This place was really popular. We had reservations for 3, yet were seated at a round table for 6 near several empty tables for 4.
What was most odd was that those didn't fill up, yet the hostess stand was turning people away saying there was a 2 hour wait. Several tables stayed empty the entire time we were there. Let me set the tone...JAM PACKED SATURDAY NIGHT. EVERYWHERE is crowded...people EVERYWHERE and we walk into SolToro three minutes before our reservation and our table is ready and waiting. Josh, our server comes over and goes over the special, takes our drink order gets us chip and salsa and we are off and running. The food here is off the hook and tonight, Josh was on his A +++ game, REALLY taking great care of us and making the time spenpt there great. He allowed us to take our time and was able to answer all questions that we asked. Hot chips and salsa were very good tonight with the salsa really hitting the spice mark. Portion size on the dinners here is large and were served piping hot. I had the chicken buritto and my wife had the Carne Asada a La Tampiquena which is a marinated grilled
skirt steak, served with a cheese enchilada, guacamole, sour cream, rice and refried black beans. The skirt steak was very very tender and well seasoned. OUTSTANDING chips and salsa, chips served hot and fresh order the extra hot salsa along with the regular a great combination. Lunch was a caesar salad with grilled chicken which was very good. The greens were cold and the grilled chicken was piping hot...very very good.
