  • "Great for any occasion. However, it lends itself to a very romantic atmosphere."

  • "Soigné is a dark and quite spot that serves the neighborhood well. The flavors are rich and full and portions that seem small from apps to entrees, fill you up nicely. Beet salad is lovely as are the polenta fritters and the artichoke apps. Scallops were "metalicy" tasting but sorrounded by delicious home made gnocchi. My daughter didn't tell me until the end of the meal or they would have been sent back. Truffle fries were over truffled and unedible and I love truffle and fries are my passion. My daughter loves the "coffee and donuts" dessert- donut bites with a mocha-esq creme brûlée. Service was attentive and being repeat customers we were recognized by our waiter. That's a rarity, kudos. Overall Soigné is a solid 3.5 out of 5."

  • "While no one would ever compare the quality of food at Soigne to that at 11 Madison Park; they manage to keep a surprisingly innovative menu with slightly updated takes on classics like chicken & waffles. Don't miss the brioche french toast, truffle fries or the BLT. They keep their fruit puree for their bellinis seasonal--can't say enough about the strawberry bellini I had this past weekend. Service was a bit slow but friendly. I also don't mind lingering over the brunch. That's the point! I do think the decor could use a bit of an update; but overall, if you're in Park Slope and you want a reliably good brunch without dropping Michelin star money, I would highly recommend swinging by Soigne."

  • "This was my first time at Soigne, and it was lovely. The $30 prix fixe menu was a good deal. Delicious, slightly spicy crab cakes with lots of crab and little filler, and the duck confit was very good too. The ricotta cheesecake and the white chocolate bread pudding were both very good, but I like the cheesecake better--there was a wonderful sweet crunchiness to the crust, and dried cherries on top that were yummy. I also really liked it that there was an amuse bouche and a little, chocolatey, slightly salty cookie with the check. They also have nice wine flights. The restaurant is quiet and a little dark, with an elegant atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Soigne to others."

  • "Have been here before and will be back again- service, food and wine all top notch!"

  • "We had dinner here with a party of eight, and everyone was pleased. From our shared cheese plate and charcuterie to start, to the tiny donuts with creme brulee to finish, each dish was delicious: well prepared and pleasingly presented. Service was attentive but not obtrusive. Altogether a lovely little corner bistro. We will be back."

  • "Went for Mother's Day dinner, food was excellent but the service stole the show. The staff was absolutely lovely. The wine selection is superb and the cocktails are refreshingly different from the ordinary. I recommend the White Cosmo!"

  • "We ordered the lobster omelet and the chicken and waffles. The waffles have this airiness to them that makes you think they were made from birthday cake batter. The omelet tasted like it had truffles or maybe truffle oil on it, decadent and delicious. But the real standout is the Bacon Biloxi Johnny, a smoky take on a Bloody Mary. They are habit-formingly good!!"

  • "We booked a party of 9 for a birthday dinner for a friend on the day of, then changed it to 7 people later that day. No problems at all. Our table was ready when promised, we had quite a few amuse bouches throughout the meal, and the service was attentive, but not overbearing. Among the highlights - the truffle fries, the risotto fritters and the tiny chocolate cookies. The music was 80's britpop, and was very popular with the 40-50+ crowd. None of the three couples attending the inner had ever eaten at the restaurant before, all had lived in the neighborhood for 5+ years, and we all agreed we would come back. A very pleasant night. "

  • "We had the most delicious Easter brunch on Sunday. Food was absolutely delicious - and creative - and the service was superb. I can't recommend it enough. I'll be going back for sure! "

  • "We love going to Soigne we always have a great meal in a friendly surrounding with terrific service. We took our 6 year old daughter this time and 1) she loved it and 2) they treated her like a very special guest. This is the kind of neighborhood place with great food, special service and reasonable prices that we all dream about."

  • "We had a lovely meal here. My parents were visiting from out of town and were very impressed. And even though I wouldn't qualify this as a kid-restaurant, they had a really generous kid's meal and treated both of my sons very well. We will definitely be back."

  • "Soigne is definitely a Park Slope gem and I'm sorry I didn't discover it sooner! Staff is very friendly and professional (Amy, the hostess is a doll! John, the bartender, is very entertaining). Food was excellent! I ordered Pear Salad, Pan Seared Foie Gras and Short Rib with mushroom risotto, all very well prepared and great presentation. My friend ordered Risotto fritters, Sunchoke Soup and Venison and they were amazing too! I will definitely go back!"

