  • "Defiantly would treat this as a look forward to treat night out. Step above the Old Town standbys. Food is unique and presented at the right time."

  • "Romantic, softly lit, & nicely decorated restaurant.Just the atmosphere we were looking for to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The menu is pricey. The food was beautifully presented & was delicious.Sunday evening special was a free bottle of wine when you order two entrees.A really great touch & will certainly bring us back. The service we received was phenomenal.A very nice manager was so welcoming & gave us a special table when he learned we were celebrating our 45th anniversary. The serving gals were very sweet & helpful. Our waitress, Sarah, was fantastic! She was very professional, but, was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, & very sweet to talk to.The epitome perfect waitress.Just the finishing touch on a wonderful night out. "

  • "Food excellent, loved concocting my own salad with the salad wheel, service impeccable. My niece, a student at CSU loves steak, and this was the place for her. The peppercorn steak appetizer was amazing. The King Crab add-ons were succulent and the presentation made them easy to eat. The steaks were excellent quality (we're from Kansas City - so we know steak) and prepared perfectly. I was on a restricted diet, and they made every accommodation I asked for, with a smile. Will always visit this restaurant when visiting Fort Collins even though there are dozens of great choices in town."

  • "We had a good dinner but was clearly overpriced for a steakhouse"

  • "A nice, old school steak house that, while seemingly stuck in the 70's or 80's, delivers on great steak, quality and bountiful sides, and good service. We went on a holiday, and while VERY busy, we got seated right away, had great service and never felt rushed."

  • "We took my son for his 21st birthday. It was a great reasonably priced restaurant for a family. The service was wonderful. We had a free bottle of wine with 2 entrees because of their Sunday special. My mother remarked on how it reminded her of a steakhouse from the 70's. Cozy, intimate and wonderful food."

  • "We took our son and his girlfriend to Sonny's for a birthday celebration. It was our first visit, and we were bowled over. The service was excellent, warm, and attentive. They did not gush, but they were sincerely watchful. Our food was also excellent. We all had beef -- and Sonny's knows beef. Every cut was PERFECTLY cooked. I have celiac, so I have the added challenge of a gluten-free meal, and the wait staff rose to the occasion. The whole evening was a delight, and I would return in a heartbeat. This place is pricey, but it's worth it."

  • "Sonny Lubick's was a wonderful place to celebrate my husband's birthday with our family. It was great to make reservations using their website and the online booking link. We were seated immediately and the service was great. We were given great suggestions on wine and the drink list and the food on the menu. All of our meals were very tasty, our steaks were cooked to perfection."

  • "My friends and I were celebrating a number of personal achievements, and decided to go to Sonny Lubick's Steakhouse. A friend of ours, Brian Collins was scheduled to play in the bar. Our server, Sarah, was charming and delightful! Brian's music was terrific. He is wonderful. The food was great too. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This would be a great spot for a romantic dinner. I plan to return, the next time Brian Collins plays perhaps? I hope Sarah is working:)"

  • "This is a very comfortable and sophisticated restaurant with upscale comfort food at a reasonable price. Highly recommended for it's welcoming environment, excellent staff and great food."

  • "Everyone there was GREAT. Arron our server was most attentive. I will be coming back."

  • "Nice atmosphere, but the service was just alright. We waited quite some time before our server came to our table after we sat down. In addition, there was an "assistant server", but neither the main server or assistant seemed to be on the ball."

  • "My grandfather is an old Secret Service agent with a taste for excellent food and cosmopolitans. If the cosmos are bad, the place isn't that great. Sonny Lubick's impressed with their fantastic food, top-notch service, and divine cosmopolitans. We went for the Great Plates special and were definitely wowed. We can't recommend this place any more highly. Grandpa raved the whole way home."

  • "My friend and I went to Sony's for the $25 great plate event. We had never been before and were excited to get a chance to eat affordably at such an upscale restaurant. While there was nothing really wrong with the food, it just was not that good. The meal seemed like you could get it at a much cheaper restaurant and still get the same quality. The only really outstanding thing was the steak itself. The steak was one of the best I have had, but the rest of the meal; the salad, bread, appetizers, sides, and desserts were very common."

  • "Sonny's is a great place to go dine for a double date or a night on the town with your significant other. The food is great and the wine list is great as well. I experienced the great plates deal with Sonny's and that is a steal. The amount of food for the price is outstanding. Coll artifacts in the lobby as well with pictures of other guests along with some of Sonny's signed memorabilia and trophies of success."

  • "This is our favorite place in Fort Collins, despite many other choices. The food, service, atmosphere and music were all excellent."

