We were only going to be in Nashville for a short time and Sole Mio came highly recommended. We were not disappointed! Service was excellent. Food was prompt and tasted great. Also, we made our reservation online and with short notice but they still greeted us by name on our arrival.

I find dining at Sole Mio before attending an event at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center to be convenient. With valet parking included, it is a good value. However, the food is nothing special. I wouldn't be reluctant to eat there, just don't expect anything special.

We had an excellent experience. Food and service excellent. Our waiter was especially attentive and helpful. Certainly an evening worth re-experiencing. Seems to be a destination as is a bit out of the way, but if going to symphony hall this is the place for dinner, or just a long, elegant dinner. Very worth the hunt.

Sole Mio had a new menu does not appeal to us as much as the old and the prices are higher--about $100 for a two two-course meals and tip with no drinks. Our food and service were good but not what we had experienced the several times we had been there before. It's a good place to go before the symphony but we have lost our enthusiasm for Sole Mio for our future dining in downtown Nashville and will recommend it with reservation to others.

Just a quick walk across the parking lot from Hampton Inn and we landed here! Food was very good, but a bit pricey for flatbread and linguine in my opinion. Drinks were fantastic, but also a bit on the pricey side by a few bucks. Overall a nice dinner! Noise level is loud, but the dining room is small, so you'd expect that. Just a couple of blocks from Broadway make this a convenient place to grab dinner!

Great food, clearly freshly made and all fresh ingredients. I would have expected to pay a lot more than I did for such fresh, delicious authentic food. Even though I am not an Italian food aficionado, I could easily tell the differences between American Italian food and this authentic Italian food.

It was some sort of seafood polenta creation which was a tri-colored (yellow-parmesan, green-basil, red-pepper/spice) with scallops and shrimp. The polenta was a bit dry, but the seafood was good. The overall presentation attempted to be artistic, but suffered from a small plate and an odd mixture of sauces. I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. But you don't go to Sole Mio for haute cuisine, you go there because of the free parking when going to the Schermerhorn or the CM Hall of Fame. And the food is pretty good.

Had not been to Solo Mio in awhile, since May they have a new Chef from New York schooled in French and Italian cuisine. New waiter from New Jersey and great new menu. I ordered one of the specials with scallops, shrimp and tricolor polena . I really love basil and they really used basil. I had a rose which was lovely. The waiter guided us patiently through the new menu, the food was fantastic. The menu offered a lot of variety and you see the French influence with the new chef.

We visited from out of town for the Nashville marathon. The Food was very good authentic Italian, but for a comparable meal at other Italian Resturants, I felt my money would be better spent elsewhere. Service was good overall. The main issue being, our server spoke very fast and did not adapt to all members of our party and the knowledge level that we had of the menu. Good attention was paid to our table by multiple members of the staff. The Resturant is in a revitalized area of Nashville, but remains an older building and could benefit from a remodel to increase ambiance.

We have had great meals at Sole Mio but this was not one of them. The featured fish dish was fishy tasting and the polenta that came with it was dry and tasteless. The penne pasta with pesto and chicken was watery. The lobster gnocchi was luke warm and the gnocchi was overcooked and gummy. The filet mignon however, was perfect. FYI this was a party of 4.

My partner & I had plans to go to the Symphony with friends. Between this amazing dinner & amazing performance of the symphony playing Queen songs it was a perfect night. It has been a very long time since I have had a meal like that, as was the same for my partner & friends. It really could not have been any better. The only thing that would've made it a bonus was if we had had time to have the Tiramasu(spelling?) I guess we will just have to come back for that!!!!! Also, our waiter was absolutely great. Thank you all for the great experience.

Amazing the reviews for this place were so far apart. Some rated excellent and others rated poorly. I would have to confirm with those that rated poorly. It was awful, tasteless food. I don't think I've ever had Italian food that was tasteless, but this was. For a downtown restaurant, there was no ambiance. I felt like I was at a dining room in a retirement home. So short and sweet, would not go back and would not recommend. As for simplicity of Open Table, always love the ease of the service.

We had been to Sole Mio numerous times in the past and it was fine, but the food we were served last weekend was a huge dissapointment. The ceasar salad was OK, but the bread they brought out was stale as it just crumbled when you tried to tear it in half. My small portion of lobster ravioli ($29) was undercooked and chewy, and my wife's eggplant parmesian ($19)was flavorless mush. The service was fine but it could not make up for the quality of the food. If we had the time available we would have sent it all back. They were at half capacity at 7:00 on a Saturday night - for obvious reasons.

Overall, our experience was a positive one. Everything was very good and the service was outstanding. We started with appetizers, which we could have made a meal out of. There were four adults in our party, and everyone was pleased with their meal. The only exception was the veal dish was overcooked. The room we were in was a bit noisy, it was very hard to hear each other at normal conversation tones. Valet parking made it easy to get in and out of, despite being next-door to the Nashville Symphony. I would go again and recommend to friends

We shared several items for all our courses. We enjoyed their approach to a caprese salad. Had a delicious mushroom polenta appetizer. Shared their stuffed veal that was great and finished with their tiramisu. Certainly a great stop if you are nearby but overall a good choice for northern Italian while in Nashville.
