A word from Sole Mio
With over 18 years of award winning dining, Sole Mio continues it's tradition of authentic Italian in downtown Nashville including being crowned Taste of Nashville's Best Italian 2010!

Sole Mio started on the beaches of the Adriatic Sea over 25 years ago. Owner GianCarlo Agnoletti first opened in his hometown near Rimini, Italy. He began a passion for wonderfully fresh Northern Italian food and is pleased to share it with you here in Nashville, specializing in handmade pastas and homemade sauces and desserts. Insalata Di Mare, Mussels, Lasagna, Tortelloni, Fresh Fish and Veal are the favorites. Don’t forget to save room for our Homemade Tiramisu!

Extensive wine list and full bar is also available.

Diner Reviews
  • "Not thrilled with my pasta. It was too heavy on the cream. Chicken on top was tasty and the Caesar was also very good."

  • "I use to eat at Sole Mio often - but, over the last couple of years it seems to continue to deteriorate in quality. For one thing most of the menu is more like a fast food Italian place - pick your pasta and pick your sauce. The flourless chocolate cake was very rich and a more than generous portion - but, had anyone in the kitchen tried to eat it. It literally required a steak knife and some chopping to get a bite off - I ended up leaving half on the plate - the effort to eat is was more than it was worth. All in all, Sole Mio remains open because of it's location near the symphony and it has valet parking - two pluses for downtown. Just wish they would improve their menu."

  • "Service was great. Food was just ok. I may give it another try. Could be just a mistake on what I ordered."
    Dined on 4/12/2014
  • "SLOW service and mediocre Italian. Plus they have the worst coffee of any restaurant that I have been to. Sole Mio used to be VERY good, but right now it is just fair. Too many other choices to dine elsewhere."
    Dined on 2/22/2014
  • "Good location. Easy walking distance from downtown hotels but food did not live up to expectations. Not a good value for the quality and prices charged."
    Dined on 4/9/2014
  • "Went to Nashville for the Women's Final Four. All of the restaurants were crowded, and we had a big crowd. Found this wonderful place on Open Table, and what a wonderful experience we had. The food was outstanding, and the service was wonderful!"
    Dined on 4/8/2014
  • "We were in town for an event, this was walking distance from the hotel; service was very good, as were the dihes we sampled, but nothing really outstanding"
    Dined on 4/7/2014
  • "Delicious food which was made even better by great service! There was a bachelorette party the same time which was loud and the service staff was more than sympathetic and understanding from both parties end's."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "Arrived on time, waited about 10 minutes. The menu, food and service were great. Have eaten here before. Same result."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "My Old favorite restaurant is redoing their menu, adding more true homemade Italian favorites. Even adding more in house made desserts."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "Perfect location for getting to hockey, symphony, etc. Leavd the car parked in free valet and walk a short distance to whatever you want to do."
    Dined on 4/4/2014
  • "A bit pricey compared to other restaurants that offer the same food. Location was the selling point. Close to the symphony."
    Dined on 4/4/2014
  • "We have eaten at this restaurant many times. The meal was delicious and generous, the service personable and considerate, they made a nice fuss over our anniversary, it was delightful. We will continue to go back."

  • "Our food was wonderful and the service was great! Thank you Mr. Carlo, Kevin and Melissa for your hospitality- we felt like family. Glad to know that you have gluten free items for my daughter. What a gem-We will be back!"

  • "Near symphony hall, hockey games and new Nashville convention center. Reservations a must for dinner."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "excellent food - muscles were outstanding as an appetizer, as were the pasta dishes."

  • "This is good spot to hit if you are going to the symphony. It has a nice atmosphere and a decent wine list. The food was just ok. I expected a bit more. I had the fish special, the Romeo and Juliet. It was halibut and salmon over broccoli rabe. The sauce over the halibut couldn't stand up to the fish. The halibut was nicely cooked and delicious, just because it was good fish, not because it was flavored amazing. The rabe was very bitter, inedible to me. I realize that rabe can be very bitter, but I have eaten it before and found it appetizing. The salmon was nice, slightly overcooked but the sauce paired well with the fish. My daughter who is a vegetarian found the menu limiting and dislike her overly oiled salad. Good bread."

  • "First off, this place has hiked its prices for everything but pasta. I ordered a glass of wine which was on the menu which they did not have. I ordered a limoncello which it took the bartender a long time to come up with---he didn't think they had any at first. This was also on the menu. Lastly, I ordered spumoni for dessert but they brought me neopolitan ice cream instead--- they did not have it even though it was on the menu. Now I registered my dissatisfaction with the server, who was fairly attentive. Never did she offer to take off any charges nor did the manager come over. I really resent their indifference, and it will be a long time before I return."

