This mainstay has been around since I went to college in the 80's. It has to be great to survive this longevity. The food is well-prepared, fresh and very tasty. The drinks are also well-made. We can honestly say that this place is like wine - it gets better with age. Sol Azteca offers authentic Mexican food - or as authentic as one can get in Boston - and the service is great. Their drinks are good and they offer many delicious vegetarian dishes, as well. This place has a little bit of everything for everyone.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMCinco de Mayo LOVEThis place did NOT need a gimmick (hats or beads) to get people in the door - it just needed its lovely menu. All of the food was amazing. I am from southern california and I have an "issue" with new england mexican food BUT Sol Azteca hit the spot.
