The food was wonderful and presented well. The restaurant is pleasant and we were able to talk without yelling across the table. Staff were helpful and we received good service. The only drawback was how long it took to get our entrees. The appetizers came quickly but the main courses took almost a half an hour.

We stayed at the Omni in Nashville and looked on Urban Spoon to find a recommended place for dinner. Little did we know this was a block away and such amazing food. ALL of the pasta is homemade, not just some. Service was great as was the wine list. I highly recommend!

Dined at Sole Mio twice this week. Very good food at reasonable price. Has a nice mom n pop place feel. The manager, Joe, is a genuinely nice guy who clearly has a passion for the restaurant he runs. Would highly recommend a visit if you want great italian food and awesome service.

We had been to Sole Mio numerous times in the past and it was fine, but the food we were served last weekend was a huge dissapointment. The ceasar salad was OK, but the bread they brought out was stale as it just crumbled when you tried to tear it in half. My small portion of lobster ravioli ($29) was undercooked and chewy, and my wife's eggplant parmesian ($19)was flavorless mush. The service was fine but it could not make up for the quality of the food. If we had the time available we would have sent it all back. They were at half capacity at 7:00 on a Saturday night - for obvious reasons.

Service and management were great--when one meal was undercooked severely, management immediately stepped in and offered a replacement and free dessert. The other diner's meal was fabulous. Thus, one bad and one fabulous = average. Service was impeccable, however, on a very busy night.

This is the second time we've been to Sole Mio, and it doesn't disappoint. I ordered the scallops special and my husband ordered the gnocchi with sausage and both were delicious! We topped off the nite with the chocolate, pecan, coconut, cheesecake. Their wine list is also pretty good, and the service is phenomenal!

Overall, our experience was a positive one. Everything was very good and the service was outstanding. We started with appetizers, which we could have made a meal out of. There were four adults in our party, and everyone was pleased with their meal. The only exception was the veal dish was overcooked. The room we were in was a bit noisy, it was very hard to hear each other at normal conversation tones. Valet parking made it easy to get in and out of, despite being next-door to the Nashville Symphony. I would go again and recommend to friends

We stayed next door at the Hyatt Place. Made a reservation and was very pleasantly surprised to be able to walk in and have a great meal. We shared several items for all our courses. We enjoyed their approach to a caprese salad. Had a delicious mushroom polenta appetizer. Shared their stuffed veal that was great and finished with their tiramisu. Certainly a great stop if you are nearby but overall a good choice for northern Italian while in Nashville.

Sol Mio is now what every star quality Italian restaurant should be: fresh, from scratch, authentic-- featuring the inherent flavors of each ingredient in the dish. The pesto was perfectly balanced between oil, basil, pine nuts, and garlic. The linguini cooked al dente perfectly. Caesar salad slso balanced just perfectly. We had the grouper special with pea and squash risotto and a carrot honey reduction couli. It was clean pure flavors--not overly sauced or overly complicated. Our server, Chris, was so good we will ask for him every time We will make Sol Mio one of our regulars.

At least the waiter recognised there was some difficulty in the kitchen and tried to steer us away from some dishes. I chose a gnocchi with vegetables in a tomato based sauce but the sauce was very dry and pasty. The gnocchi were great in texture. Too bad.

We hadn't been to Sole Mio in this location and the ambience was great. The food is authentic Italian, leaning a little to the breaded side, but flavorful. The clams were quite good, but the treat was the Arabiata, which really was arabiata-hot and angry. Desserts were really good, perhaps on the lighter side for cheese cake and tira misu. And, added treat, I didn't have to explain what went into a Negroni. As a good Italian place, they knew.

The food was mediocre. The Caesar salad was a bit watery and the Fettucini carbonara tasted more like fettucine alfredo with a few cubes of ham instead of pancetta. I had to ask for a bit more pancetta. The sauce was relatively flavorless. I can't recommend this restaurant.

This visit was a little off. Usually my rating would be excellent across the board. Perhaps the staff were a little surprised by a large crowd on a Sunday evening. The service was slow. The muscles were over cooked. I still give Sole Mio a good recomendation because in all my visits there this is the first less than excellent experience.

I've visited Sole Mio on several occasions in the past. The service and food provided on my most recent visit were, in a word, horrible. My order was simple - one order of manicotti. It took 48 minutes to get my order. It was THE worst manicotti I have ever eaten. Words cannot adequately describe the taste and texture of the food. One bite was all I could endure. The cheese, though hot, was hard and tasteless, as were the tomatoes which topped all this mess. Very odd. To top it all off, my server never inquired about my meal despite the fact that the majority of my order was left on the plate. With so many other options now available downtown, I'll not be wasting my money on the poor food and service now being provided here.

Tried Sole Mio for the first time last week, my wife and I both enjoyed it. She had the filet and it was excellent, I had the braciola di maiale and it was very good, if slightly salty due to the brining. Only complaint I had was with the bland polenta that came with it. Wine list is a tad high, but not outlandish. The Symphony menu was a pretty good deal for my pork dish. Nice having the free valet there, and the service overall was quite good, especially given the fact that it was a very busy night in town when we were there. It's not Valentinos, but then it didn't cost $200 dollars for dinner either. I'd go back.
