loved their dinner and so did the adults. Good quality and great service by all staff. Wine is fabulous to say the least, we renewed our wine club membership!"

  • "I come here everytime I'm in Chelan. They have amazing wine, service, and gourmet food."

  • "They finally have their wine billed on the same ticket as their food. That was annoying in the past. The food was good. Not the best ribeye I've ever had but it was good. A bit overpriced for what I got but the view makes up for that."

  • "This is my favorite place to eat in the United States!"

  • "A problem with inattentive service (entire wait staff) and our order ticket getting lost, which caused a big delay in getting our food. However, all the other times we have visited Sorrento's, the service and food have both been very good. We appreciate that the server was very apologetic for the food delay oversight, and we received free deserts and a discount on our bill."

  • "This restaurant is a must when visiting Lake Chelan. The winery is absolutely beautiful and the wine is fabulous, I recommend Sempre Amore. a white wine that goes with anything and great for summer. The food is very good and has that Italian homemade delicious quality. We dine here every visit and have taken so many friends and family here. Recent visit with my Italian relatives confirmed the authentic food quality and taste. The dining area is beautifully appointed and comfortable both in summer and fall. We have sat by the koi pond a number of times and it is so relaxing. Service is exceptional and the wine stewards are so knowledgeable and friendly, not pompous or stuffy making wine selection easy and comfortable. Come dine and enjoy!"

  • "Food was tasty, along with bread & dipping sauce. Wednesday night pasta specials are well within price range. Service was good. Not impressed with wine and shortage of good appetizers. Sorrento's has decreased in our estimation. Not sure if we will return or recommend to our summer guests. 3 star restaurant with a 5 star view."

  • "Right next to Tsillan winery, it was fun to wine taste, then move outside on a beautiful summer evening for a fine meal outdoors, overlooking Lake Chelan. The service was friendly and attentive."

  • "The open dining to a fantastic view was excellent. The food had a great taste and was served in a timely manner. The mood of the restaurant was very relaxed and fun."

  • "We had a really good experience eating here. The setting and view were amazing - really special. The service was great and the food was pretty good - not the best, especially for the price, but this was more than made up for by the ambience."

  • "We dined here for our three year anniversary while spending the weekend in Lake Chelan. We arrived early for some advance wine tasting. The tasting room was packed, so not the best experience, but worthwhile doing to pick out a bottle of wine for dinner. We were seated at a nice table to enjoy the view of the lake. Dinner was excellent with good service. Since it was our anniversary, they treated us to a complimentary dessert which was nice! Excellent experience all around and would return when in the area again!"

  • "Food was great ! View was great ! Kid friendly. The wine was the one of the best parts of the evening . We loves everything about the evening and cannot wait to go back !"

  • "We haven't dined at Sorrento's in a couple years and were impressed with the upgrades they have made to their outdoor dining area. The food remains delicious and the views of Lake Chelan and the countryside unsurpassed. We were also very impressed with their wine cellars "double gold winner" Pinot Grigio. A great experience overall."

  • "We booked this a month in advance, we were so excited to eat there. The service was just OK. The person clearing our table was less than thrilled to be working there. We asked him a simple question about the balsamic dipping sauce for the bread and he said he didn't know and just walked away. Our entrees were a miss for the most part. The eggplant was overcooked and everyone's side zucchini was under cooked. The iced coffee was pretty bad as well. However, the location is amazing and we had a great table for such a large group. We just expected more. But we would go back, the wine is amazing!!"

  • "It was very good...we should have checked our check closer though...when we arrived home we realized we were charged for a bottle of pinot gris rather than a glass..it was a 12dollar over charge...we will come back ..we will just check our bill a little closer."

  • "Had a romantic evening with my husband. Food was wonderful, wine server was knowledgeable and guided me to what I liked. Had a view of the patio and Koi pond, beautiful! Service was a tad slow at the end to get our bill, but otherwise it was a wonderful evening and would expect to go back when we are in town again."

  • "Out of 5 people, only one felt their food was outstanding. I paid @ $36 for about a 2 oz portion of overcooked salmon. Wine choices are limited to the host winery. Some good, some not so good. Service was very good. I spoke to friends that went. They said theirs was fine but stick to the pasta. Our food lacked and we may not be back."

  • "Of our group of 11, it was a return visit for many of us and we will definitely be back. The venue is outstanding with one of the best views in Chelan. A must for lunch after ChelanMan each year! Great service, great food, great wine, great company! See you next year!"

  • "great spot and food. wine service was good, food service was average. We were celebrating special occasion and this was not acknowledged or coordinated. As a former restaurant person, this was a huge missed opportunity for our foursome to be talking about our experience. Now, we will not be doing that."
    Dined on 7/17/2014
  • "Hillside setting amidst grape vines; great view of Lake Chelan. The tables with the best view are very hot in the late afternoon sun. The waitress was kind enough to warn us of that so we were seated in the back near the water fountain. Chicken Marsala was delicious. Clam linguini was dry; practically no sauce. Large pieces of onion and not many clams."