  • "Great Plates deal was very good - 4 courses for $25! Shrimp cocktail was nice to start. My soup was very good, my wife's salad was pretty plain iceburg style. Main courses were solid but nothing special. Somehow we expected 'wow' for the main course. Vern's toffee Sunday was great for desert. Wine specials were good. Wait staff was very attentive yet not hovering. Front desk staff wasn't very cheery. We never saw him smile in the 15 minutes we waited for our dining companions to arrive."

  • "Prime rib was perfectly rare. Brussel sprouts delicious. Wait staff (the two young women at our table) were excellent. Glad I got to come for Great Plates. The regular menu is so very much more expensive than anything I'd be able to do otherwise. Thanks."

  • "I had never eaten here before and my friend and I went for the "Great Plates" special. I must say, everything we have was amazing. We got so much food and everything was prepared perfectly. Our waiter went above and beyond to make sure we had a great evening and that our meal was what we expected!"

  • "May we suggest one thing~when ordering your special steak...ask about the special sauces that you can choose to have prepared along side of it or drizzled on top of it. There are 4 or 5 different marinades and our waiter never suggested them or talked about them. While we took a bite or two of our steaks we were all needing something to dip our steak in. Very disappointed that he did not suggest something like that because it would have been worth the money that we spent on the meal."

  • "I was suspicious as to whether Sonny Lubick's would be a gimmicky mess. But I was pleasantly surprised at the ambiance and the service. It is a mature restaurant and the sports related decor is relatively easy to ignore if you are not interested. We went for great plates, and the prime rib was excellent."

  • "Dined here for the first time on a Friday night with a party of 6. Good food, lots of varied choices, outstanding service and a really interesting and well-appointed place. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Wine list is nicely done, not extremely large but good choices and not overly expensive. Steak is the thing there but many other choices as well. I'm going back and recommend you give them a.try. Worth every cent!"

  • "My wife and I have been here several times. Usually just for special events. It is very pricey so don't expect to get out with less then $100 bill. Food is almost always good, however we've had a couple of times the steaks were on the done side. Be sure to ask for special care if you're picky about how you like you steak cooked, they do tend towards more done then less. Overall though, a very pleasant experience."

  • "We have been going to this restaurant back when it was Nico's Catacombs. It's gratifying to have Lubick's carry on the fine tradition of great food, service and ambiance. There is not a better steak in Fort Collins."

  • "This was our third visit to Sonny's and we've been delighted every time. The food is excellent - starting with the best steaks in town - and the wait staff is fantastic. Lubick's is fast becoming our favorite restaurant in Fort Collins."

  • "went here for a valentine's day dinner. fully expected to pay top dollar, but the result was far less than the pricetag. the salad was tiny, filet was dry (even for a medium well). overall very disappointing. mostly tasted like standard bar food throughout town. Nothing special and nothing to warrant 120 bucks. we won't be back."

  • "Do not go anywhere else, this is the best in Colorado by far. Took some business associates from Texas there and they were impressed. The bacon wrapped scallops are to die for. Buffalo ribeye was outstanding as was the prime rib."

  • "My dining experience at Sonny Lubick's Steakhouse was amazing! The setting was really nice with light but good hearted music to enjoy while sitting down. The service was outstanding. Both of our waiters constantly checked in on us and kept up with water and bread and checking on our food. Our original waiter Jason was great at explaining the menu and had an apt knowledge of what was on there and how everything tasted and which items he recommended. The food was fabulous! First they start you off with some bread and three different kinds of butter. We were overwhelmed with the options and enjoyed each one. The steak was excellent and among the best I've ever had. All in all this was an incredible dining experience, I will come again."

  • "Sonny Lubick Steakhouse was a successor to Nico's Catacombs, where we went a couple times after moving to Fort Collins during the early 2000s. SLS has been in business about five years now. For us it's a special occasion, fine dining restaurant; however, we also like the steakburger & beer special in the bar, and we do that every few months. As a special occasion place, SLS has a list of standby entrees, which are quite delicious, and a variety of excellent appetizers, of which the crab cakes are terrific. The "sides" are a treat, too. Wine list is excellent. Servers are trained well, don't hover while you eat and attentive to detail."

  • "This is the worst experience I've ever had! Outback has better food-and service- than this establishment! Our steaks were completely charred on both sides and when asked about this, our server rudely responded, "its a thick steak, thats how its cooked." Well, for $40+ a steak, they should properly know how to cook a slab of meat! Between the lack of service, smart remarks, and horribly cooked food- we will NEVER return nor refer friends to this place. Do not waste your money here!"
