  • "Soigné is a dark and quite spot that serves the neighborhood well. The flavors are rich and full and portions that seem small from apps to entrees, fill you up nicely. Beet salad is lovely as are the polenta fritters and the artichoke apps. Scallops were "metalicy" tasting but sorrounded by delicious home made gnocchi. My daughter didn't tell me until the end of the meal or they would have been sent back. Truffle fries were over truffled and unedible and I love truffle and fries are my passion. My daughter loves the "coffee and donuts" dessert- donut bites with a mocha-esq creme brûlée. Service was attentive and being repeat customers we were recognized by our waiter. That's a rarity, kudos. Overall Soigné is a solid 3.5 out of 5."

  • "While no one would ever compare the quality of food at Soigne to that at 11 Madison Park; they manage to keep a surprisingly innovative menu with slightly updated takes on classics like chicken & waffles. Don't miss the brioche french toast, truffle fries or the BLT. They keep their fruit puree for their bellinis seasonal--can't say enough about the strawberry bellini I had this past weekend. Service was a bit slow but friendly. I also don't mind lingering over the brunch. That's the point! I do think the decor could use a bit of an update; but overall, if you're in Park Slope and you want a reliably good brunch without dropping Michelin star money, I would highly recommend swinging by Soigne."

  • "This was my first time at Soigne, and it was lovely. The $30 prix fixe menu was a good deal. Delicious, slightly spicy crab cakes with lots of crab and little filler, and the duck confit was very good too. The ricotta cheesecake and the white chocolate bread pudding were both very good, but I like the cheesecake better--there was a wonderful sweet crunchiness to the crust, and dried cherries on top that were yummy. I also really liked it that there was an amuse bouche and a little, chocolatey, slightly salty cookie with the check. They also have nice wine flights. The restaurant is quiet and a little dark, with an elegant atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Soigne to others."

The omelet tasted like it had truffles or maybe truffle oil on it, decadent and delicious. But the real standout is the Bacon Biloxi Johnny, a smoky take on a Bloody Mary. They are habit-formingly good!!"

  • "We booked a party of 9 for a birthday dinner for a friend on the day of, then changed it to 7 people later that day. No problems at all. Our table was ready when promised, we had quite a few amuse bouches throughout the meal, and the service was attentive, but not overbearing. Among the highlights - the truffle fries, the risotto fritters and the tiny chocolate cookies. The music was 80's britpop, and was very popular with the 40-50+ crowd. None of the three couples attending the inner had ever eaten at the restaurant before, all had lived in the neighborhood for 5+ years, and we all agreed we would come back. A very pleasant night. "

Food was excellent! I ordered Pear Salad, Pan Seared Foie Gras and Short Rib with mushroom risotto, all very well prepared and great presentation. My friend ordered Risotto fritters, Sunchoke Soup and Venison and they were amazing too! I will definitely go back!"

  • "We were thrilled to discover Soigne, especially as our first visit included old friends staying with us for the weekend. Among the four of us we had just two of the entrees - venison and duck - and both were superb. The portions may be "nouvelle," i.e. small, but they are constructed around a variety of complementary preparations (celeriac, swiss chard, and chestnuts with the venison) that add up to a very satisfying whole. Our waitress's wine recommendation hit the spot as well. (The wine list, reasonably priced, includes many American bottles.) In comparison, the desserts disappointed, resulting in my four stars not five. Nice, moderately lit ambience, attractive bar set-up, fairly roomy - a very pleasant place to spend an evening."

Although off the beaten path, with Soigne (thankfully away from the busier dining neighborhoods), I was immediately pleased with the range and balance of its menu -- we had to please a variety of different tastes and we wanted fare that was "special occasion"-worthy. I liked the low-key energy and noise level, the little touches of special service (complimentary tastes of soup and dessert), our waitperson was attentive and very friendly, without being pushy, and above all the food was impeccably presented (and mostly delicious!). The entrees slightly missed the bullseye (the short rib and duck weren't vibrantly flavorful), but all was prepared exactly to our request. Definitely recommended."

Reasonable wine list, delicious scallops, polished service and lovely ambience makes this place a winner for me. If this was on a busier stretch, it would be packed.   • "I was looking for a place I could eat a Thanksgiving meal sans turkey and got fortunate enough to stumble on this little gem. As I walked in the door, I was greeted by friendly service and made myself at home at the bar where I discovered the extensive wine list and fun cocktail menu. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing, but what will make me come back again is Johnny, who makes the whole joint even more special than it already is. I was alone for the holidays and he made me feel at home and made me forget I was by myself. I don't think he realized it, but he and this place are the reason I wasn't super lonely and sad during the holidays. So if you get the chance, go get great food, amazing drinks, and talk to Johnny. :)"

  • "After a late minute Open Table search we made reservations for Thanksgiving here. The menu was GREAT! They had the traditional plate with wonderful turkey stuffed with apple and chesnut dressing, delightfully light sweet potatos, exceptional cranberry sauce, and the greens were small and crisp around the ends. I was really loving the traditinal menu items cooked by a talented chef that didn't feel the need to make them into some show of over the top "fanciness". Just the items that should be there and cooked to perfection. The menu also had a choice of short ribs with a red wine risotto, which was melt in your mouth awesomeness. The pumpkin cheesecake with candied pumkin seeds and cranberry ontop was one of my all time favorites!"

  • "My family had a great dinner at Soigne the other night. We were there with my father, who's 96 years old, and his only grandson, who was in town for the day. Everything was perfect. Food was great and the service was fantastic, especially when my father expressed interest a seared scallop appetizer that was only available on the four-course tasting menu, which he wasn't otherwise ordering from. The server handled it perfectly, succeeded in getting my father the dish and he really liked it. That was a very classy move and we all really appreciated it. That and the wonderful food made this a very special evening. After this great experience, we reserved for Thanksgiving. We went last year and had a wonderful meal."