  • "If you are attending an event, play, symphony downtown, eat here before you go. You won't regret it!"

  • "The restuarant had good service and good food. The lighting was romantic for a nice date. The one complaint I would like to share was that the waiter gave me a dumbfound look when j asked him for a to go box for my date. She has about 1/4 of her plate left but since the food is pricey she wanted to take it home. I thought it was a rude gesture of the waiter. Overall it was a good place to eat."

  • "Walked in at time of reservation and was seated immediately. Food was fantastic, as was the service. Plan to return."
    Dined on 3/22/2014
  • "Very disappointed in the food. The bruschetta was hard (Bread) and cold and very hard to eat. And the eggplant ravioli (or whatever it was called) was mushy and no real flavor. The service was excellent but the food lacked in flavor and temperature. Way too expensive for what I received."

  • "My date was very impressed it made her feel like I'd actually taken her to Italy."

  • "Sole Mio is always a good choice for a enjoyable meal before a downtown event."

  • "We very much enjoyed our evening at Sole Mio. Our waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. We truly enjoyed the experience."
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "Food was very good, but server was terrible. Gave us the wine list and never returned for an order. We had to ask twice to get him to take our order. And he never asked how our meal was when we were served. Really brought down the whole experience."
    Dined on 3/14/2014
  • "The restaurant is very accommodating with free parking and is within easy walking distance to several entertainment venues."
    Dined on 3/20/2014
  • "We've been eating here for yrs and love the food and ambience but the service is getting poorer as they get busier. it may be the hectic pre-symphony crush but hope the owner's work on this"
    Dined on 3/14/2014
  • "The food was absolutely horrible! It's as if someone completely sucked the flavor out of everything. There were 5 of us there and no one had any difference in opinion. Between all 5 different dishes, soup, meatballs, and the free dessert. I would never go back to this place nor would I recommend it to anyone."

  • ". Room old, needs a reno. Wine good, app's OK, but entrees were very bad. @ of the same entrees came out different..dry and tasteless. The third over sauced. When asked by server if all was good, I told her no. She reacted and got the manager. . . With a seat that can see into kitchen where they were lining up the finished plates, as a chef I would wonder why it was on a metro rack, and I didn't see any source of heat to keep the plates hot. I would wonder why there is a line to get into this restaurant and would never recommend this place to dine, as a matter of fact I will always not suggest it to anyone. Suggestion to them, get a "CHEF". This menu is old and out dated, and simple....but poorly done. Attention stay away."

  • "Service was a bit slow and had to find the waiter to get pepper for oil/vinegar dressing for bread. All in all a very good meal. New menu has pasta mix-n-match which may be good for some, but my old favorites were not available."

  • "This Italian restaurant has old world charm, food and drinks. Conveniently located near the Symphony Center and within walking distance of other performance venues, the restaurant provides a great pre-concert dinner or after-concert desserts. Service is exceptional. Free valet parking is a plus since downtown parking is always expensive. I look forward to our next visit."

  • "This was our first visit and unfortunately this will probably be last visit. We used complimentary valet parking and ended up waiting several minutes since there was only one valet on duty. Then the hostess seemed over whelmed and we sat several minutes despite having reservation. The waiter was pleasant but service was extremely slow. We waited over an hour to receive food which was tepid. The waiter took my plate back to kitchen and returned it to me in same condition as before. The tables are very close together, making conversation difficult. The experience did not justify the prices, food quality was only marginal."
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "We ordered our appetizer at the same time as our main dishes. Our appetizer of antipasti only included one cheese. Our dinner did not arrive for over an hour and it was cold. We returned it. The manager was not apologetic nor sincere when he asked if he could box something up for us. We have eaten here many times over the years. We will not return."

  • "Always enjoy Sole Mio, but this time was an exception. It was quite a few people there so we seemed rushed by the wait staff. My wife ordered a chicken Ceasar salad which she has enjoyed in the past. The wait staff brought her a salmon Ceasar salad and instead of taking it back- they took her salmon- left her with the Ceasar salad and 10 minutes later after half of salad was eaten, they brought her a small plate with chicken on it. My spinach mannicoti was cold in places. But the caprese was excellent, but I had one portion left and the wait staff swiped my plate- maybe they were all wanting to get to the Billy Joel Concert!"
