Solo BistroAlways PerfectionOne of our favorite restaurants in Maine. The food is creative and exceptional. I am gluten free and am easily accommodated. Fresh and delicious. The owners and staff work hard and have really created a gem. We highly recommend Solo Bistro to anyone who appreciates an excellent meal.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMClassic BistroWonderful menu that had changed significantly from 2 weeks prior. The menu wasn't quite as extensive as the online menu led us to believe. However, as we don't eat meat that reduced our choices considerably. They had a good wine list from which to choose.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMduck entrée was delish ...duck entrée was delish ... service was very attentive... The food was locally sourced, very fresh and the menu, although not extensive, was diverse and had many intriguing dishes. I had the prix fixe menu on the night we ate there, including a lovely, subtle parsnip soup, a flavorful lamb shank with fingerling potatoes and a marvelous chocolate cake. My companion had the grilled vegetables Napoleon, and although I thought it was a quite interesting dish, I don't think the description on the menu quite prepared her for what it actually was.
The service was absolutely superb! The perfect mixture of server availability at a moments notice without the unctuous interjection of "is everything alright?" every 10 minutes.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely restaurant, very goodLovely restaurant, very good food. Wish the room were a bit warmer (temperature).3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMA Gem!This place is a gem. We went for the special Wednesday eve prix fix menu- and it was a fabulous deal! The first course, a parsnip-vanilla soup, was out of this world!!!!! Great service, great wine list. A special night!3/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
