"Willing to forgive cold coffee (especially if I've had a lovely gewurtztraminer) and sporadic service, but mislabeled main course combined with UES attitude - is a step too far. First the good{ - wine; companions enjoyed their French toast and burger w/egg and bacon; place almost fully handicapped accessible (entrance can be challenge) overall a plus. Now problem - crab cakes benedict.
Crab cakes OK; eggs perfectly poached, beautifully done. Only no muffin (as benedict requires) and asked for bread. Told they have none. Point to French toast. "Most people don't want bread," is reply. Gimme a break, I ordered eggs Benedict. w/Hollandaise. U think I'm worried about calories, carbs? Tip: stop playing nanny; that's Bloomberg's job."

"Went to Soigne for Easter Brunch having never been there before. I can't tell you how much my table raved about the food. All 7 of us tried something different off the brunch menu and no one was disappointed. I tried at least 5 of the dishes and they were all spectacular. My crabcake benedict was so good and I'm gonna have to go with the lobster omelette next time. I'll definitely head back here the next time I'm in Park Slope."

"The food was excellent and they had very good service. Also happy there was a lot of options for vegetarians and the desert (brownie) was excellent. Highly recommend for anyone in the neighborhood."

"As soon as we walked in, my boyfriend remarked that this looked like a Midtown spot. The place is laid out in a classy, elegant way, and I'd say yes except it doesn't have the stuffy appearance of a midtown Manhattan restaurant. Might be the uber friendly wait staff though. The food was great, his gnocchi was deliciously light, and my pork belly appetizer was excellent. Definitely a spot I will be returning to."

"A warm welcoming spot for a casual dining experiance. The surprise appitizers from the
chef is always an extra treat. All food is prepared exactly to order as promised. Staff is prompt & attentive. Excellent wine selection as well as a tap beer choices. Try the mothers milk stout to ease a hard day on the job."

"We had a very nice bargain dinner during Brooklyn Restaurant week. The food was beautifully presented: crab cakes, rib eye, and flourless chocolate cake, all delicious too. We ordered the wine flights that went with our dinners and most of them were also very nice, though the whites were not as impressive as the red and the dessert wine. My main criticism is that our server was overly familiar. He did his job well, taking our order accurately and bringing it in a timely manner, but told us all about himself (he plays both ice and roller hockey!), and chatted enthusiastically about anything that popped into his head. Not appropriate for such an upscale, and usually expensive place. We dined there once before and had a similar experience."

"We had a lovely time and will definitely go back. The wine-pairings (in particular, the pinot-noir and the cabernet) were really nice. Both were $28/bottle which is an absolute steal in a restaurant setting.

The food was great too. Imaginative without going overboard and delicious. The portions were just right and the service faultless.

If you live near Park Slope, you should definitely check it out."

"Took advantage of Brooklyn Restaurant Week menu and was pleasantly surprised. The quality and portions surpassed our expectations. Rib eye was cooked to perfection, crab cakes were warm and crispy and the truffle oils fries were superb. Service was friendly and attentive without being in your face. Looking forward to a return visit to sample some of the regular menu offerings."
