The musical selection was also a bit strange -- too upbeat perhaps rather than relaxing and conducive to conversation. I loved the veal osso bucco and the desserts. Would definitely dine there again. Even when one guest in our party had a (minor) issue with the temperature of his food (not hot enough), it was handled quickly and with professionalism by our server. The restaurant was perfect! It was great for conversation, out waitress Sherri was very knowledgable and fun. We loved our food. I ordered the calamari for an appetizer and the sweet potato lasagna for my entree. Soo soooo good!! I highly recommend this for any occasion. I didn't see anyone there with kids and none of us ordered any alcohol so I can't comment on that but they had an extensive drink menu to choose from. My only complaint was that it took a long time for our entree's to come...but we had plenty to talk about to keep us entertained. We sat on the patio, along the narrow strip east of the building and found the location a bit noisy ... nothing you could help. The service was quick and friendly. We ordered the bruschetta to start and both of us had the Sole pizza. It was very good. Nice thin crust. Dessert was very good. The setting - an old machine shop for the original Seagram Distillery, has been transformed into an upscale, attractive wine bar-style venue, although the emphasis is more on food than drinking. The dining room is not large, but that give it a feeling of attractive intimacy. . The menu is eclectic, with some good pizza and pasta, as well as mains that change seasonally and a nice selection of well-done openers.
