"Solera was pretty out of my way (I don't think Uptown stretches that far east!), but well worth the drive. I took a chance when I couldn't find a table at one of the restaurants I was hoping to try, and I'm so glad I did. The waitress was friendly, prompt, and helpful (she made a fabulous wine recommendation). The food was very good - around the table, we tried scallops, tuna, chicken, steak, and pork - and everyone was happy. The scallops and truffle mac is a must-order. Salads and soup were all very good as well. I would definitely go back to Solera, even if I'm not in the neighborhood."

"We must go to Solera more often. It is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with an excellent food and wine selection. Goose, always makes sure we have a good experience. The scallops were prepared perfectly, and the pork special melted in your mouth. Always a pleasure at Solers."

"Our second dinner at Solera was even better than the first. Terrific food--especially the Thai calamari--good wine list, enticing desserts--the molten chocolate cake was light but rich--and great cappuccinos. Our server was the best: friendly, on-the-spot efficient, and clearly enjoying the restaurant. Thank you--we look forward to next time and can't wait for patio dining!"

"We have been to Solera 6 times & usually enjoy ourselves; however, this experience was lacking. Our server was much more focused on his boss' guests' table than ours. Long gaps in service from the start & even getting the check picked up was a wait. We watched as his boss' table got attentive service, but our server glanced in our direction & checked with our table 1 out of 3 times he checked on theirs. I know, you make your boss happy. But your boss wouldn't have a restaurant if it weren't for customers. Maybe the boss has enough customers? In addition to the poor service, two dishes we ordered had a side of risotto. Neither risotto was palatable - bland & too sticky. We let the server know about it - not even an apology. It's too bad."

"This was our 2nd trip to Solera and it did not disappoint. The Scallops and Mac & Cheese are delicious and we were also recommended a great wine that really went well with our dinners. Such a wonderful atmosphere too, look forward to going back from some sangria on the porch this summer."

"The only negative to our experience was the tremendous noise generated by the bar area as it was a wine tasting night. When the dining room filled up, the noise definitely interfered with our enjoyment of the evening. Otherwise, as always, the food and service were terrific!"

"Was hoping for the full menu so we booked after the end of 5280 Restaurant week, but they decided to run it thru the weekend (bill was less expensive than it could of been). Had my heart set and expectations high for the white truffle mac and cheese...it made my mouth sad. Think my homemade mac n' cheese is much better. None the less, want to go again to experience the full menu and would suggest for a change of pace, romantic, quiet nite out."

"The service was outstanding. The waiter had an excellent knowledge of the foods, their preparation, and wines that were available to be paired. The atmosphere was quiet and intimate. Perfect for that occasion with a few friends or someone special."
