Amazing food, attentive servers, classy furnishings, and an overall great place to celebrate a special occasion or take a client for dinner. We celebrated our 5th anniversary at Sorrento North and we had a wonderful night out. Will definitely return and recommend to others.

Pretty average for a resto claiming to be upscale with upscale prices! The lightly breaded cauliflower florettes were heavily breaded deep-fried mush. The panko crusted pork tenderloin was boring, and the vegetables that came with it were equally boring. Overall not an impressive dish. Overall not good value for the prices charged. And I hate restaurants where they calculate the tip on top of the tax, why do I need to tip the government on their tax collection? As an Italian restaurant you think they would know how to serve red wine. Red wine is not served at room temperature, it's served at cellar temperature, which is slightly cool. This restaurant served it warm!

A last minute reservation for 4. Very friendly and warm staff - the restaurant was not very busy since it was a Wednesday. Only one waitress who looked a bit rushed but she never kept anyone waiting for anything. The food was simply exquisite. The wine list very affordable. We had a vegetarian with us and had no trouble finding more than one choice for the guest. Will definitely dine here again.

A wonderful dinner was enjoyed by our family. The presentation and taste of all the dishes was perfect. Truly authentic Italian food, makes you fell that you are actually on the Amalfi coast. Make sure you save room for dessert as the gelato and all things made with it is spectacular. We will definitely be back.

Found this restaurant on Open Table. Food was quite good. Supposed to come with sides but I would say the sides are VERY small. One small piece of broccoli and half a Persian potato? I had fish, husband had fish also and shared a salad. NO drinks. Came to $80! Pricey for what you get- although fish was good. Waiter was good but manager seemed to be hovering over him and us - was a bit annoying.

We had ten guests at the Sorrento North to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were offered the private room which was great as it was quiet and away from the hustle of the main dining area. The food was very good. We had to wait awhile for some of our guests to arrive and one of the guests was in a wheel chair and they were very good at accommodating all of our guests. Because we were in the back and some of our guests arrived late our food order was staggered and we had some gaps in getting the food. But, since they didn't need to re-seat the room we were not rushed and it was a good experience.

We went for a late dinner, around 8:45, and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We had the octopus salad and fried zucchini flowers for appetizers, and both were delicious. We shared the lobster ravioli, which was so flavourful that we had to use our bread to sop up all the sauce! Our entrees were also fabulous -- veal chop for my husband and steak for me. Dessert options were great and we enjoyed the gelato and the beignets with a lovely coffee cream. It was all fantastic! We will definitely return!

We went to celebrate a family birthday and we all enjoyed our food. The calamari was great, and the pasta was perfect. The veal chop was excellent and the spigola was one of the best in the city. Nino, the owner, made the evening so special by making my daughter's favorite gelato to end the night.

Excellent service and very good food. There is a fair amount of fish and seafood on the menu but they also have some very good meat dishes. Our little group started with the antipasto - a mix of meats, some cheese and artichoke hearts. I would have liked a better variety especially in the cheese department. For mains we had a variety of dishes - grilled fish, calamari and shrimp, roast beef and steak. All the mains were excellent though my partner complained that there were no veggies with her roast beef (only mash potatoes). We all have desserts and they were quite good. We also shared a bottle of wine and had coffees. A very nice atmosphere for small groups, couples and families though not inexpensive.

Great location especially for a suburban restaurant. Although very quiet the service was excellent. Good selection of specials, although went for two vegetarian pasta dishes which were extremely tasty. Home made dessert was delicicious. This was a second visit and would definately return for a third. Overall a little more pricey but well worth it!

    OpenTable Diner Since 2011VIP
    Dined on 12/1/2012
We had a fairly large birthday party in the Palm Room (12 people), which was far enough away from the rest of the restaurant that we didn't have to worry about the kids being too noisy. The food was great, and while the 70oz steak was a big hit, the pastas stole the show. We've also enjoyed the seafood on previous visits. A great place for great food if you're north of the city. Service was very attentive, but not obtrusive, despite a packed main area of the restaurant.

Great restaurant with a downtown feel north of the city! The seafood pasta, made with homemade pasta, is amazing! The desserts are also excellent and large enough for sharing. Although the food is excellent, the noise level at this restaurant can be a bit too loud at times; the acoustics are not great - don't expect a quiet, romantic dinner.

We ordered the Mushroom, Truffle & Ricotta Pasta. It was homemade and very delicious. Also ordered the Veal Chop, cooked to perfection but a little over seasoned. We finished the meal with the Mille Foglie, which looked more impressive than it tasted. The layers were very dry and too crunchy, pastry might have been left out too long. Service was not great. It was a busy Friday night but our server did not pay much attention to us. Presumably because we did not order wine. The owner was quite friendly & nice, however. When the bill came, we noticed they charged for hot water with lemon, a fact that the server neglected to inform us. Charging for hot water is not a norm like charging for coffee or tea, and waiters should always clarify.
