Exceptional - 5 Star eveningMy wife and I agree it was beyond outstanding - food, service, wine list..... will definitely recommend to all!! Ask for Sarah, she made the evening totally relaxed and enjoyable as our server.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMphenomenal!Everything here was great. Our waiter Tyler made our dining experience wonderful. Food was great. get the smoked gouda mac and cheese if you go, also the halibut was wonderful. If you want a little slice of heaven get the foie gras with the blueberry bread.. awesome.. Nothing was bad there.. great6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a pleasure to eat atAlways a pleasure to eat at Solstice. About half the time I go I get the vegetarian entree and it never disappoints. Also had a delicious margarita. Thanks for a great meal, as always.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFoodie Fix in the SouthThe decor over-reaches a little in this locally-influenced bistro situated in a pretty standard-looking strip mall. The staff exudes southern charm and the dishes show creativity and pack much more than expected flavor, making this self-proclaimed "wine bar and bistro" a standout in a land of Waffle House and lower-end chain restaurant fare. Grilled shrimp with grits, huge hamburgers with shoestring fries, and salads keep the menu well-rounded but also focused. Do not miss the smoked gouda mac and cheese with bacon. As our server correctly offered, "it's life-changing!"6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Again!Food was excellent, as always. Consistently well prepared and tasty dishes. Solstice is always a reliable choice for outstanding food.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's was surprisingly awesome,It's was surprisingly awesome, I was running late on anniversary ideas and this place blew my mind with the overall appearance and professional staff. The staff was courteous and friendly. The service was good and the food
amazing. My girlfriend and i had a very nice dinner and made an even better memory there.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe BestSolstice is the best restaurant in a 50 square-mile radius. There are several daily specials, both appetizers and entrees, so it is never "same old, same old." The vegetables are prepared imaginatively and there is always a selection between meats, shellfish and fish. A good to very good wine list and the mixed drinks are prepared properly.
The wait staff is friendly and professional.
As an ex-New Yorker, I would be pleased to eat in a restaurant of that caliber there.
Highly recommended.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMBest in Northeast ColumbiaThough a bit noisy after 7PM, excellent food choices, wine list is superb, and great service. This time we had friends traveling with us. All four of us were extremely pleased by the quality of the food from appetizers to desserts. Everything we ordered was beautifully prepared and presented. I was pleased and relieved that Solstice was just as good as the first time we dined there. It was a great way to begin a two-week trip.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMPure ClassicMore Bang For Buck Great Service And Extremely NiceSeeing5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful graduation celebration. The food exceeded our expectations. The menu is always so different from what you find at most area restaurants. I really like that they offer items I would never buy and prepare on my own.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went to dinner to celebrateWe went to dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. John, who is the assistant manager, was our waiter. I had sheepshead drumfish, and my husband had the pork shoulder (slow-roasted 15 hours). Both were delicious. The service was superb.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner with my sisterDinner with my sister was lovely. She ad the salmon and I had the pork shoulder. Both were excellent. I found my slow roasted and cartelized pork to be just mouth wateringly delicious it had one crispy side, which I love on pork, yet the meat was fork tender and moist. The potatoes and green beans were a good choice for the sides. My sisters salmon was cooked to order for her, which for me was too well done but that is exactly how she likes it so it was perfect. She ordered the portobello fries as a side. They were very lightly battered and delicious. We were too full to enjoy desert at the table but bot brought home orders of the strawberry spring rolls, which I enjoyed as a late night snack.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMSolstice excells--pure andSolstice excells--pure and simple. It was our first time there but certainly won't be our last. Our waiter was knowledgable, helpful and efficient. The food was fantastic. It looked picture perfect. Everything was tasty without being too salty and cooked to perfection. My husband had the flat iron steak that he really enjoyed.I had steak as well that was luscious. The bread was marvelous as well. Didn't get to try the mac and cheese. Good reason to go back soon.We had an early reservation and were the first ones there. It was a relaxed comfortable ambience. I thought the tables were well placed. It was fun watching the place come to life.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMI loved the feel of this restaurantI loved the feel of this restaurant - very comfortable and cozy. I will definitely return to try more dishes. The pepper seared pork tenderloin was very flavorful and delicious, and the smoked gouda-bacon mac & cheese was, by far, the best mac & cheese I've ever tasted. I would also recommend the strawberry-white chocolate spring rolls for dessert. They were amazing! Service was well timed and very friendly.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I were celebratingMy husband and I were celebrating our anniversary on our first trip to Columbia. We looked up a few special occasion restaurants, but Solstice's menu grabbed our interest. My husband had the ribeye and I had the salmon. Everything was amazing! We even ordered the smoked Gouda bacon Mac and cheese side dish, which was more food than we needed, but oh so delicious. Highly recommend.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and service! The food and service was excellent. The restaurant seemed a little out-of-place in its current location, though. It would "feel" better in a downtown or historic district-type location.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall, we had a great meal.Overall, we had a great meal. The service was very nice and we didn't feel rushed. The portions were hefty and delicious. Best part was dessert... Banana-kopita...Amazing!
The only downside, in my opinion, is the wall seating. I felt like I was dining with the people next to us, the tables were very close.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMA favorite spot-food alwaysA favorite spot-food always superb! Best service I have ever seen in my life. Wine did seem to be the feature, but was not pushed to buy (I don't drink) and if it's possible to ask for servers, you want Shawn, best waiter I've ever seen, my glass never got under half-full. The food was amazing. The manager stopped by both half-way through and at the end to make sure we had a great time, and we did!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMNever have I had a bad diningNever have I had a bad dining experience.
