"This amazing BYOB very sweetly accommodated my party of 5 for a birthday party. The service was a little bit slow, but we did not mind because they had put together all the outdoor tables to fit our party and we were enjoying the lovely spring weather outside. Everybody ordered an appetizer and an entree, and after tasting everybody's dishes, I was sorry I hadn't ordered what they had, yet still did not want to give up my own food. What capped of a perfect evening was when Marc, the chef came out at the end to wish the birthday girl many happy returns. I am so grateful it is in my neighbourhood."

"Wonderful neighborhood find. Smoked salmon & heirloom tomato salad appetizers were excellent on their spring menu. Lamb and short rib entrees were moist, tender and tasty. And we enjoyed both the key lime brulee (not overly lime-y... just right to me) and the chocolate collection for dessert. Did not feel rushed at all. and don't forget that you can park in the 'permit only' lot next to the restaurant - very helpful piece of information to have, as parking otherwise is tight."

"I've always been a fan of Sonata -- the service, ambiance and food are beyond amazing. My husband and I went for my birthday last Thursday night. Knowing it was a BYOB and forgetting to bring a bottle the waiter gave us two glasses of red for free. Every course was flavorful and beautifully presented. The evening ended with the reasonable check and two homemade delicious chocolates. If I could dine at Sonata every night, I really would!"

"This is a gem of a BYOB in Northern Liberties. The food is just outstanding. The jerusalem artichoke soup was to die for, and the vegetarian options were terrific. Even dessert was spectacular - chai creme brulee with chocolate mousse. My new favorite!"

"Stumbled upon Sonata on line, liked the description, and decided to try it even its a bit of a hike for us - and glad we did! Crispy pork belly app was perfectly done with an interesting compressed apple side. Short rib was wonderful - flavorful, cooked just right - with unusual & very delicious celery root. Salmon was excellent. Ambience was really nice - clean lines with a modern/art deco fusion; not overcrowded like so many BYOs that have tables on top of each other. Service was just right - attentive but not intrusive. Very nice, food/creativity reminds me of Matyson in its early days. Glad we tried it and will definitely be back."