  • "We were so happy with our dinner at Soigne! It was a special occasion and the service, the food, and the atmoshere were all wonderful! We recommend this restaurant! You won't be disappointed!"

  • "We were thrilled to discover Soigne, especially as our first visit included old friends staying with us for the weekend. Among the four of us we had just two of the entrees - venison and duck - and both were superb. The portions may be "nouvelle," i.e. small, but they are constructed around a variety of complementary preparations (celeriac, swiss chard, and chestnuts with the venison) that add up to a very satisfying whole. Our waitress's wine recommendation hit the spot as well. (The wine list, reasonably priced, includes many American bottles.) In comparison, the desserts disappointed, resulting in my four stars not five. Nice, moderately lit ambience, attractive bar set-up, fairly roomy - a very pleasant place to spend an evening."

  • "Delicious food with the perfect ambience for Valentine's Day. The service was on point and they even had the perfect playlist."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "The food was tasty the service decent and friendly But the ambience terrible. The lighting was glaring And too bright and the music was so, so, so bad and Too loud. There's a reason that there are just a Few types of acceptable for public spaces, because Some types of music are unbearable to some peoples Ears. Granted they turned it down when asked but it quickly Crawled up to full volume again. Will not return to eat here."

  • "We're been going to Soigne for about 3 years. Never disappointed. It's one of those neighborhood places that you totally root for and then smile when they catch on AND DON'T LOSE THEIR CHARM! We love eating here."

  • "The food is wonderful and equally wonderful is the sound level. One can actually have a conversation with one's dinner companions without having to yell, a rare find in this noisy city. The relative dining quiet makes it a fine dining experience."

  • "This is the second time I had the pleasure of dining at Soigne Restaurant and was again very impressed. They offer lovely options on the children's menu, too. Next time I'm in Park Slope, I'll certainly make another reservation."

  • "I was browsing places for my mom's birthday. Although off the beaten path, with Soigne (thankfully away from the busier dining neighborhoods), I was immediately pleased with the range and balance of its menu -- we had to please a variety of different tastes and we wanted fare that was "special occasion"-worthy. I liked the low-key energy and noise level, the little touches of special service (complimentary tastes of soup and dessert), our waitperson was attentive and very friendly, without being pushy, and above all the food was impeccably presented (and mostly delicious!). The entrees slightly missed the bullseye (the short rib and duck weren't vibrantly flavorful), but all was prepared exactly to our request. Definitely recommended."

  • "On a freezing Wednesday night, we were given a warm welcome at this neighborhood gem. Reasonable wine list, delicious scallops, polished service and lovely ambience makes this place a winner for me. If this was on a busier stretch, it would be packed. But we appreciated that it was away from 5th avenue and was quiet. We have eaten in most of the restaurants in Park Slope, and I think this is one of the better ones there. We plan to go back."

  • "We love this place. They are always welcoming to families. Adorable local place. We have been here a few times and always love coming back. The food is great and they always have a casual friendly vibe. Love the complimentary cinnamon rolls!"

  • "It is so satisfying to dine at Soigne. The food is wonderful, deserving of its elegant presentation and execution. The service is responsive to the wishes of the client without being intrusive. It is a wonderful end to a wonderful day,or a soothing end to a harrowing one.It has become my favorite restaurant and I take great pleasure in introducing it to my friends."

  • "Attractive setting, interesting menu, good wine. There seemed to be a problem getting everyone in my group served with warm food at the same time (there were 3 of us: one person's soup was fine, another's cold, as was their entree)."
    Dined on 12/31/2013
  • "Overall a nice dining experience. Johnnie the bartender was very nice and the staff was especially accomodating as my wife was 45 minutes late for our dinner reservation. Venison loin was excellent."

  • "fine cuisine tucked between the brownstones and apartment buildings in south Slope."
    Dined on 12/14/2013
  • "This is a great addition to the south park slope restaurant scene. The food is consistently flavorful, the drinks are healthy, and the servers are friendly, and attentive. We eat here for dinner often, and it has become our "go to" restaurant for consistently great meals."

  • "I was looking for a place I could eat a Thanksgiving meal sans turkey and got fortunate enough to stumble on this little gem. As I walked in the door, I was greeted by friendly service and made myself at home at the bar where I discovered the extensive wine list and fun cocktail menu. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing, but what will make me come back again is Johnny, who makes the whole joint even more special than it already is. I was alone for the holidays and he made me feel at home and made me forget I was by myself. I don't think he realized it, but he and this place are the reason I wasn't super lonely and sad during the holidays. So if you get the chance, go get great food, amazing drinks, and talk to Johnny. :)"
