We enjoyed the location, the food, and the view. Enjoyed everything in fact except the energy level of the server. Great guy, very competent and knowledgeable about the food items. However, we were there to slow down, relax, and enjoy some family time. He on the other hand was operating at a much faster speed. Has us looking at each other when he left our table and wondering what was so urgent. I'll chalk this up to just being "one of those days" for the server. We'll definitely be back, and I have already recommended the restaurant to friends.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD !!!!!!SOL is our favorite restaurant in Orange County. Any time we are in the area, we make sure to eat there at least twice!!! We're so excited that a new location has opened in Arizona, and will be frequenting that location on our yearly trips to the area. We had made reservations through OT and had requested a window sear for our anniversary. We were seated right away but at a bar table that happened to be outside. When we explained that we did not want to sit on stools next to the bar, the young woman clearly had no idea what to do even though there were empty tables that would have met our request. We were finally seated and the rest of the evening was great: wonderful server (Tony), great food options (the chicken and cheese enchiladas were a riff on enchiladas suisa and were delicious, my strawberry basil martini was amazing, the dinner salad was great and the comp dessert of sweet chips with chocolate and whipped cream was divine.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Mexican food, great placeIt was my first time at SOL, though I had heard some positive reviews before I dined here. I took some very foodie friends who were visiting from Bermuda. We all love Mexican food and really were hungry. We absolutely LOVED this restaurant!! The food was so tasty -- definitely made of all fresh ingredients and with the best blend of spices. We shared a flight of street tacos and really savored the chicken mole entree. Even the rice and beans tasted special. The margaritas were made of fresh lime juice and that made all the difference. It was also an electric atmosphere with lots of buzz and attentive service. Everyone liked the grilled corn appetizer and my Mango Chile margarita was excellent.
Onion rings were a hit.
Taco flight was mixed: pork was great, steak good, chicken so-so.
Very accommodating to one picky eater - no cilantro/no avocado.