  • "Tsillan Cellars Is always a must see when we have out of town guests but now we will add the adjoining Sorrentos to the experience. We had a wonderful server and it's a real plus that the wine charge is no longer separate from the food. We were there on Pasta night and there were lots of choices at a very reasonable price."

  • "Had a great dinner the other night, with all the walls retracted to let the amazing view in. Attentive service and wonderful food. The wine isn't bad either. We'll definitely be back."

  • "I love the fact you can see Lake Chelan from your table or look out over the lush garden with a water feature. The main entree and dessert was good. We were disappointed in the salad presentation, it was in a soup bowl instead on a chilled plate. When our main entree arrived he reached over one guest to deliver another guest plate. There was no reason to do that there was plenty of room to walk around the table. He appeared to be a new waitperson and not well trained. We ordered red and white wine, but everyone got white wine glasses even if they were drinking red wine. The wine steward uncorked the red wine before bringing it to the table and and just poured it into the person's glass with out letting him taste it first."

  • "One of the most beautiful dining spots in the World. The sandwiches for lunch were excellent paired with our salad. The place got very busy the Saturday after the 4th of July and we did have to wait a long time for our bill to come. Great service up to the bill wait. Highly recommend this Italian gem."

  • "Lovely spot on the hillside, great wine from Tsilian cellars, server very nice. Staff seemed stressed and disorganized. Some mistakes with orders. Food was not "fine ding". Food reminded us of airport hotel food. Not terrible but not special. The location is so spectacular, they need a chef with a vision and some training."

  • "As always, we had a great time at Sorrento's Restaurant. The ambience is fantastic - a piece of Italy overlooking Chelan Lake. The views are scenic, the courtyard is without a doubt beautiful. Food is excellent. Wait staff are extremely friendly and attentive. They make one feel like family."

  • "The food was excellent! The service was great-very prompt! Their wines are wonderful! Would recommend this place to anyone!!! Will be going again!!!"

  • "Stunning view. Nice staff. But felt like a fast food place. Rushing, rushing, rushing. Hadn't finished siting down and there is bread on the table. Haven't picked up the menu and being asked what kind of wine we'd like. Same with salad then entree. Likely new staff so maybe they need to be reminded the difference between dining and eating. Then the food. Chopped salad that was nicely presented and pretty good. Pasta night specials- don't go there. Uninspired manicotti and rigatoni. Both served less than hot. Both less than flavorful. Both uneaten leftovers. Limited wine list. But ok. Really wanted to love this place but Karma (down the road) beats them on the menu, wine, and service. Their view isn't bad either. Sorry."

  • "We had the salmon and chicken Marsella. Fish was way under cooked and lacked flavor for being cedar planked Veggies were good. Chicken was on a spungee pound cake? polenta? and was thin and maybe frozen and boiled? Not what I would call chicken. Way too many servers for the type of restaurant. If it wasn't for the view and reasonably flavored wine....(not the price) it was a bust. probably will not be back for a long time. Desert was good. did not feel the food or wine matched the $150 price."

  • "This is not our first time at Sorrento's. We are club members at the winery and come for special occasions. This weekend we came to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. Everything was absolutely wonderful, delectable, and just plain awesome!! Love your wait people!"

  • "We had stopped here three years ago and had planned to return as this is our favorite winery. The staff was so good, the ambience a feast for the senses, and the whole evening made for a wonderful 57th anniversary celebration. We had expected a lot, but this exceeded our hopes."

  • "My friend and I were seated at a small table for two that was "wrought iron" with "wrought iron" chairs. Because of the placement of the "wobbly" table we both had to turn our chairs to avoid our knees hitting the center post under the table. I went home with a terrible back ache that ruined the rest of my evening. This is the only reason I'm not interested in returning."

  • "I've been here for tasting and am a wine club member- first time for dinner and will return. Loved the choices of entrees. The food was amazing. Servers are friendly- one small issues- a bit too attentive- we felt bombarded between the food server, drink server and various water and table bussers. Perhaps few server individuals per table?"

  • "I dined here with 5 friends during a long weekend in Chelan. The food and service was very good. We were particularly impressed with the sauces. The wine list is limited to the wine from the their own winery, but it was a nice selection. We visited mid-season, so it was very uncrowded. During warmer weather the doors are opened and there is seating outside. The view is lovely of the winery and Lake Chelan. We will visit again."

  • "We enjoy an occasional treat at Sorrento's, because of the great food and wine. As wine club members we get a discount on restaurant charges, which we often forget to mention. Dave, our server provides great attention to detail, and includes the discount even when we forget. It's a repeat for sure."
