Diner Reviews
  • "Our party of four received great service and our food was wonderful. We ordered the ravioli appetizer, but was not impressed. Our main courses were really tasty though. The wine list was impressive and the dessert options even more so. We will definitely return!"

  • "We always go here for the Easter brunch and it is great. Went for dinner Friday and the Lobster Bisque was the best I've ever had. The prime rib was very good too."

  • "We had a large group of 26 to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We had two very capable and attentive servers dedicated to our group and I feel like the flow of our dinner was very smooth. The food and service were both outstanding. From the recommendations for appetizers and entrees to the fun presentation of the desert menu. We had a great time - I would recommend Sophabella's to anyone looking for a place to host a large group. Did I mention, the food is great?"

  • "We love to come here for Saturday or Sunday Brunch and enjoy Mimosa's or Poinsettia's. The brunch selections are different than the average breakfast fare. We try to try something different every time we go. We came here for my 50th Birthday and this time was my daughter's 21st Birthday. We will definitely be back soon!"

  • "This farce of an upscale restaurant had the worst service and food of any restaurant I have ever experienced. Mcdonalds has better staff than this horrid place! It took an hour and a half to get our food- nothing was cooked right- there weren't even celery sticks on the Bloody Mary bar! DO NOT GO HERE!"

  • "This restaurant has a great menu and friendly service. It is a great spur of the moment choice."

  • "We ordered the Shrimp/Lobster bisque--very good...The Cream of Mushroom and Steak soup, which was really delicious, the mussels--too salty/garlicky, and the stuffed salmon, dauphine potatoes, and broccoli. The Salmon was tasty and the potatoes were divine. The service was fantastic. Decor is pretty and very adult and romantic."

  • "One of the best "girl's night outs" we have had recently. The accomodations were very good for our larger group...set up ahead of time. Food was allvery good...and we even enjoyed a visit from the Chef! (The lobster bisque was absolutely yummy)! We were celebrating a birthday, and a special birthday dessert was comped to the honoree. Last, but certainly not least...our server was wonderful. She was very helpful with our selections and attentive throughout the evening...and we were the last to leave (they even helped us carry gifts to the car)!. Thank you for making our evening so enjoyable!"

  • "Let be start by saying my wife enjoyed Sophabella's more than I did. I found it to be above average, and better than most chain restaurants, but not overwhelmingly so. I had fried cheese Ravioli which was no different than Olive Gardens. My wife had a portabella mushroom dish she enjoyed. I had a tortellini dish that was very good and she had a seafood medley she really liked. I found it to be a bit fishy, but I'm really picky with seafood. The Cannoli was average, but the chocolate cake was very very good."

  • "Took my wife here for Valentine's Day. The service was great even though they were very busy. The food was delicious, and the restaurant was a lot roomier inside than I expected. Great experience."

  • "First of all the food was amazing, however I only gave the service 3 stars due to we had 745 reservation and didn't sit until 840. We didn't eat until 930. However the wait staff was amazing, and the food was truly wonderful. The place is just small and unfortunately the reservation process could use some work."

  • "So very disappointing. We were celebrating an 18th birthday, and had guest with us. I was very embarrassed. We waited 30 minutes past our reservation. Then waited 1.5 hours for food the was cold. Will not go back."

  • "My husband and I chose to dine at Sophabella's for Valentine's Day. While our experience was not bad it was certainly only fair at best. Our meals varied in quality. The steak was excellent and the Seafood Portofino was very lackluster. It had a lot of great seafood but ended up average due to the watery consistency of the sauce and a general lack of flavor. The tiramisu was very cold and dry - probably the worst I have had in quite some time. Unfortunately, the service did not make up for the food. Although we ordered drinks immediately, they came after the appetizer was delivered. The waiter was sporadic with his attention and seemed as if he had been thrown into the role. I cannot recommend Sophabella's."

  • "Great food. Restaurant was packed due to Valentines Day, will go back. Only gave 4 stars due to reservations weren't on time had to wait about 20 min to sit. Service was a bit slow but again Valentines Day. Other than that it was fine."

  • "Food is excellent, house wine was good as well. Service was a bit slow and atmosphere is a little less intimate due to small sq footage that is packed with tables. Expect to be nearly shouting to be heard if they are busy. On the plus side, it is busy because it is great food."

  • "My wife and I wanted to try something new. The restraunt in its self was nice. The waiter we had was horrible. He gave us no recommended selections. We had to wait for everything , it took literally 15 mins to get 2 drinks from the bar . The food took 45 to a hr . Everyone around us are and was on their way out as we just received are food, when we finally recieved are door we completely forgot we ordered salads , I refused mine but my wife ate hers. Not one apology came out of this waiters mouth nor was my salad taken off are bill , we will not ever come back to this restraunt nor recommend it ."

  • "The food, outstanding. The ambiance, was okay as it was very crowded, very loud and things were being whisked so fast to hurry for the next patrons, that it lacked the romantic flair I had heard it was great for. Our server was average at best and was not good at keeping our beverages filled nor was he good at keeping us informed of our waits on items. I overheard him loudly explaining to the table next to us that no one should eat veal as it is murdering baby cows. I don't eat veal, however, that made me not want to eat ANYTHING!"

  • "Went on Valentine's Day wth another couple. Waited 30 minutes to be seated although we had a reservation. Food was excellent but service was clearly lacking, most likely because of staffing issues. We waited a good 45 minutes after appetizers before entrees came out. Have had better experiences in the past at this restaurant and it is still a favorite. However, they clearly need to staff better for big occasions and make sure they don't overbook."

  • "They changed up the menu without warning on Valentine's Day....was looking forward to trying a signature pizza, but they didn't offer any. Dinner salad consisted of lettuce and two tomatoes. The main course was fast and tasty, and the bread was quite good. Overall, NOT worth $65 for two people. Won't be back."

  • "We sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. It wasn't until I asked the manager for glasses of water after 15 minutes that we got any attention. Everyone was very friendly, but that was only the beginning of a very interesting date night. I couldn't ever really figure out what was going on as different tables would experience the same thing, problems with their food, and a huge delay. Ultimately it's got to be a management thing—because it appeared that the wait staff was doing multiple jobs. My seafood risotto was very seafood-ie, almost like the sea had been dumped on top. My wife enjoyed her chicken parmigiana. But we won't go back."

  • "Probably one of the worst dining experiences I have had in along time. While the wait staff and hostesses were very attentive, it took us 90 minutes to get our food after out appetizer was served. It also looked to us that parties arriving after us were being served prior to us. The only explanation we got was that there was a big party whose food was ahead of ours. When the food arrive, I found it to be bland as well. There was no effort to reduce the bill for our long wait, which would have been a nice touch. When you add in the inadequate parking and too small waiting area while waiting to be seated, this isn't a place I'll return."

  • "Went for our anniversary. Had calamari, steak and chicken marsala. All were bland and pasta was slimy. Server was very annoying. We had not even taken coats off and she was asking what we wanted to drink and appetizer. IOrdered bottle if wine and she poured full glasses without either if us tasting it. Gabriellas is the best Italian in town and we are sorry we tried something new."

  • "I had the Baked Mostaccioli & Meatballs and my date had the Chicken Mushroom Marsala. If you're looking for solid Italian fare with some of the most genuinely welcoming service in OKC, have dinner here."

  • "Disclaimer: I love this restaurant! My husband and I have been dining here for the last nine years. The food is always great and the service is fantastic. Sometimes the kitchen is a bit slow, but I don't mind that. The food always comes out perfectly, so I have no reason to complain. This NYE was no exception. The place was a busy as I've ever seen it but we got seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. We got the artichoke spinach dip as an appetizer. It was creamy and delicious, though it could have been a bit warmer. The tomato bisque was superb. My grilled salmon was, for the most part, great (it was a bit overdone on the thinner end of the cut). Their risotto is top notch, the broccoli cooked to perfection."

  • "If you like the taste of fresh Italian Food and BIG homemade meatballs, look no further. I've tried the lasagna, spaghetti, marsala and a few other dishes. My only suggestion would be whole wheat pasta as an option. The food is always very good. The service is always attentive."

  • "Service was good, food was very good as always. They were out of a couple of beverages my guests wanted, but it was soon after Christmas, they might have held many holiday parties."

  • "My girlfriend and I went out for dinner, some wine, and gift exchanging. Our waitor "forgot about us" due tobhis "big top" taking up hos time. He broight our water, took our orders, and we never saw him again until I had to raoze my voice to get his attention. All of the staff is not that way but this Layton guy definitely is"

  • "We had a rather large party of 9 people, which I understand can be a bit overwhelming for a server but we were almost the only people in the restaurant. More then once we had to ask for drink refills. We didn't get any bread for the table until AFTER the food came out. My salad had browning lettuce in it. My pasta dish was suppose to be "light sauce" and it was swimming in it. Our server just seemed really frazzled and overwhelmed and we were a fairly easy going party- no hard orders, easy drink choices, not demanding. It was just a bit of a disappointment from what we were expecting. Would love to go back and try it again, as it may have been a fluke, but there are other Italian places I love in the city that I would rather go to."

  • "I ordered the Frittata, hardly any asparagus, and when I say hardly I mean if you put it all together it would be an inch long on a good day. My Husbands potatoes were cold. they do have $1 mimosa's so that was good! Don't think we will be back for Brunch but might try dinner."

  • "How many places offer as good a deep dish pizza as Sophabellas? They load the pies here with lots of toppings (or fillings). And, the service is both warm and efficient."

  • "Pleasant atmosphere and magnificent menu, this is an ideal lunch destination. The staff seemed more geared towards the dinner service, which I haven't experienced."

  • "They have an excellent selection of fine foods, including pizzas, pastas and some steaks. Pizza can be ordered as deep dish, Chicago style and is perfect in crust crust, sauce, and toppings. Good luck eating more than two pieces. We take home the left over of a large pizza for a second meal. It’s also delicious, and they feature several unique combinations. Try the quatro carne for a loaded meat pie. It’s a great restaurant, and we recommend it wholeheartedly."

  • "Pretty disappointed in this place as a brunch spot. The quiche looked terrific on the menu but resembled nothing like the description said - was watery and unimpressive. The cinnamon roll was pathetic - I would have rather had Pillsbury at home and the seasonal fruit was mostly cuts of the green part of a cantaloupe that you are suppose to discard. Everything was edible - but we'll skip Sophabella's for brunch next time."
